Ooh, just to let you know that I had a positive Tesco pregnancy test, yet I was NOT pregnant. I was so happy with the result, but my next one came up negative (not Tesco brand). I was so distressed that I took it into the Customer Service desk to show them how misleading I thought it was. Sorry to share this, and I really hope that you get the result that you want.

Jackstini · 07/09/2006 09:11

Nikie1 - any news? I did get a negative with first response after a positive with clearblue digital. I know the FR are supposed to catch the earliest positives but they didn't work for me

Janbo25 · 07/09/2006 09:08

why don't you try a clearblue digital so you can be 100% sure?

coggy · 07/09/2006 08:56

Have you tested again Nikie?
I hope it's a bfp for you.

I had something similar, a mixed result of positive and negative tests. I started to bleed and so went for some blood tests which showed I had a chemical pregnany (egg is fertilized but never implants)/early miscarriage.

Apparently a mix of positive and negative tests is a sign.

I hope this is not the case for you. It might be worth going to your GP for a blood test x x

coggy · 06/09/2006 20:06

I would test again with the first test.
They can all measure different amounts of hormone so it may be just that the second test isn't so sensitive.

Hope you get the result you want.
X

nikie1 · 06/09/2006 20:04

the positive one was a tesco own and the negitive one was a first responce x

nikie1 · 06/09/2006 19:35

OP posts:
nikie1 · 06/09/2006 19:32

it was a light pink line in the result window it did say that one can be lighter than the otherit was positive after about 3 mins

OP posts:
nikie1 · 06/09/2006 19:30

they were different tests xx

OP posts:
coggy · 06/09/2006 19:27

Was it a definite positive straight away rather than an evaporation line after ten minutes of so?

nikie1 · 06/09/2006 19:25

well my last period was aug 3rd so i wouldent say i was far gone im worried now i think i'm gonna lose it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OP posts:
trace2 · 06/09/2006 19:24

it could be a chemical pg, sorry means early m/c

coggy · 06/09/2006 19:18

Were they the same type of tests?
What CD did you first test on?

And....did you look at the positive test straight away?
