TTC when DH works away

So DH and I are now officially TTC :-) Although, according to my phone, it was pointless, because this is not a fertile day. July and August it won't line up either. He will be here for one fertile day in September. We won't have a really good opportunity until October. It's so frustrating - I'm so excited and just want to get on with it now the decision has been made!

Anybody else in a similar situation?

checking in ----

I played around with my HRT which was to bring on AF, on CD69 we finally have spotting/light AF. woop woop! happy happy.

hopefully now this cycle is normal and i'm in with a chance. come on baby!

DH and I are having a long weekend away. not during fertile window timing but at least a chance to reconnect and have fun together without any pressure or stress.

NewLeafExpat · 02/09/2014 07:29

thank goodness swimmingbee that is great news.....!!

I am counting down my HRT pill days until my induced AF and hoping cycle will play ball next time too.

SwimmingBee · 01/09/2014 19:08

hope you had a lovely day with dh.
well af arrived yesterday! never been so pleased with her turning up! lol but this means as long as my cycle doesn't go awol again this month me and dh are on holiday during most fertile time, and prob be the best chance we have had since ttc!
fingers crossed things go to plan!

NewLeafExpat · 30/08/2014 01:41

wah any throwing up and I would be POAAAS! my phone did all those aaaaa's but the emphasis is there nonetheless haha!

enjoy weekend with DH I have tomorrow with mine yay :)

SwimmingBee · 29/08/2014 15:52

at least you know you only got 12 days left NewLeaf!

wish I had some answers, going slowly crazy!! Had lots of EWCM last week which made me think I could have been ovulating, so hoping to see af next week sometime.
However, yesterday I kept getting sharp pains lower down & pains in my boobs and today just threw up with out any warning. wasn't much and I don't feel ill, so don't know where that came from.

Just want some answers now..........................moan over

DH home tonight for the weekend :)

NewLeafExpat · 29/08/2014 04:24

I must be on CD60 or something now, no AF. mind you i am taking HRT prescribed by doctors to try give me one regular cycle in the hope that for the months to follow it will regulate again. we'll see. I've stopped my daily logins to fertility friend - no point!

About 12 days to go until HRT finishes, then a withdrawal AF, then start again hopefully knowing where in my cycle i am.

how are you ladies doing spangila and swimming?

also both DH and I are working away from home at the moment so thats hardly helpful to baby making Wink we'll get there eventually!

SwimmingBee · 21/08/2014 21:38

feel for you newleaf, in same boat still no sign of af for me either and i have lost count of days its too depressing Sad

NewLeafExpat · 21/08/2014 06:50

oh dear spangila... however i envy you. i am over CD50 at the moment and just started taking HRT (hardly ideal if TTC!) to bring on AF and reset.

bloody womens problems huh Wink

Spangila · 19/08/2014 08:10

How's everyone getting on? I'm at the end of my 2WW but woken up to clotty spotting Hmm

SingingSoftly · 16/08/2014 08:52

Hello all... yes I'm still lurking around seeing how you are getting on and crossing fingers! Feeling like a combo of PMT and jet lag right now.

Hope AF arrives soon for you both Swimming and NewLeaf.

NewLeafExpat · 15/08/2014 06:44

singing how are you feeling? send us some news don't forget about us we need your good luck :)

I have resorted to trying acupuncture treatment to try bring on AF and regulate things and have been for two sessions of stabbing by an old Chinese lady who doesn't speak English haha!

anyone else got any news or testing soon?

positivity for all woopeeee!

NewLeafExpat · 12/08/2014 08:47

I'm with you swimming I'm on cd41, going mental with no idea what's going on and definitely not pg.... very frustrating having sudden irregular periods when I had long AF's already. . .

SingingSoftly · 11/08/2014 21:48

Thanks ladies! I couldn't quite believe it as I felt totally normal until a couple of days ago, I was convinced we hadn't managed it this time, even went out and bought the thermometer etc ready for next cycle. I re-tested today and yep it's definitely a BFP.

I hope this will turn out to be a lucky thread for all of us! I have my fingers crossed for all you ladies!

has anyone else tested/due to test??

I have no idea where I am in my cycle, have resigned myself to the fact I am just going to have to sit it out until AF turns up, just hope it doesn't take too long, but at the moment I have no PMS symptoms so wont be anytime soon..............

SwimmingBee · 11/08/2014 19:22

I can see a line too!! :) yay! congrats Singing!!!

go on then - we need to know symptoms etc...............

NewLeafExpat · 11/08/2014 07:14

OMGGGG! i just logged into pc instead of app - just to see this picture.

its a bfp!! I'm sure you can do another one today to cement the thoughts and actually believe it but i reckon its a bFp!!!

woop woop woooooop! best you be spreading the love for us ladies too :-)

SingingSoftly · 10/08/2014 22:11

Ladies!! Could this possibly be, do you think??

singing that sounds super promising! unfortunately I got bfn this morning but I had already resigned myself to believing it was bfn so not too much of a let down. I hope for you its a bfp!! let us know! :)

squiffy month/cycle for me so now I just want AF to come so I can start again.

part of me wants to do all I can for the next cycle incl stopping coffee and cutting down on my intense workouts but another part of me thinks "stressing about TTC" is the problem and I'd be better off just 'forgetting about it'

I did go for Asian "reflexology" on Friday which is basically just a foot massage here I don't think they take it too seriously. anyway an hour only costs equivalent of six quid here at an upmarket place so im going to go every week for four weeks and see if it helps to regulate my cycles/destress hahaha good excuse anyway :)

SingingSoftly · 10/08/2014 00:00

Sounds very promising NewLeaf!! I haven't tested yet. AF could be due any day from today so maybe I'll try tomorrow... I've been totally exhausted the past few days, like going to bed at 7.30pm, and had an unusual skin breakout, but hey that could be just PMT.

Good thanks for the tip, I'm guessing the monitor works like an OPK? We ladies need all the help we can get!

OP posts:
NewLeafExpat · 09/08/2014 08:22

great news And lucky timing spangila I am still awaiting AF what feels like forever ... think I'm on day 39 now :( not happy! going to test tomorrow if she isn't here yet...

I keep thinking I've come on, rush to the loo but nope... period type cramps every so often And I think finally, AF will be here soon so I can cross off this cycle And start again, but nope..... tested yesterday but nope....

gggrrr!! so frustrating!

Spangila · 08/08/2014 15:25

Well I've only been monitoring BBT for a week and using my OPK for a couple of months so was surprised to ovulate on CD11 (aka yesterday) and not CD15 as my fertility app had predicted. Purely by chance, DP surprised me with a visit at the beginning of the week so I'm now on a 2WW Grin

goodasitgets · 07/08/2014 21:24

This is probably not helpful, it maybe it is but I'll type it anyway Grin
I used a persona monitor for contraception. Anyway it worked perfectly for 18 months for contraception. I forgot to test one day before dtd, tested after and there was a red light - meaning fertile, don't have sex. "Who falls pregnant first time?" I think to myself
Um... Me. Wasn't meant to be, but for anyone trying I can recommend it, obviously it's back to front if you are trying so red light is a big go and green a no. Cheap on eBay

SwimmingBee · 07/08/2014 21:20

hello everyone!
oh newleaf how frustrating! have you tested again? it can take time in some people for the hormones to build up enough to be detected

NewLeafExpat · 07/08/2014 08:54

hi calibee best of luck to you and welcome to our gang.

hows everyone doing? Anyone testing soon? did you test at all singingsoftly?

DH is away for four days. I am now 4 days late on CD36 and slowly going crazy! Hmm not impressed! I tested on Tuesday BFN so now just waiting for that stupid AF to arrive. Angry Confused Hmm
