Rules of entry: must be ttc #1 for over a year, be suitably evil and hag-like, and submit your BESHtionnaire for our approval. If you are a baby duster or a hun, this ain't the thread for you.

Welcome to the gin palais! Let's get this party started!

Any idea when to expect droid? I had my last drucks on Monday morning, 2days ago.

Blue2014 · 21/10/2014 23:02

Errrrrrrm .... I've found a new brand of gin ... That's a positive, right??
(Sorry that's all I've got)

barkingtreefrog · 21/10/2014 21:15

There's so much bad luck going round. A lovely, lovely friend of mine has just had a horrible hospital test experience that basically listed in her results everything that might stop you getting pg. She thought she just had a blocked tube but the other one's leaky, she's got fibroids, endometriosis, a small ovary, an enlarged womb... the list just went on Sad.

We need someone to drag us all into some good luck! Who's next to have anything happening that might help?! We don't even see the consultant at the fc until December (earliest appointment I could get after we've been back to the rmc in 2 weeks - glad I didn't wait until after then to call!), so nothing happening here until Jan/Feb depending on the timing of my first 2015 AF. Which will signal 3 years of trying. How utterly depressing.Hmm

Anyway, we're looking for the positives here!! .

cherrycoconut · 21/10/2014 13:36

Sounds hopeful that they've found something to treat Barking. I have clotting issues because of anticardiolipin antibodies, I took Aspirin through treatment and then Clexane injections after transfer. not that it fucking helped but I'm sure that wasn't the issue

Just got back from clinic and confirmation of BFN. Sigh. Right, time to pull myself together, look lively and get back to work.

I know nothing of laps either, sorry!

Fish to all. I'm with Blue, something somewhere has to be looking up for us soon.

VesperMartini · 21/10/2014 12:39

Afternoon hags. Cheers for the missing period suggestions - I'm going to give it another week or so then get in touch with the docs again. Don't really want to pummel myself with hormones if I don't have to, but I'm starting to get paranoid that something's stuck up there (NOT like that.)

cherry feel the rage, you're definitely allowed. Go and pummel a cushion. Or a passer by. Thinking of you.

barking FX for some answers! If it's a clotting issue they are apparently fairly fixable.

I know nothing about laps, meditation, or, erm, anything, apparently. Fish slaps for them as wants 'em.

EricaJ · 21/10/2014 09:50

Thanks Blue! Well, it's a minor surgery and you do have to be put under and it's meant to be to check if you have endo/remove it. Not to be used as a 'I got pregnant after a lap last time' good luck charm, apparently. Bummer. :)

Removing endo is meant to improve your chances of conceiving for around 9 months after surgery but obviously the earlier you get preggers the better (NO SHIT SHERLOCK!!! )

We will be ok!! :) Fishies to everyone!

Blue2014 · 21/10/2014 09:16

Erica - I know nothing about laps etc so I'm just passing by to give fish slaps. Thanks

We are gonna be ok Hags, things have got to pick up soon!

EricaJ · 21/10/2014 06:57

I was having 3 am worries this morning and wondering 'would my gyno let me have another lap if I ask for it very nicely..??'

Fish slaps needed, please.

EricaJ · 21/10/2014 06:55

Hi Barking

Maybe I am biased because I felt so weird about my 'all is normall' diagnostic but for what I have heard (from my gyno, from my sister's friend, that kept miscarrying until she was put on aspirin etc), blood clotting issues are fairly treatable, it could be the case that they have found the cause of your mcs and now they can put you on aspirin/heparin injections to sort it out?

You must be literally dying of impatience to find out more but I think you can be quietly optimistic that things are moving forward?

Good luck!

I am having a mental meltdown after realising that it's been 6 months since my laparoscopy, 4.5 months since my mc and 3.5 months since my second D&C - could the endo be back by now? I am heartbroken thinking I had that one chance at super fertility period after the lap, and it was 'wasted' on the mc and now I am back to square one.

barkingtreefrog · 20/10/2014 20:44

vesp my AF went AWOL after my first mc and the consultant gave me provera to bring on a bleed after I'd waited in vain for 9 weeks.

cherry sending strength and dolphins. Just because.

I got a letter from the clinic today. Apparently my blood tests results for clotting were 'outside normal ranges' and I have to go back for another test in 3 months. Could this be the cause of both MCs? DCW reckons this explains everything and means that we take aspirin next time (if we get duffed with the iui again) and all will be good.

Repeat mc clinic appointment is in just over two weeks so I've got to wait until then to ask, and to find out whether anything else was 'outside normal ranges'. Hmm

cherrycoconut · 20/10/2014 18:25

Cheers hags
Feeling a bit more human angry and ballsy this evening, which is at least useful and beats apathy and tears.

Erica I have the circle and bloom IVF series too. Apart from her pronunciation of youuuderus I thought they were quite good. Good luck for your tww.

Progesterone drop off would bring on a bleed Vesp but more nasty hormones might not be what your bod needs right now?

Cherry I am so sorry. Life sucks so hard sometimes. Can you not call in sick? If you don't have the best reason for a day spent wailing in bed, I don't know what would it be.

I am in the TWW and and it would have been my mum's birthday next week (always a big family occasion) so I am crying on a daily basis. I am doing the Circle + Bloom meditations and it's really helping me 'unbottle my feelings' but wasn't quite expecting the bouts of hysterical crying. Ah well.

Vesper WTF. Can they not give you some progesterone so you get your period when you stop taking it? Someone told me they did that to create the 'progesterone drop' that makes your period start.

GAARRHGGHHGH! Cherry Sending you lots of hugs.

VesperMartini · 20/10/2014 09:09

Oh cherry, fuck fuckity fuck. So sorry. Tell work where they can shove it.

In fact, the whole universe can shove it unless it gets its arse in gear pretty fucking sharpish. WHERE IS MY PERIOD. WHERE. (yes, having now gone past seven weeks since the bleeding stopped, this is No Longer Amusing.)

Blue2014 · 20/10/2014 08:23

Oh cherry :-( fucking shitty bollocks

Damn it all, I'm so sorry. Fucking arse.

(Barking I typed out a response to you last night too but my bloody phone lost it)

Hags, much love x

barkingtreefrog · 20/10/2014 07:13

Thinking of you cherry. Rise above the work shit, just take things a bit at a time.

The universe appears to acting like a major twat right now, that's 5 bfns following Ivf this month (lots of ivf berries and all unsuccessful) Sad.Angry.

Will you get to speak to anyone tomorrow or is it just a blood test with a nurse?

cherrycoconut · 20/10/2014 06:14

Back off (very lovely holidays) to add to the collective BESH misery. BFN for us. Gutted.

Somehow I must drag my very sorry ass to work this morning and face more shit there too. Cunty fucking bollocks. Really not feeling the love.

barkingtreefrog · 19/10/2014 19:46

Grr. Spent last night with a new mother who was chain smoking, and tonight with pregnant friend who was drinking a glass of wine. I spent over two years tee total to be as healthy as possible for ttc and I only properly fell off the wagon after the second mc. Once we gear up to the next IUI I'll be staying sober again, but she's duffed and drinking. Angry Envy (Only one glass not really a small one in my eyes - apparently she's been told she can have a glass a week - but she admitted to having a glass last night as well Angry)

Not fair Angry Envy.

Anyway, spent most of the weekend cleaning the bricks in the fireplace with brick acid, scourers and a pressure washer. It's now 'good enough' as far as I'm concerned not bloody well doing it again

Blue2014 · 19/10/2014 10:37

She's on hols isn't she?

barkingtreefrog · 19/10/2014 08:04

Cherry ?????

CatsCantFlyFast · 17/10/2014 20:55

Cherry just came by for a lurk and saw your latest. Will cross the legs and arms n stuff for you

Fankletastic · 17/10/2014 09:19

Oh Barking that is rough. I know that feeling. 6 months after my miscarriage I visited a friend in her new house. She'd just announced to me the day before that she was pregnant even though everyone else had already known for weeks. I saw her pregnacare vitamins on the mantlepiece. Seeing those made everything seem so much more painful for me. I cried all the way home.

Blue I think it is totally normal to be worried more for your own emotional health above anything else and to not want any of your friends to accidentally get diffed 5 minutes into a relationship. That is just pure common sense all round!

Ladies, I know you can all deal with this shit but sometimes you need to just lie low for a while to allow yourself to wallow for a bit and be extra gentle with yourself. It's is a lot of pain to process so wallow time is good for you too - this. As is gin and as many non-diffed activities as possible (I'm not missing any of those things Hmm

Blue2014 · 16/10/2014 20:59

Oh Barking, stupid flamin scan picture. It's understandable that it's hard though, and I know you say "it's been 2 days" but it's ONLY been 2 days. That stuff is hard to deal with. I'm sorry you're having a tough time - this stuff just isn't fair.

If it helps I've just text my friend to tell her to take condoms as she's off to meet her new fella and has ovulation pain. I think it's probably pretty messed up that I'm more worried about the emotional consequences for me from a possible unwanted pregnancy for my friend than I am for her!
Fish slaps

barkingtreefrog · 16/10/2014 17:57

They weren't deliberate purchases due to bump potential, just clothes which due to their style would accommodate a bump. I went through a positive phase of thinking 'this'll still fit me' and imagining the bump that would fill it. Not going through such a positive phase right now.
My mate is now 20 weeks. I stumbled across her scan photos when I went round to pick up her dog to walk it (they were on the table right in front of me, she'd had the scan that afternoon). That was two days ago and it's still affecting me. Haven't struggled this much in quite a while.

EricaJ · 16/10/2014 10:55

I haven't bought just-in-case stuff but I do have a couple of 'frocks' that someone gave me and they don't suit me at all but I haven't given them away, thinking they would be handy if I got a bump.

Thanks Blue :)
