Everyone knows about me I think, will look at green ntes in a min and let you know what they need to know about family history Wink

LuluJakey1 · 23/06/2014 19:52

DH going on a course tomorrow. Train from Newcastle at 7 am. We'll have to leave here at 6.15 am to get him to the station on time.

We are going to bed in a minute. Both want to read and relax before we go to sleep. Living life on the edge here in Northumberland!

LuluJakey1 · 23/06/2014 19:49

I take Movicol but only if I really need it. Otherwise drink lors of water and eat lots of fruit.

lillamyy1 · 23/06/2014 19:34

I have constipation all the time due to my ad's. I use something called fibergel which is a powder that you dilute and drink. It works really well and I think I read that it's safe to use in pregnancy. It's just in the 'bowel problem' section in the pharmacy and is quite cheap! If you have it in the evening it make you go in the morning.

Got 2 superdrug tests, will try to wait until wednesday probably test first thing tomorrow!

poppet85 · 23/06/2014 19:11

Does anyone know what questions about family history are asked at the booking appointment ? I am just wondering if I need to have a conversation with my mum before then , she doesnt know yet .

LuluJakey1 · 23/06/2014 19:09

We have only told PIL, SIL and DH's grandmas. They live 130 miles away so it is still a secret up here. I don't have any family.

12 week scan on Wednesday. We have forgotten about telling people - just been hugging it to ourselves as our secret but I will have to tell work soon. Maybe hang on a couple of weeks yet.

poppet85 · 23/06/2014 19:09

So far we I've told 3 people . My oldest friend who lives in a different part of the country , my boss just because I need time off for appointments etc and my sister because she asked !! I think some of my friends might have figured it out but havent said anything to us .

Lol lulu! I'm at the point where I would love to be able to expell the air! You have to have a full bladder for the scan! So that will be a challenge not to wet myself then! Booked for Saturday the 5th. I'm nervous!
Can I ask how many of you have told people yet and who and when? I'm nosey!

LuluJakey1 · 23/06/2014 18:49

I am not thinking about it. The thought is awful. And I am a total wimp.

Cupcake92 · 23/06/2014 18:30

My labour was horribly slow. So I had all my stuff but water broke on one lot then I wet my other lot haha I then got a gown when I went for my csection :p

I feel awful this evening!
Have a banging headache for the past 2 hours and just want to sleep! :( need to go get DH from work but the thought of driving with this headache is making me feel sick :(

Ducky23 · 23/06/2014 18:21

And I have a very VERY high pain threshold and a quick labor so refused to beleive I was in labor until my waters broke, dd was born 15 mins after. If I had known I was in labor I would have worn something much more appropriate! Preparation is the key Grin

Ducky23 · 23/06/2014 18:19

Hahahah good luck lulu!

They didn't give me anything at the hospital, I was meant to go in to be induced but went into labour the night before so didn't have my bag ready. I had pajama trousers on but then my waters broke all over them so I had to take them off and I got too hot in my top and had horrible sweat patches so I just whipped it off, I really couldn't care by that point.

Then I spent the next 4ish hours without any clothes until DH went home to fetch some for me Confused

LuluJakey1 · 23/06/2014 18:07

Ducky - why would I be wearing a bra? I thought you got a hospital gown? I was hoping for something in a fetching lavandery blue.

LuluJakey1 · 23/06/2014 18:05

Well thanks you two- that sounds awful! I am channeling a quick, pain free labour where I breathe my way serenely through it with a glow to my cheeks and DH is in awe of my bravery and composure.

not very likely as I have a very low pain threshold

Ducky23 · 23/06/2014 17:55

Hahaha I love a good birth story! I was just there screaming 'I need a poooooo!!!! I'm going to pooo myselfff!!!' Grin

Cupcake92 · 23/06/2014 17:48

Oh lulu that was funny!!!! :p haha!!
They joys of pregnancy aye!!

Hahaaa Ducky ur so right! I had so much gas and air my body relaxed too much and I ended up wetting myself the bed and the floor!!!! Haha! I just did not care as I hurt too much and was out of it! :p

Ducky23 · 23/06/2014 17:42

Hahahaha lulu! I laughed so much I think a bit of wee came out!!!!! GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin That's made my day!

And I think all the dignity will be gone by the time your baby is here and your lying on a bed in nothing but a bra covered in blood with three women staring straight up yer foof! Hahahaha GrinGrinGrin

LuluJakey1 · 23/06/2014 17:15

kitkat Thank goodness I am in the house alone. Just got in from work, bit of a pain, rushed upstairs to loo for a wee- can wee for England too- and the trapped wind that escaped was so noisy I am sure next door would have been able to hear in their garden. Blush I just heaved a sigh of relief and giggled not very ladylike and TMI
Don't think I will tell DH, I would like to preserve some sense of dignity if possible, although I am getting to the point where there is nothing left really.

iamdivergent · 23/06/2014 16:04

poppet85 · 23/06/2014 14:02

Ooooh exciting iam test !!! How have you not tested !!
kitkat doesnt sound like the dr was paticulary sympathtic ! I know its so difficult not to worry though have you got an early pregnancy unit near you ? It really helped reassure me . It really does sound like symptonsthough. I havent had much back ache but last week felt very sick in the morning , today I was ok though . Seem to get a different sympton every week, its scary because its all so unknown to us

Ducky23 · 23/06/2014 13:30

Kitkat my back has been killing me! I'm sure te pain is usual pregnancy stuff, it could be everything stretching/moving too.

Iam I have that too, that for me is Deffo a pregnancy thing Blush

iamdivergent · 23/06/2014 13:19
