The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Another person to add to the JTFO list - a friend of mine on FB who herself has had a couple of mc's yet broadcast every single detail of her pregnancy. Yes I can understand her sheer delight and happiness at carrying her healthy baby but on the flip side I think should have a little more tact having gone through all herself and having no idea of other people who maybe suffering. Rant over. I'm being a bitch. I'm not sorry

broodylicious · 25/06/2014 19:50

Oh and just - fab blog chick. I've started writing mine too!

broodylicious · 25/06/2014 19:48

Lovely to hear from you holly and congrats on your BFP!

Really pleased to see everything is ok for you too virgo

Re ppl who can JTFO....

  1. Those who say "ah well you've got Poppy (our dd) so I'm sure she will take your mind off it" Mind off it?!?! It as in my baby who died?! Yes I'm very blessed to have Poppy, she's totally adorable, but I'd have quite liked to have told her she was getting a sibling!!

  2. "there was obviously something very wrong with the baby". Maybe. Maybe it wasn't strong enough. True. But tell me how that softens the blow of losing something you already love so much?

  3. AF! (Although tbh, she has now left this building)

EnglishGirlsReturned · 25/06/2014 18:14

Thanks just! Will do a hpt in a week and then go from there. Hopefully my levels will come down quickly Smile

LittleMissSunshine33 · 25/06/2014 18:03

Congrats Holly and Virgo!!

Hope all are well! Grin

Littlelady33 · 25/06/2014 17:42

Virgo, Holly I'm thrilled for you such wonderful news! X

Marmaladecat1 · 25/06/2014 16:24

Congratulations holly and virgo wishing you the very best of luck.
I stupidly POAS, they arrived today I just had to!
It was a stupid thing to do :(
So now I've done it, I'm not testing until I have an inkling...or AF due!

Hope26 · 25/06/2014 14:33

congratulations holly and Virgo - such amazing news!!!

Justonemoretime · 25/06/2014 14:31

Yay! Virgo!
Yay! Holly!
Well done, English. I did count ERPC as CD1, and waited 2 weeks before dtd again. I was waiting for referral for testing, though, so no ttc.
I'd say, the main issue with ttc is infection, so I'd hold off if you are even still spotting. However, as long as you've got a -ive hpt and all bleeding has stopped, go for it! :)

Oh my goodness Virgo that's amazing!!!! So pleased for you - lots of wonderful news today

English glad it all went ok - well as well as these things can go.

Positivity on this thread today - that's what we like

EnglishGirlsReturned · 25/06/2014 14:23

I think I'll avoid charting this cycle. I'll start OPKs in a week or so and see what happens. Want to at least give this cycle a go! Desperate to be at least trying

Lou07708 · 25/06/2014 14:19

english glad it went and ur ok. I didn't count as CD 1 etc. I went to see GP who said to start having sex again (this was 2.5 weeks post erpc), AF came 5 weeks post erpc and not convinced I ovulated but I'll never know.

Holly - I am so happy to read your post! As a longtimer I feel genuine joy when I see other long timers get their BFP!! Fingers crossed it's super sticky! Congrats my lovely.GrinGrin

Lovely news for you too Virgo! Congrats! Must have been such a relief!

I've just got back from my erpc. Was a complete doddle. Staff were all completely lovely. I feel like I've crossed a line now. That part is over.
I was told not to have sex for 2-4 weeks but don't want to miss ov if it happens. Did any of you wait that long? Also should I count today as cd1??

Lou07708 · 25/06/2014 13:59

And ur living proof there is hope and future for us all!!!

Lou07708 · 25/06/2014 13:57

VIRGO so happy to hear some good news!!!! Enjoy this blissful moment - you have made my afternoon !

Virgo9 · 25/06/2014 13:48

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I havent posted for a few days.

Monten thank you so much for thinking about me, and asking after me.

For those of you who are new I got a BFP last week (3 cycles after MMC) but started bleeding a couple of days later. After 3 docs appoints, they finally referred me to the EPU for a scan, which I had this morning. I was absolutely terrified but was I floods of tears when there was a 6wk baby with a healthy heart beat. I think im still in shock as had prepared myslef for the worst. By my dates I should be 8wks but I know i didnt ov until a lot later in the month.
They were lovely at the EPU and said next time I can ring them directly instead of going through the GP which is reassuring.

I know I still have a very very long way to go and will probably have many mad moments until the next scan, but for now, for today I am going to enjoy this moment that I have been waiting for, for what feels like an eternity.

The day after I got out of hospital NCT called me : (
boozle I am right there with you with our babies in a years time!!!!

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 25/06/2014 13:27

Thanks brummie and seb I've learnt something new today! So how often do you take the cough syrup?

Congratulations holly that's lovely news!

Just had an email from my local nct enquiring if I was still interested in joining the classes. That would be a no then ...

Brummiegirl15 · 25/06/2014 13:05

Fantastic news Holly I really hope your little bean sticks this time. Great to hear such positive news.

metal nothing is too much TMI in this thread. Who else are you going to tell??!!

Boozle I do quite like it as I suffer with dryness and I worry I'll be too dry and then that stresses me out. So I need it. But I feel so much better knowing that it's helping those little swimmers swim better!

Boozle80 · 25/06/2014 12:59

Whoop, whoop Holly and Metal awesome news Holly and a step forward at last Metal! I've decided July is going to be everyone's lucky month and we're all going to meet up with our beautiful babies next year! I'm having a living in my fantasy world today - it's rather a nice place to be!

Metalhead · 25/06/2014 12:55

Hurrah Holly, so glad to hear from you again and with such fantastic news! Gives hope to others amongst us who have been trying for a while. I hope you have a healthy uneventful pregnancy this time round.

(And I know exactly what you mean about being pleased for people, yet at the same time being jealous... sometimes I have to take a step back from the boards too, though I can never stay away for long.)

My highlight of the day (TMI warning!) has been that I've had some clots with my AF. I was getting really worried that the bleeding was quite light again and there seemed to be only blood, no tissue, meaning that my lining had all been scraped away by during the erpc, but hopefully that's not the case.

HollyBen · 25/06/2014 12:02

Hi all. I am a former regular(ish) poster and, more recently, lurker. I started to get really disillusioned with ladies joining then seemingly get bfps - I was really pleased for each one, but increasingly dispairing over why it wasn't me Envy

It is over 40 weeks since erpc #2 in September and it is less than 2 weeks until my 40th birthday. I have been ttc#2 since May 2013. DH and I have had lots of tests and are waiting on a fertility clinic appointment. Today I poas and got a bfp! I am terrified. There is a long, long way to go but this is the first step.

The reason for my mammoth post is to say do not give up hope. mc is shit. The well meaning comments , baby bombs and bumps are heartbreaking. I wish each and every one of you a happy ending x

Boozle80 · 25/06/2014 11:16

I quite like Benelyn - May well invest in that! Does it really help and does the lube stuff really help! I'll do anything! Thinking about investing in the Karma Sutra! At least it'll make dtd more interesting every night! Happy Wednesday everyone - I'm going to write a story about fantastic mr fox now!
