The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

It's true - it was just so nice for one night not to focus on dtd or ovulation or the miscarriages and DP was the most open and honest with me than since before we lost the baby. It was just lovely to be us and not us trying for a baby and grieving the one we lost. Definitely needed! It'll also be something to look forward to after the disappointment of getting AF each month.

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 28/06/2014 12:24

boozle that sounds like so much fun. I know I am definitely guilty of taking DH for granted, especially since ttc and becoming slightly obsessed with the idea of a baby. I think that so lovely that you've spent that time together and made you remember why you're together and all the things you love about eachither. After all, when the babies are all grown up, it'll just be us and them, alone again.

Boozle80 · 28/06/2014 11:49

Oneday good quote - very true! Xx

Boozle80 · 28/06/2014 11:21

Morning everyone, how's everyone doing? I took DP away last night for a non-dirty night away. We went to Manchester, drank until we giggled, salsa danced really badly and ate rubber chicken out of a box and remembered why we're together. As AF is around it was a completely non-baby making stress free evening off - haven't drunk for over a year so it didn't take much! Think we're going to do it every time AF appears just as a step out of our life for one night in a place which has no link to what has happened and is happening. Can recommend it - I feel like a new lady!

Morning all,

Hope everyone is doing okay today? The cleaning sounds like a great idea, my house is like a crack den at the moment with the weeks of ms and now this last week. Still can't bring myself to clean though which is weird as I'm normally slightly OCD!

Can sympathise with the wine too!

Now I usually am not a fan of these things, but somebody shared one of these quote things on Facebook and it east he first thing I saw on my newsfeed this morning. It just really struck a chord with me re the mc:

''Sometimes you have to be strong when you feel like giving up, have to fight whe you just want tot run away. Sometimes it's all you can do just to keep going. But sometimes you just have to let the bridge break. Let the tears flow and start over. Remember, no matter how bad things are at any one moment, no moments last forever. Good or bad, time moves on, because it has to and so will you."

Re ttc, DH did make me laugh. We were chatting the other day about ttc again and he was like 'it was just so nice last time because we didn't actively try, we just relaxed about things a bit more' Pah! I was charting, doing the cb ovulation tests and pouncing on him everyday for a week once a month. I'm glad he didn't realise though!

Lou07708 · 28/06/2014 08:08

Morning all, this cleaning thing must be catching! Up at 7am and after an obsessive googling sesh re ovulation and cbfm (which apparently you can ovulate and not get peak which makes me think every other day is the way to go alongside monitoring) I am raring to go with the marigolds and Hoover!!
I went out with a friend on Thursday whose best friend is a GP (who sadly her first was still born at 38 weeks but who now has a healthy one - hope for us all) who recommended every 2-3 days and no more. I am putting my trust in the old school process and NOT obsessing about my monitor today.......honestly!!!

MrsGingerbread · 28/06/2014 07:47

I've been up since 6 rearranging and sorting out my kitchen cabinets. Cleaning and organising must be therapeutic reading back to some of the comments yesterday!! :)

Hope everyone is okay today. Anyone got any fun plans for the weekend?

Marmaladecat1 · 28/06/2014 07:09

Totally understand what you mean re escapism lou.

Marmaladecat1 · 28/06/2014 07:08

Morning all.
How you doing treacle?
Had a really disturbed night and have a long old day ahead of me- very tired! Caffeine free normally but I'm decaf free for 4 weeks today. Today is the first day I miss coffee!

Had a few twinges last night and sore boobs- probably should have dtd but DH was shattered... I am being highly unreasonable to be rather annoyed about this!
I need to get a grip.

Treaclepie19 · 27/06/2014 21:27

Haha thanks marmalade.
I chart my temp and my opk seems reliable alongside.

Am enjoying my wine but struggling tonight. Annoyed when I feel like this. Woe is me. Bleugh.

Lou07708 · 27/06/2014 21:27

Wine was my best friend last week. DH raised eyebrow every glass that filled and got swigged. Just a bit of escapism when we need it!

Marmaladecat1 · 27/06/2014 21:26

I agree with lou treacle I would do the same if I knew when or if I was going to ovulate. I'm sure the predictor is lying to me! but we have no wine!
So please have a glass for me and enjoy

Treaclepie19 · 27/06/2014 20:47

Thanks lou, that's the way I see it.

DH is currently lost for words at my "well nobody has shown any interest or care so I have to deal with it" speech.
Fed up of just putting up with it though. Grr. Sorry for moaning yet again :(

Lou07708 · 27/06/2014 20:45

Treacle I have this argument with myself all if the time. I wouldn't feel guilty. Considering what we have been through, the stress, heartache, etc I believe to be kind to yourself and live normal is the best way.

Treaclepie19 · 27/06/2014 20:37

Oh office :( I told most people at work about my mc to save awkward questions and it didn't help. Still ending up in the same situations.

Ok, i feel guilty. Had half a bottle of wine and planning more. Even though I'm ovulating today/tomorrow. Should I feel guilty? Last time did nothing wrong and miscarried. Ugh.

Lou07708 · 27/06/2014 20:32

What's wrong with me? I didn't clean for two weeks when I came out of hospital!!!

officelady · 27/06/2014 20:26

Haha Marmalade - I took down all my curtains and washed them when I found out about my mmc. Unfortunately my cleaning fetish didn't last - but I did have a sparkling house for a week or two!

Marmaladecat1 · 27/06/2014 18:34

Oh mrsg I'm so sorry. Numbers are dropping so definitely moving forward.

Office similar happened to be recently. I'm so sorry I know that knotted stomach feeling when it happened to me.
I should have had a cry though- stupidly have kept it all bottled up.

I have tidied my house within an inch of it's life!
Even the inside of my fridge clean...and the outside of my kitchen windows!
Bad day here

officelady · 27/06/2014 17:35

Tanny well done - it's the first step in the right direction xxx

Had a massive baby bomb dropped on me at work today, one of my colleagues brought her daughter in with her 2 week old baby granddaughter and just handed the baby to me without so much as a "would you mind holding this". An absolutely beautiful, perfect tiny baby girl. I had a jolly good cry in the toilets afterwards. Some days I think I should just tell people that I had a miscarriage and then maybe I wouldn't end up in situations like that. On the other hand, it was amazing to hold a new baby even though it made my heart break a little bit. And I guess it was a bit like ripping off a plaster - I've crossed that particular bridge for the first time since my mc so hopefully next time it won't be so hard.

MrsGingerbread · 27/06/2014 16:44

And the score is... 29. Down from 47 a week ago. So that's a step in the right direction.

Sadly though the doctor thinks I have lost two babies (both very early) - one in May and another from a new pregnancy in June. So let's see how quickly I can get this level down so I can try again.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 27/06/2014 14:06

Oh Tanny, I'm keeping everything crossed for you xxx

HollyBen · 27/06/2014 14:02

Keeping everything thing crossed for you tanny

Marmaladecat1 · 27/06/2014 14:00

fingers crossed Tanny don't know what happened there!

Marmaladecat1 · 27/06/2014 14:00

My cycle ranges max of about 47 days had 2 cycles of 43.

Bleugh, just very fed up, I'm on day 27 I normally ovulate about now but CM is not EWCM and that's the giveaway for me!

Fingers crossed T!
