The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Congrats g&t. Please tell us your story of how you ttc and how long it took you.

I got my AF on cd35 after D&C due to baby having no heart beat. I did not check if I was ovulating before that it did not dtd. I will try this week. The wait is very long. I hope to read many more positive stories in the coming months

LittleMissSunshine33 · 08/06/2014 21:16

Ahhh I kept looking at the old thread thinking that's strange people aren't posting! Just marking my place! Smile

i'm not ovulating Sad

Littlelady33 · 08/06/2014 21:12

Gandt thrilled for you! Here's to a very dull eight months. Any chance of an early scan? Couple of epus in London do so I'm sure it's quite common?

mrsdiddlydoo · 08/06/2014 20:57

Evening. Just delurking to mark my place. Big congratulations to the recent BFPs! Keeps me going and gives me hope. Welcome to the recent new folk. I'm sorry you've found yourselves here. Hopefully you won't be here long.

My world is all upside down and topsy turvy right now. You ladies are the only people I can think of right now that would understand. Thought I'd be ov'ing this weekend 6 weeks since mc and busy SWI but despite AF the other week, I've had several scarily heavy bleeding incidents since last Thursday. Has totally messed with my head. I know things can be all over the place post MC but I feel like its just happened all over again. Dam you body. Bloody useless thing.

GailLondon · 08/06/2014 20:52

Aw, just checked back to see how everyone is doing, and looks like there's been a whole batch of lovely BFP's! Congratulations!
I'm still lurking as not quite allowing myself to believe that I'm pregnant yet. Only 6+2 here so early days still. Booked in for an early scan at 8 weeks then might relax a bit!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 08/06/2014 20:24

Congratulations GandT

The 2ww is getting to me, I felt nauseous after smelling dp's aftershave and burst into tears, it was one of the first signs last time.

AF isnt due until the 16th so its way to early for any signs and im trying to stay calm but i want a baby so badly, possibly more than I did before the miscarriage and that baby was desperately wanted so I fear ive become slightly crazy Sad

Treaclepie19 · 08/06/2014 19:51

There was a yolk sac but they struggled to see, they always seem to find it hard to see on my ultrasounds (with anything I mean).

Congrats GandT :)

Justonemoretime · 08/06/2014 19:10

GandT, congratulations! I know its scary, maybe you can get an early scan at 9 weeks? Best of luck with it, and fx it will be boring and uneventful. X

I am loving all these BFPs. Gives me hope Grin

Congratulations xxxxxx

broodylicious · 08/06/2014 19:00

Totally understand g&t. I will be the same. We've all been in the wonderful, elated, blissful state of naivety then had our dreams shattered - some more than once - so I'm sure we will all be approaching our next BFPs with far more caution. Congratulations though hun!! Thanks

GandTnow · 08/06/2014 18:40

Well I know its not Friday and I'm only 10dpo, but tested this morning and got a very faint line.Grin I'm now totally in a spin and seem to be focusing on all the stuff that could go wrong. Haven't told DH yet as it seems like he can have another week of blissful ignorance before he has to start worrying about me.

Reading this back it sounds so wrong that I'm not on cloud 9 and running to tell DH, but I just keep re living that moment when they couldn't find the baby at the 12 week scan and then said that it had stopped growing at 8 weeks and there was no heartbeat. The idea of that happening again fills me with dread.

Justonemoretime · 08/06/2014 18:09

Was it just the empty sac? Sorry if tmi.

OP posts:
Treaclepie19 · 08/06/2014 17:57

I was 8+3 but sac measured 6 weeks when I shouldve been 8. Pretty sure it was a blighted ovum.

broodylicious · 08/06/2014 17:43

How far gone were you treacle? From what I understand, the further gone you were, the longer it could take for your hormones to go back to normal and therefore get a bfp. Hang in there x

Treaclepie19 · 08/06/2014 17:14

Thank you :) I just checked, it's been almost two weeks.

Justonemoretime · 08/06/2014 17:00

Treacle, hopefully you should get a negative 2 weeks after the bleeding (including all spotting) has stopped. That's always been my experience, anyway. Good luck. :)

Treaclepie19 · 08/06/2014 16:53

Thanks ladies, just it hasn't been long since I stopped bleeding. Cd 23 but only about a week since I stopped bleeding. Just thought I'd see if it was negative, they said by now it would be. Bleugh.

Mrsgingerbread, i know what you mean and I so hope you get your bfp. We still haven't dtd. I'm too nervous.
Just wondering when I will get af. I reckon end of june/start of July.

Justonemoretime · 08/06/2014 16:32

Welcome to the club no one wants to join, Brief. It sounds like you've been through a terrible time. Have you had any testing done yet? You should be entitled by now. Ask your gp, and if they are difficult about it, find another one. Good luck and take care of yourself.

broodylicious · 08/06/2014 16:24

brummie I've not long stopped bleeding but I've just done an ovulation test and it came back positive. Now I'm wondering whether to DTD tonight and tomorrow or to leave it like the docs advise. As we've not DTD since January, I know it's going to be quite tense. I've just posted a question on the conception board asking if anyone has had a successful pregnancy if they got upduffed before their first AF - let's hope we can both be proof that it does happen :)

officelady · 08/06/2014 16:22

Hello gang and welcome brief - it sounds like you've had a horrible time of it. I hope that your stay here is as brief as your name x
gingerbread, brummie and treacle - the waiting to start to ttc again goes on forever, doesn't it? I totally sympathise! I'm now on cycle 4 after a mmc and it feels like the whole of this year so far has been wasted on an unsuccessful pregnancy and a succession of annovulatory cycles. However I did have a normal(ish) cycle last month so onwards & upwards!
I'm currently basking in the sun with a very large glass of wine - one of the few upsides of not being pregnant!

Brummiegirl15 · 08/06/2014 16:12

Marking my place. Thanks for new thread.

Nothing to report here apart from DTD with DP nd trying to be relaxed. I am determined that I won't POAS until AF doesn't turn up. And we'll if it does then docs did advise to wait 1 cycle. Have no idea if I even ovulated this month.

Hang on in there ladies

Abriefelaborationofatube · 08/06/2014 15:22

Hello.

I'm a complete newbie here, so please forgive any faux pas. Feeling very alone after a feint positive that's not getting any darker, now at 16 dpo. 2 ectopic c sections pregnancies and one tubal, and 4 early miscarriages under 7 weeks. Anyone similar... terrified that I've stuck my head above the parapet again.

Any encouragement happily welcomed.

MrsGingerbread · 08/06/2014 14:23

Treacle I'm the same, a nice pink line here too. :(

I'm kind of wishing I hadn't taken the gp's advice and dtd again this week. In a fortnight I'll be devastated to find out it isn't a 'new' BFP. :(

Justonemoretime · 08/06/2014 12:58

Sorry to hear that, Treacle, its horrible while you're waiting for the tests to go 'normal' again. How long has it been, now? Maybe go back to your GP or EPU if its been more than 4 weeks? Are you still bleeding? It will sort itself out, I promise. Cake
