The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Oh virgo I'm sorry that must be terrifying. But spotting really doesn't mean it's definitely all over, not at all. Still very worrying. Is it too early for a scan at the EPU?

officelady · 20/06/2014 07:05

oh no virgo Sad I really, really hope it is just the bean settling in and getting comfy.

I'm back to trying to be very zen about ttc. Trying to tell myself if it happens, it happens, and if it doesn't, well I will just book a fuck off massive holiday somewhere exotic next year. So either way I will have something to look forward to.

mrsgingerbread have you had a scan to confirm there is nothing left lurking in your uterus? It does seem a very long time to still have HCG after an early mc. When I mc at 5-6 weeks I was back to negative tests within a week which seems fairly "normal" going by the many millions of websites I have read on the subject. Maybe push for further investigations next week when you go back?

Finally, good luck to anyone brave enough to POAS today, and THANK FUCK it's Friday!!!

Justonemoretime · 20/06/2014 07:05

Virgo, so sorry. Could it be implantation spotting? Fx it is and you're ok. Xx

Oh Virgo, that is so so unfair. Huge hugs to you

Virgo9 · 20/06/2014 06:38

Unfortunatly my happiness was short lived, I woke up to light spotting this morning. I this is so fucking unfair.

impatienceisavirtue · 19/06/2014 22:04

Congrats Virgo!!!

Sorry to hear about all the insensitivity some of you ladies are being subjected to :(

Zebra you've got nothing to feel bad about at all xx

And yep in POAS too. Not even going to pretend I'm not. I showed positive on tests from 9dpo with the two recent mcs. Still insane. I may have six frers on my counter just waiting to be opened. I definitely have a problem!!

Metalhead · 19/06/2014 21:43

Congrats Virgo, I hope you have a sticky one this time.

Anyone going to poas tomorrow? I was going to, but don't think I'll bother now as I know it would be too early anyway. AF not due until Mon/Tue. No signs of being upduffed either. [sigh]

Boozle80 · 19/06/2014 21:37

Virgo, that's amazing news! Congratulations!

I ordered a load of pregnancy tests from amazon today, fingers crossed one will turn up with a bfp - although I've never had less pregnancy symptoms so I think I'm being mildly delusional! Xx

Daisybell1 · 19/06/2014 20:00

Wow, this moves so fast!

Virgo - congratulations! !!!

Mrs Gingerbread, I hope you get some answers soon

Zebra - please don't apologise, it's not ungrateful at all. I feel similar and get angry when people say "at least you've got dd". Well yes, maybe, but that doesn't ease the pain for the babies I've lost. My mumsnet group have decamped to book face and most of them have dc2 by now, it is shit, yes.

Sorry if I've missed anyone out!

Lou - i know how you feel, we've been buying a new car and everyone wants to know when we're having more kids because of the car seats, upsetting at times.

Smiling - I'd tell them to fuck off too!

MrsGingerbread · 19/06/2014 18:14

waves Reappearing after a little break.

Lots of spikey trays conform that my hcg is stuck at around 45 a good month after my mc (two day betas showed no movement, going back to check again in a week).

My miscarriage was very early, so confused why I am holding on to it so much.

Anyone got any ideas? Either for the cause or something I can do to keep sane until I can ttc again?

Virgo9 · 19/06/2014 17:53

Thanks ladies, I hope you all get your BFP's soon.

Hope26 · 19/06/2014 17:11

Comgratulations Virgo! I hope you have a happy pregnancy!

Brummiegirl15 · 19/06/2014 16:45

Congrats Virgo that's amazing news!!!!!

Zebra, I don't have a dc yet but I would never think that it matters you have a son. Losing a baby is devastating whatever your circumstances xx

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 19/06/2014 15:57

zebra just because you have a son doesnt mean you cant be upset about losing your baby x

Lou07708 · 19/06/2014 15:56

Zebra - it doesn't sound ungrateful. It was only three weeks ago. If I think back three weeks I was a mess. Just take each day by day. I was 4 months gone when I had to tfmr and almost 6 weeks has passed since. The first two weeks were a daze of tears and sadness. I am still sad today, but I'm a little less sad than yesterday. That's the way I have pulled myself through this.

ZebraZeebra · 19/06/2014 15:41

Virgo massive congratulations! Crossing all my fingers and toes for a sticky bean. Roll on the 12 week scan.

I just can't shake this depression. I'm in such a grump. Poor DS is beginning to go through a rough time being frustrated and he's still pre-verbal and gets really frustrated really easily..but I just have no patience. I did some handstands and he was cute trying to copy me but I just can't cheer myself up.

Hoping blindly that whatever happened three weeks ago - chemical pregnancy or miscarriage? - that it wasn't enough to put a big blip on my cycle. I definitely had EWCM on Monday and we DTD Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday. But who knows. I'm sorry if all this talk of DS is upsetting for anyone yet to have a baby. It must seem so ungrateful :(

greysar · 19/06/2014 15:40

Congrats Virgo!!

Lou07708 · 19/06/2014 15:15

Me and the hub got asked it at the bank last week. "How many kids do you want, when do you want them" I was jovial but if was KILLING me inside. Sometimes I feel it would be easier if everyone knew.
Smoking lady would drive me over the edge. I'd probably unleash all sorts of verbal abuse at her.
Try not to be sad. We already have one bfp today. Just try to smile a little bit. X

I am a fitness instructor by night/morning/lunch. If you are physically ok, I suggests you put some music on and just let loose and DANCE. Sweat and endorphins! I feel so uplifted after class - it really helps!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 19/06/2014 14:57

lou its such an intrusive question and it bloody hurts Sad

ok on school run, I can see.....

9 pregnant women
3 newborns

And just passed 1 heavily pregnant women smoking Angry

can I cry now Sad

Lou07708 · 19/06/2014 14:53

Gritted teeth. I can come and help out with the slaps! That really sucks. It's such a rude intrusive question to ask. I would tell them to naff off!
I remember when I decided to tfmr. I took my maternity dresses back to the shop. "What's the reason for return madam". I almost punched her.

Lou07708 · 19/06/2014 14:49

Virgo congrats ?? I have everything crossed for you!!!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 19/06/2014 14:46

Congratulations virgo x

next person that asks me how many children I have/when im planning on having children/did I wait to have children or says your not getting any younger you know, is getting a slap Angry

7 people today have made one of those comments; wibu to tell the next one to fuck off?

Virgo9 · 19/06/2014 14:35

I know it's not a Friday, but I got sick of waiting for AF and Poas and I got a BFP.

I didn't think I ovulated this month as opk's were negative. But I did have a small amount of EWCM. I only think I'm 5wks so still a long way to go.

The sticks I used were passed on by a lovely lady on this thread and she said they were lucky for her as they have been for me. If I managed to get to have a successful 12wk scan I will be passing the luck on to whoever wants it.

sebsmummy1 · 19/06/2014 10:26

Lou - re. Reflexology I have no idea!!! There is anecdotal evidence that it can help. But to me I am just getting my feet tickled for an hour. It makes my face itch weirdly and apparently no one else has said that to her lol. So I am weird.

Lou07708 · 19/06/2014 09:55

Boozle - lol!!!
I am a PA and will no doubt be nominated to send said baby a welcome to the world bouquet. If I didn't laugh about all of this I would be sinking!!!!
Do the 2 x scan photo senders know your situation?
I forgot to mention my next door neighbour is pregnant. I hear her moaning daily about her v veins. Oh and her best friend is a midwife. I hear tales from the garden most weekends about how many she brought into the world this week. Any other angles they can come at me from!!!
