The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

I will Poas on Friday too although I think it's quite early

Lou07708 · 23/06/2014 18:51

boozle I feel sick and anxious thinking about POAS what of its bfp what if it's bfn, what if it goes wrong again, what if I never have kids. Please can someone slap me with a fish several times!!!

FlorenceandZebedee · 23/06/2014 18:51

hope your post has really resonated with me. I too am a teacher and my edd was a perfect September one. I had very much envisaged finishing things off for the year, putting my feet up for the summer then sitting at home with my new baby while the school year started. Instead I'm planning for new classes and training in sept and going in a holiday I shouldn't be able to fly on and absolutely dreading walking through that door in sept Sad do you think it'll be easier when edd passes? I think I'm finding it harder now as people due around the same time as me are so very pregnant now. I don't seem to find newborns so tricky.

sebs I think I'm also feeling a bit like you in that I'm starting to wonder if I should put this ttc lark to one side and pursue other things. Then I'm hit with the panic of this could be my month and I'm getting older and the sibling gap is getting wider. I'm trying to look on the positive side and think that we've still got all the wonderful things to look forward to rather than mourning what's not happened all the time- I'm having limited success with this!

On a more positive note love the RL preg bombs. We were at a christening yesterday so the bump and small baby count was high! Laughing about it is def the way forward!

Hope all of those of you feeling sad are ok and finding some small pleasures and joys x x x

Boozle80 · 23/06/2014 18:41

littlelady I fully intend to poas on Friday if AF hasn't bobbed in to say hello - feel slightly sick thinking about it!

Boozle80 · 23/06/2014 18:39

Oh Foxtrot sending you a hug - sometimes the reminders are everywhere aren't they?!

Lou I ovulated on day 11 - but I wasn't temping so that was from cbfm. Plus it took me three months to get an AF for half a day so I'm only assuming that was what it was.

Does anyone remember how long it took their cycles to return to normal length following their first AF? Trying to work out when my next is due roughly so I can poas!

Brunmie I'm sending you positive egg vibes!

Hope everyone's Monday has been as good as it can be

Foxtrot7459 · 23/06/2014 18:31

I had a wobble today in tesco. Was about to pull into a parking space and the car in the space next to it was having food loaded into it by a pregnant lady. I drove on and parked somewhere else. In the store on my way to the fruit and veg section I have to walk past the clothes. On the end rails were loads of newborn outfits. I gripped the trolley and walked by as quick as I could. I managed to get through the shop and back to my car before I broke down. Difficult times x

Treaclepie19 · 23/06/2014 18:10

Thanks ladies, don't think I'd be able to get through all this without you to talk to.

Sorry to hear so many are having a bad day :( will read back properly after dinner x

Justonemoretime · 23/06/2014 18:08

Thank you Lou. Xx

Enjoy the wine metal! I'm abstaining almost completely in this 2ww which is a whole lot of fun during the World Cup. Anyone going to poas this Friday?

Justonemoretime · 23/06/2014 16:42

Aww, Boozle, thanks! Sorry to make you cry.x
Lou, here it is uk.virginmoneygiving.com/RossisRiding, and thank you :)
Sorry to read about all the RL pg bombs going on. Would you believe I even saw one at the swim (spectator, obviously), and a bit of my brain went 'hrumph, grumble grumble' even though I had much more pressing things to focus on, like my 2 mile swim... I think I'm a bit hard wired to notice them now.
I think if I don't get pg I might complete my MA, started a few years ago and left at a post grad cert. Or maybe I'll get an expensive hobby!
Sorry to hear so many still feeling down. Hope you turn a corner soon. X

metal good to see AF is here and wine is out!!
If it wasn't for this forum I'd be out of control today. Usually a bit of spotting mid cycle wouldn't affect me but now it's just all too consuming. Here's hoping my 2 bars on cbfm is a true indicator that ov will happen this month

Metalhead · 23/06/2014 15:26

AF now in full swing here btw, I'm already chilling the wine for tonight!

Metalhead · 23/06/2014 15:25

Lou I ovulated around the same time as pre-mc, which for me is CD19-21, so was back to my usual cycles pretty quickly.

How annoying about the pregnant lady at work. At least that's one advantage I have working from home; not sure how I would cope with seeing a bump everyday, so you have my full sympathy.

Hope26 · 23/06/2014 15:23

Lou I ovulated cd16 after AF. I usually have a 30-32day cycle

Lou07708 · 23/06/2014 14:57

Sorry ladies for bombardment! Following first AF post erpc (for those that had one), what cd did all of you ovulate on?
I am driving myself bonkers today and preggas lady bump at work is practically touching my arm Envy

Lou07708 · 23/06/2014 12:38

littlelady thanks! This has really upset me for some reason but feel a little better now. I guess it's the unbearable thought of POAS in two weeks and seeing bfn. X

Littlelady33 · 23/06/2014 12:36

Lou my first cycle after ERPC I had a normal ish AF then on cd 10 or 11 started to bleed pretty badly again for 3-4 days. Never really discovered why and I found I weirdly upsetting, which I guess was hormones. Also possibility of womb lining being stick quite thick apparently. I thought it was ov bleeding but actually didn't on until much later, cd 25 or so.

Lou07708 · 23/06/2014 11:47

just I tried to find the virgin giving page but couldn't find it.

Lou07708 · 23/06/2014 11:26

Morning ladies,
A tough day yesterday for me. Really sad and down about my reality.
I think it's because I started spotting. I had AF for 4 x days last week then nothing. Randomly yesterday CD 8 I spotted and again today. Anyone had this first cycle post erpc. Also on my cbfm I am up to 2 x bars - cd 9. Really confused about it all??? Can you ovulate and spot at the sane time. I am cautious about the acuracy of cbfm for first few cycles so going to dtd every other day, it's just the spotting that's made me down I guess.
Oh and the fact I had to send baby girl flowers at work for a colleague. Booooo!

Brummiegirl15 · 23/06/2014 10:40

I agree Hope - every single BFP I see on this thread gives me hope that it can happen again

Hope26 · 23/06/2014 10:11

Congratulations daisy - really excited for you, i hope you have a healthy pregnancy.

The women who complain have no idea how blessed they are, to be honest i was very ignorant myself and used to complain when i used to get really tired during first trimester. I would do anything to have those symtoms again.

Metal, what job do you do? if TTC is stressing you out, take it easy on yourself, one day at a time. I hope you find a job that you enjoy.

I feel down everytime I come to work, the summer term at school is nearly over, I would've been expecting in Oct and these are the days I should have been enjoying and looking forward to not going back to work in the sept term. Theres a olleague who is expcting in Nov - i'm dreading to see her bump aroud school.. unless I fall pregnant before that.....

THIS IS SO HARD.

The only thing getting me through this is the BFP's i see appearing on this chat!

Brummiegirl15 · 23/06/2014 10:10

Morning ladies.

Daisy huge congrats - that's fab news!!! Don't ever worry about sharing your news. It gives us hope.

Carly I know exactly how you feel and how upsetting it all is, I went to a wedding at weekend and was sat on table with a clearly newly pregnant woman. She kept holding her tummy, didn't touch her glass of wine and didn't eat her pannacotta pud. In fact me and DP overheard her DP say. " you can't eat that can you? ". Made me so jealous!!!

treacle really glad you are DTD again - I know it must have taken a lot to get to that point.

English smiling boozle and everyone else, hope we are all doing ok today.

Well AF has left the building and we've started DTD buy I admit, I am bricking it about trying again. The fear that my body won't know what it's doing, the fear of how gutted I'd be if it didn't work and AF appears and also if we are lucky enough to catch but the same happens again.

But all we can do is DTD and tomorrow morning I will be cracking open the clear blues. It says I need to start on CD7 which is tomorrow.

Come on eggs - do your stuff!!!!

Metalhead · 23/06/2014 09:51

I know exactly what you mean about job applications sebs, I had a phone interview for an internal role about a month ago and never heard back! So annoying.

Funny you should say that about a new career becoming more of a priority, I was having exactly the same thoughts at the weekend. I might seriously start looking into going back to uni next year, and if I'm not pregnant by then I think I will give up on the idea of DC2 and just focus on getting a career that I actually enjoy. At the moment I'm hating both my job and my life because of all the ttc stress, and I can't go on like this forever or I fear I will slip into depression again, which would be no good to anyone.

sebsmummy1 · 23/06/2014 09:17

Oh Metal I'm so sorry. It's so fucking hard to keep seeing BFNs. In my case seeing BFPs leads to nothing good either unfortunately. Such is life, keep trying, you will get there I'm sure.

I'm on 5dpo, AF due in 7 days time. I'm not convinced I ovulated as my peak sticks were pretty weak and I got some tacky cm after ov. I can't be bothered to take my temps anymore as it doesn't make me feel any better.

My partner commented that I don't seem to care so much about TTC anymore over the weekend. I think I still care, but as time goes on I am being more and more removed from the likelihood and things like retraining for a new career start to become more of a priority.

We will see. I didn't get through to the interview stage if one of the jobs I applied for, was really grateful for the email letting me know that as I know many places just let your application disappear into the ether.
