The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Oh and the "well it wasn't meant to be this time"

Thanks for that.

monten I agree, next thread might be "if you've got a baby bomb, unhelpful comments or anything else remotely insensitive then JTFO, keep moving, nothing to see here"

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 24/06/2014 21:56

To add to the JTFO list:

People who say 'you've got plenty of time, you're still young' or like brummie said 'well at least you know you can get pregnant'

My pregnancy apps that despite me deleting an dun subscribing from, still manage to send me a daily update of the new developments of my baby and which piece of fruit it's similar in size to

Littlelady33 · 24/06/2014 21:52

The 'at least you know you can get pregnant' line is a real shocker. I've had it in variations from friends, family... It's well meant of course but pretty absurd. I feel like saying - thanks but I was kind of looking to have a baby rather than test my fertility for fun. Gah.

Daisybell1 · 24/06/2014 21:50

Totally agree on the " at least you can get pg comment" - argh!!!!

Have not told my mum re bfp but have lined her up for a visit during week 8. That's when my mcs have been diagnosed so thought it best to get some backup lined up...

Monten · 24/06/2014 21:45

Please can we call the next thread the jog the fuck on thread??! Please!

We are at 700 messages so are going to need a new one soon.

WHAT is it with people saying 'at least you know you can get pregnant' ?? Even my own mum said it. Yes I know thank you, and I was indeed pregnant and now I'm not! I'd rather be one of those who just gets to stay pregnant thanks.

Who else can jog the fuck on?

Ocado for sending me baby moisturiser because I ordered pregnancy vitamins from them once
Most pregnant ladies, but not all
Dickhead GPs
Colleagues who drop baby bombs

Brummiegirl15 · 24/06/2014 21:39

I've started using cb dual sticks hope

Hope they work!!!!

Brummiegirl15 · 24/06/2014 21:36

Hey all - waiting for colleague number 3 to drop the baby bomb tomorrow. And I watched location location location. Put. Those. Scan pictures away!!!!

Sorry boozle about AF - big hugs for next time.

Good luck daisy please keep s updated!

Welcome marmalade please don't be nervous. I had my mc 4 weeks ago and these ladies are just fantastic and have kept me sane and been incredibly comforting.

We all do daft things - we all need a fish slap every now and again - every single one of us- but no one judges and everyone just comforts.

We all range in ages, some already have dc's - some not quite yet - but we all bond and know how shit it feels.

Oh and we swear. A lot.

And sometimes a bit of ranty swearing helps :-)

But I had a week off too, I needed it, I still cry every now and again. I try and ignore all insensitive comments. "Oh at least you know you can get pregnant, it's not as though you waited months and months" oh so that makes it ok then?

Why don't you jog the fuck on. JTFO is my mantra and I'm sticking to it.

Hope26 · 24/06/2014 21:26

Sorry you're here marmalade - all the ladies here are awesome so pour your heart out!

How does the clear blue monitor work? I use the clear blue ovulation sticks with dual hormone indicator. What's the difference between the two?

Pregnant women are everywhere on tv- can't get away. I watch greys anatomy and someone is always giving birth- so painful to see.

Is daisy pg? I think I'm lost on this thread now.. Need to go back and read! You ladies can talk haha xxx

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 24/06/2014 21:05

I had 8 weeks off and then worked reduced hours for 2 weeks, this is my first proper week back.

Lauren82000 · 24/06/2014 21:03

Marmalade I had a similar experience with my gp, the first mc I went in to get my blood results and they signed me off for a week. We ttc before having a full cycle and caught again but sadly lost that one at the same point I rang up for my test results that time but was only offered another blood test to check my levels had dropped right down. No how are you do you need time off from work, nothing.

I already knew we had lost that one too as I'd been bleeding for 6 days by that point I worked through it and just took a long weekend off. GP's are rubbish they actually rang my home first thinking id be there. I wasn't about to take time off work to lounge about at home thinking about it all. Id done that the first time.

Treaclepie19 · 24/06/2014 20:59

Welcome marmalade and sorry you have found yourself here.

Ladies I've lost the plot... I was reading something on twitter and it said 6 month's til Xmas eve which was my due date and now I'm upset again.

Gah.

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 24/06/2014 20:51

marmalade that's truly an awful thing to say. Especially from a healthcare professional. Absolutely disgraceful.

Justonemoretime · 24/06/2014 20:50

(And welcome, Marmalade, sorry you find yourself here.)

Justonemoretime · 24/06/2014 20:48

Complian about that GP. That's an unacceptably poor standard of care. Ooooh that makes me so cross!

OP posts:
Boozle80 · 24/06/2014 20:46

That's really bad Marmalade I took nine weeks off in total after my mc and I needed the majority of that time to get my head straightish. Sending you massive hugs and a large rotting fish (with maggots growing out of it) to hit your doctor with xx

Marmaladecat1 · 24/06/2014 20:38

Thanks everyone

monten I goggle that a lot!

I wish I could just chill out, see how it goes etc but it's not going to happen.

Had a crappy day at work and feeling very woe is me.

I should get signed off but when I called the GP about my miscarriage, the triage didn't know what to say and the doctor said 'well you were only just pregnant'. Because that makes ok then yes?

Boozle80 · 24/06/2014 20:37

When I went for my EPRC I downloaded loads of episodes of Great British Bake Off and Masterchef as we thought they'd be safe territory to watch before the op. How wrong can you get - one contestant was pregnant, one had just had a baby and one was a chuffing midwife, cue long films showing incite into their lives - we had to laugh. Argh!!!

Boozle80 · 24/06/2014 20:33

Keep us posted Daisy, you're about the only person in the world I don't seem to get the kick in the face feeling when I think of others being pregnant!

Lou07708 · 24/06/2014 20:30

monten laughing so much about location!!!!!
Soooooo funny!! We are looking out for each Grin
I use the cbfm in the pic. They advice 2 x af's post mc b4 you start but I have started with it again 1st cycle. I conceived with it on cycle 2 last time so I say wait for AF then start it x

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 24/06/2014 20:29

Thanks for the heads up, was just about to switch over to location!

Daisybell1 · 24/06/2014 20:27

I saw it start Monten and went charging in to OH in the other room and grabbed the remote, I couldn't cope with seeing that Sad

Lou07708 · 24/06/2014 20:25

marmalade welcome and sorry you find yourself here.
monten I practically convinced myself I'd get preggas without AF poking her nose in my business. I went GOOGLE CRAZY for three weeks. I have calmed down now, I just bombard this forum instead! I hope no one is watching location location location currently. Preggas woman showing off her scans! Seriously women, you are EVERYWHERE!

Monten · 24/06/2014 20:21

I'm watching location location location really must get a life and one of the couples is expecting and they have shown them cooing over scan pictures 3 times already!!

Massive fingers crossed for you Daisy

Good luck tomorrow english Thanks

I was seriously considering getting a CBFM but was going to wait until first af as doubt it will make sense of my cycles before then? Has anyone else used one straight away?

Daisybell1 · 24/06/2014 19:59

So sorry Boozle, tis crapity crap.

And sorry you're here marmalade - please go to the gp and be signed off. I was signed off for a month after my last one, and took 3 weeks of that to get my head (relatively) straight.

Sorry you are surrounded by everyone Brummie, I really hope they shut up soon!

Thanks for asking Monten, St Marys do 6 week scan and bloods which is booked for next week, and then 8 and 10 week scans if I want. Problem is I live bloody miles away and it cost a fortune on the train so will try and ask my local hospital to do the 8 week one.

Sorry if I haven't caught up with everyone, this thread moves so fast!

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 24/06/2014 19:54
