We're TTCing DC2 and it's taking a while. DH was away the weekend of my most fertile time but we DTD loads the day before he went so there would have been sperm alive and kicking over the next couple of days.

AF is two days late and I had cramps the week beginning of when it was due, and had back ache and cramps this morning. I've caved and done a few OV strip tests and while not conclusively positive, they're getting darker. I almost daren't get a HPT though because I did some a few days ago and they were negative.

I daren't let myself hope, I keep feeling something coming and going to check...but obviously I am hoping because I posting this! Oh this is a special kind of torture.

Aww Sad
So sorry hun...yes i agree with cookie is it not spotting implantation?? Xx

ItStillLooksLikeRainDear · 06/06/2014 15:28

Sorry to hear that. Thanks

cookielove · 06/06/2014 11:12

Oh no, sorry to hear that! Is it def Af or maybe implant spotting?

I think as you have had a + it is actually an early miscarriage not a chemical pregnancy!

ladyflower23 · 06/06/2014 08:15

Sorry to hear that Sad

ZebraZeebra · 06/06/2014 08:07

She couldn't really do/tell me anything, it's the GP that tests so I made an appointment for Monday...but "AF" arrived this morning. So I guess given the few BFPs, it was a chemical pregnancy. Thanks for all your finger crossing and support, it was really helpful and I appreciate it.

How did you get on with the nurse today?

ladyflower23 · 05/06/2014 08:09

Yes speak to the nurse about it today, and if you implanted late, that might explain why you are not getting strong positives yet x

MrsCouchman · 05/06/2014 08:01

Definitely there! I would say you def are! I got not pregnant on a dig but faint positives, dig finally gave me pregnant 7 days after my first positive x

ZebraZeebra · 05/06/2014 07:39

Faint but definitely there - needs to be a +.

Thanks ladies, you're all lovely. I got a CB the day before - the digital said not pregnant on Tuesday but yesterday the plus/minus one had a definite plus in it albeit faint. God this is a long and unnecessary drama. Still no AF - now five days late. I know it's going to be resolved one way or other - either AF arrives or I get a BFP -but this is getting silly. I registered with a new GP and have a standard nurse's appointment today, maybe I'll mention it to her then.

Sainsbury tests are rubbish!

Fx you get the result you want!

1moretime · 04/06/2014 20:13

Hope your ok hun. No Af means you still could be zebra i agree with woodwaj perhaps get an appt & get a blood test?
Best of luck xx

woodwaj · 04/06/2014 19:09

How many days late are you? have you considered the gp for a blood test?

JacktheLab · 04/06/2014 18:45

Awww, zebra :(

ZebraZeebra · 04/06/2014 16:12

More BFNs today but still no period. So to conclude - one BFN on Monday, BFNs since, AF four days late. I'm thinking - from most to least likely - chemical pregnancy / somehow I am extremely rare and just not getting a bfp when i am pregnant :(

It's just not looking good. The very faint BFP, then the subsequent BFNs.

ItStillLooksLikeRainDear · 03/06/2014 22:55

Still keeping them crossed for you.

ZebraZeebra · 03/06/2014 14:11

Thanks everyone - it's all so helpful. I've been feeling very, very nauseous so I'm hoping and crossing everything.

Im sure I recently saw a thread complaining about sainsburys tests! Try a frer!

hanflan · 03/06/2014 11:56

Superdrug are very sensitive and that is only a faint line, which might explain why other (less sensitive) brands aren't picking it up yet! Test tomorrow with another superdrug one or a FRER and you should get a decent line! :)

FoodieMum3 · 03/06/2014 11:33

Use a first response, it will give you a definite result. If your AF is late and you are pregnant there will be no mistaking the result, IMO.

NutcrackerFairy · 03/06/2014 11:26

I had a really faint line like that with DS2 [he is now 3!]

I think I tested on the day my period was due or pretty close to it. A Boots test I think it was.

Wait a few days and test again... but I think you might be pregnant.

Congratulations!

ZebraZeebra · 03/06/2014 08:48

Yeah, the line came up yesterday straight away. That one was a Superdrug one. The one I got the BFN on this morning was Sainsburys - though I did another and got a very faint line - very faint but there nonetheless. Crossing everything. I think I just have to wait it out.
