I haven't taken any since we were trying for DD but when I did that (and took the same tests) I would get a positive for 1 or 2 days max. The test line is also loads darker than the control line everytime. I've just taken another one with really clear wee (so not concentrated at all like they recommend) and its still a strong line. I have been getting the barest amount of EWCM but usually I get loads of it and this is like once a day and a tiny smear?!?!? Confused I am very puzzled.

Oh and for the past 2 days I have been having lower tummy cramps, all across my tummy, at one point today I was bent over in pain and thought I was going to be sick. Its really odd, think I might start a new post to ask others too.

RedBunny · 07/07/2014 20:39

Oh no thinking back I'm sure I've read you could get a long surge if your body keeps trying to ovulate but it hasn't happened yet. Maybe that's it?? Do they usually work differently for you?

RedBunny · 07/07/2014 20:37

You know I was looking at cheap opks online the other day and some website had different sensitivity opks. Which I thought odd and didn't have time to read properly but I think it had something to do with detecting lesser hormone? To give you more warning? Or maybe it's to do with estrogen kind of like the digital ones where they tell you your estrogen is rising so you have warning you're getting LH surge coming? I don't know. But otherwise that's odd. I don't think you can have an actual LH surge that long??

TerrysNo2 · 07/07/2014 19:11

water test was negative!

TerrysNo2 · 07/07/2014 19:08

cheapies from Amazon, don't see how I could be pregnant as I had a period 18 days ago, a proper one too (heavy for one day then light for 2/3 which is normal for me) Just going to do a test in water to see what happens

ladyflower23 · 07/07/2014 18:58

What you using digi or one with lines? Four days is long for a surge. Could you already be preggo?!

TerrysNo2 · 07/07/2014 18:30

can anyone tell me why my opk tests are still positive, that means I've had a positive test on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and today?!?! Confused I forgot to take one on Sunday. I'm really confused

RedBunny · 07/07/2014 10:21

Sorry about AF daisysunshine. Now I know I am out it is absolutely horrible waiting for AF to start properly so I can just move on to next month. I hate it! Ttc is too much waiting. Waiting to ovulate, waiting to be able to test, if not pregnant waiting for AF so you can get to waiting to ovulate again! I hate waiting. I'm very impatient!!

ladyflower23 · 07/07/2014 09:35

Sorry af showed up daisy. Fx for bfps before end of summer!

daisysunshine2 · 07/07/2014 08:49

Well I never even had to POAS, work with AF on Sunday morning :( onwards and upwards! Sorry to hear the crappy times going on on here too :( TTC is the worst emotional roller coaster ever! X

ladyflower23 · 07/07/2014 08:28

OK, just looked at it, costs £249-£899 depending on what version you get, so that'll be a no for now! Looks really good though, apparently gives you 6 days notice of when you are going to ov, pinpoints exactly when you ov, alerts you to any problems with your cycle and does charts for your doctor! Maybe something for the future if the laidback/not caring approach doesn't yield any results!! With the really expensive version you get free pregnancy test kits. We'd probably make our money back from those he he!

ladyflower23 · 07/07/2014 08:22

I do sometimes wonder if the trying so hard is somehow preventing it from happening. I don't know how, stress, desperation or something?! But it does seem people who don't try seem to have it happen really easily. Having said that, last night DH was telling me about this patch you can wear under your armpit that measures your temp and tells you when you've ov'd. I haven't done BBT as didn't want something else I had to think about and do every day drive myself crazy with, but maybe a patch that does all the work and analysis wouldn't be so bad?! Or maybe i should just bloody well take a month off!!

RedBunny · 06/07/2014 21:21

Ladyflower that's exactly how I'm feeling now- I don't think I can keep on trying so hard. I've been trying very hard for almost a year now. Maybe I need to take some time out.

ladyflower23 · 06/07/2014 20:35

Ah thanks pinpan. I think I might try the casual approach and see how it goes.Am fed up with thinking about it!!

pinpan · 06/07/2014 20:01

Maybe have a month off trying so hard ladyflower, and just jump on DH when you feel sexy (that's supposed to be a symptom of ovulating anyway, right?). I got crazy obsessed with the 2ww the first cycle of trying, and a bit obsessed the second one, then gave myself a good talking to and feeling much more positive about it this time round. Thanks

ladyflower23 · 06/07/2014 17:16

Sorry some of you are feeling so down at the moment. TTC really does suck arse! OPKs have confused me, and the sex gone all wrong, so think my chances this month are out the window. On the instructions of my OPKs it says the test line being nearly as dark as the control line is a positive. Well I had that on Thursday, then on Friday they were the same colour and then yesterday darker than the control, then today lighter again, so not sure which day counts as the surge! I had pains on Fri night which stopped during sleep then came back for a short time Sat lunchtime. Whether any of that was ov, I don't know.
Last DTD on Thursday night. Tried again on Fri, but late at night and DH was too tired to complete. Then last night he was too drunk (in fairness I was pretty drunk to, but that doesn't effect anything). I have also had no CM of any kind for the last few days, so don't think there is anything to keep his sperm alive.
I am wondering if the pressure is getting to him. It's getting to me. I am wondering if it would be better if we just keep not using contraception, but I stop monitoring and it will happen when it happens, or it won't. I hate feeling stressed about whether I'm ovulating, how long my luteal phase is, and how even when we do manage to have sex 'at the right time' I still end up not pregnant. Would it be better to just try and not think about it and what will be will be?

RedBunny · 06/07/2014 17:01

Pinpan my daughter doesn't sleep either. But she's always been an awful sleeper and I feel kind of immune to it and this is also why I'm like I'll just have a bunch of them, I'm used to not sleeping anyway! I have no doubt it will feel different when I go back to trying to stay awake breastfeeding at night but at the moment I'm ok with the idea!! I just need the baby to hurry up and appear.... Or babies if I do get twins haha!! You never know, I'd have them all done then and not need to do all this ttc trouble again!

HappilyMrsR · 06/07/2014 13:02

Sorry you all seem to be feeling so rubbish, its so tough isn't it, and I'm only just starting on this journey. PMT def doesn't help. Newbie I've never had a BFP, really hope I can get pregnant, and there are no issues. This whole process is really tough - the waiting, the anxiety, etc.

I had the perfect set up in mind - boy first, then two girls, even sept births! - but actually I'd be grateful for anything at all, as long as it was healthy.

I'm only about 6dpo CD24 so got a long wait before I can start to think about poas. And no symptoms, good or bad! AF due anytime from 13th x

newbie6 · 06/07/2014 12:32

Thanks sensible ladies, I got a BFP last 2 times at 6 days before AF was due which is why I'm tempted but I'm also scared I'll get another BFN and get depressed, arrgghhhh nightmare this waiting game :( sorry to those whose AF has turned up, hopefully next month! Xx

Sarahg1 · 06/07/2014 12:32

I'm still here red doing my best not to be upset but still feeling pretty rubbish. AF is being weird, just when I think it's getting going and I get some bright red it stops and goes back to brown. need it to just hurry the hell up as my nipples are so sore I could cry!

entirely understand about the strain on the relationship too, it's affecting us too and we are getting married in a few days so really not what we need but you're right it's just so hard month after month.

pinpan · 06/07/2014 11:36

I'm around 7 dpo, give or take a day or two. CD17 anyway, and AF due sometime around Monday week. Might not manage to hold out til the pee party on Friday 18th, but will defo go til the Wednesday at least. Grin Am well tired, but that is probably to do with non-sleeping DD and generally hectic life at the moment!

Three, RedBunny, what fun! Maybe you can just have twins this time round. Wink I have to say, I think twins would break me, it would be seriously relentless! (There are some in my family and in DHs, but not too many of them...) I would totally have lots of them if I had ones that slept, but as it is, I think we'll stop at 2. SmileSmile

RedBunny · 06/07/2014 08:56

Where are you at now pinpan?

RedBunny · 06/07/2014 08:54

I agree. I got more spots this time and figured it might mean something but today is the 12dpo and I got BFN so expecting the spotting to turn into AF soon. But I would wait longer to test even with the first response. They are really really sensitive but I think it will be too soon to be certain either way.
I just bought a clearblue fertility monitor on eBay but I think I might stop trying so hard. I don't know. It's just so hard to not be pregnant every month and think "what happened? I tried so hard. I did everything right" and it's making a real strain on my marriage. Though my husband and I agreed this morning that we will have three in the end so we can hopefully have the next two closer together. So that was nice. How is everyone else? How's Sarah? I hope you're not as upset as me!!

pinpan · 06/07/2014 04:30

Compromise and hold out til Wednesday! I dunno about the spots, I got more than usual for pre AF last month and it came to nothing, but it could be a sign. But I'm spotty this month too so I'm hoping you're right and it is a symptom. Fingers crossed!

newbie6 · 05/07/2014 20:17

Hi all

So after saying I wouldn't symptom obsess I am! I have erupted in lots of small spots which is really unusual for me? Mainly on my face but a couple on my chest? I could do a FRER on Monday as AF is due on Sat but told myself I would wait till Fri to test but now I'm not sure? Thought anyone on these spots, do u reckon this might be the month???? Xx
