Yes pinpans new symptom is very exciting. Something else for us to look out for!! Oh no newbie!! Sounds like the addict in you has taken control! I reckon you need to be giving those tests to dh to hide away till the weekend Grin

newbie6 · 08/07/2014 16:23

Congrats Terry!

Well I stupidly POAS today with a cheapie internet one and got a line, then did a FRER and got a BFN so v depressed! Think I'm either 8 or 9 dpo though so no idea why I'm depressed, my AF is not as regular anymore either so it tends to be anything from 27 to 29 days so I might have been too early for FRER?

Not testing again till Friday, promise!!!

Good luck everyone! I also thought if I'm not preggars I'm obviously also getting an acne problem to add to my woes!!

RedBunny · 08/07/2014 15:26

Thanks Ladyflower. You are right. I think it's very easy to lose perspective sometimes.
I'm quite interested in this symptom pinpan has you know. It's much more exciting than the regular ones!!

ladyflower23 · 08/07/2014 13:55

OOh pinpan, that sounds promising!
Well Sarah and Redbunny, you are both lovely ladies for not secretly stopping, a lot of people do (so I hear) and it is very wrong to trick someone into giving you a baby. Even if there is a problem somewhere, a lot of them can be fixed these days (once you get your GP to listen), so I am very sure you will both (and me hopefully) get your sticky BFPs at some point xx

RedBunny · 08/07/2014 13:52

That said I do love my husband very much. I know miscarriage is very very hard on relationships and lots do end as a result, so I try and keep it in mind that it's just another storm to weather. A really really bad one, but still, if we get through it, our marriage will be really strong. Aren't you getting married soon Sarah?

RedBunny · 08/07/2014 13:49

One night when having a particularly bad time my husband told me if id really wanted a baby so badly I'd have made sure to get one. Yes it's all my fault because I didn't become a deceitful wife and lie and steal your sperm Hmm
I don't know. It's just very hard. It's very hard he kept saying no and then expecting me to look after his son half the time. That was very insulting. Of course he says he didn't know Id have miscarriages so it's not his fault. And I know that isn't. But he did know how badly I wanted to start trying and I wasn't good enough for him to give me a baby then but I was good enough to keep caring for his child with his ex whenever he didn't want to do it. It's very hard.
Yes I think I should have just stopped taking the pill. I might still have had miscarriages but as this was 18 months ago I'd at least have answers by now.

Sarahg1 · 08/07/2014 13:04

Red I want to kiss you... I'm so glad it's not just me who is resentful of being made to wait. I love OH dearly but I wanted this ages ago and he wouldn't even agree to me coming off the pill. In my worst moments I often think I should have just done it and dread him making me wait for subsequent children. I know that makes me a total bitch but men have no idea how hard this is for women!!

ladyflower23 · 08/07/2014 12:38

So that's still long enough for implantation before spotting starts. Hmmm, I don't know. Have you looked at natural alternatives for balancing hormones? Evening Primrose meant to help with that.

pinpan · 08/07/2014 12:38

Dr Google says it could be hormones... I have had it for 2 or 3 days but it's much worse today than it has been. Cool moisturiser helping a bit. Interesting!

RedBunny · 08/07/2014 11:58

It's at 10dpo it starts.
I have to say pinpan I haven't heard of that symptom, sounds interesting though!!! I agree, ask dr google!!

ladyflower23 · 08/07/2014 11:39

Oh god Redbunny, why are people to STUPID?!!! Does it not cross their tiny minds that there might be more going on. I really think of TTC as a personal thing and if someone doesn't offer information, then you shouldn't ask!
Wonder how much docs really know about TTC. WHat you really want is a fertility doctor to speak to, but don't know how you would get that without being referred. At what DPO is the spotting starting?
Redface pinpan, could defo be a symptom, have you googled? Grin So far I haven't got any symptoms, which is definitely a symptom!

RedBunny · 08/07/2014 11:38

It made me have a huge argument with my husband though. It reminded me of I really wanted a baby and he kept saying no. And now it's not happening. I know I shouldn't but I feel so resentful that he made me wait so long.

pinpan · 08/07/2014 11:02

You should have given that toddler-group-mum a punch, RedBunny! So insensitive. People are idiots. (Other people, obv. Not this group. Oh no.)

On the "ridiculous symptoms that might not be symptoms" front, my face is bright red and hot like I have sunburn. I haven't even been outside today (well, barely, and it was cloudy and cold). What does it meeeeeeeaaaaan? It must mean something, right?

RedBunny · 08/07/2014 10:57

Congratulations to terry though!! That's really good news for you. Ttc is hard and you've like skipped it. Woohoo!!!

RedBunny · 08/07/2014 10:56

My doctor was not very helpful. I think maybe she was too much older and is in the old thinking on miscarriages, because she said to me she was pleased I hadn't gotten pregnant yet because she thinks it's bad for your body to get pregnant before six months after your miscarriage. And she didn't seem to think spotting was a problem. Apparently the only thing that matters is that I ovulate.
Also though I saw someone who was at toddler group with me and was pregnant and I remember we had a conversation where she asked if I wanted another. I'd said yes I did but my husband wanted to wait a few more months and shed told me to just talk him into it then if I really wanted it. So today it was all "never talked your husband into it then" I came home and cried.

ladyflower23 · 08/07/2014 10:08

Congratulations Terry!!! I had a sneaky feeling that might be what was happening. I guess that bleed was not a period but a breakthrough bleed (or implantation?). I can understand that you are very shocked when you thought you were gearing up for ov and it turns out you are pregnant. I was hoping that was going to happen to me when I got 3.5 days of positive OPKs, but knew it was unlikely after 6 days of bleeding! Anyway congrats again, I hope the news sinks in soon and I'm glad it's happened nice and quickly for you. Don't feel bad, we always love to see a BFP on here. Gives us hope that it is possible! Of course we will now all be thinking we might still be pregnant even when we get our period Grin
Ooh OK pinpan, can't wait for more POAS action!

pinpan · 08/07/2014 09:41

Congratulations Terry! We are all very pleased for you. ThanksGrin

Ladyflower, don't know about dpo but AF is prob due around next Monday. I'm going to crack Wednesday next week, or possibly Monday Wink.

RedBunny, defo go and see the doctor. Ask about tranexamic acid - it's an antiinflammatory that can help stop crazy bleeding, if it is just that your hormones and womb have got confused and keep flushing everything out above and beyond the call of duty. You take it just for the heavy days of your period (so no issues about TTC afterwards). I had it a couple of months ago because I was losing pints for 4 days every month, and one load did the job and reset me nicely (was prescribed 3 months worth but I haven't needed them). Obviously the GP will have their own ideas, but might be worth asking about it.

TerrysNo2 · 08/07/2014 09:30

Sorry about AF RedBunny , I think it's a good idea to go to the doctors as they are there for us all.

I feel a bit embarrassed sharing this here but I just got a BFP and I feel really confused about it all. I wanted another baby but I was supposed to be just seeing what kind of cycle my body is in for a couple of months and then start properly trying and I'm so sorry that I've got my BFP and I feel like this when you guys are trying so hard. Basically what I want to say is I am going to post elsewhere as I am all a bit confused and I didn't want you guys to read it elsewhere as you've been great with your advice on here. I mean, I am happy too but just feeling a bit overwhelmed as I really really really was NOT expecting that.

ladyflower23 · 08/07/2014 09:22

Oh I'm sorry Redbunny. Yes go to the docs and get to the bottom of the spotting. You don't need something else to worry about. Maybe cry as you walk through the door then they have to be sympathetic Smile Let us know how you get on x
Pinpan? How many DPO are you now? Are you going to crack and POAS soon?

RedBunny · 08/07/2014 09:06

AF here today!!!! I'm going to the doctors as it's been so heavy and painful since my last miscarriage I went and got some painkillers last time for it so am going to ask for more. I'm also going to ask about the spotting for days before AF. I'm worried that might be a problem, and now I know it is happening every month I shall check.
I hope it's a nice sympathetic doctor and not one that will make me cry. I feel emotional enough as it is....

TerrysNo2 · 08/07/2014 08:48

yes they are the one step tests from Amazon.

ladyflower23 · 08/07/2014 08:21

Hi Terry. Are those the Onestep tests from Amazon? I wonder if they are very sensitive. I am using them this month and got one day almost as dark as control (which they say counts as a positive), one day same as control and 1.5 days darker than control and then it went back to lighter and I haven't tested since then. I also had positives with FMU. I agree with redbunny, might be that you are trying to ovulate, and that also might be what the pain is. I would defo do a HPT to rule out pregnancy though...which could also explain the cramping. It might well be neg, but at least then you can definitely rule that out.

TerrysNo2 · 08/07/2014 07:14

here is this mornings OPK with FMU, which the pack says shouldn't even pick up an LH surge?!? I guess I'll do a HPT today although I really don't think or feel pregnant and I definitely had a period. The only weird thing about the period which I didn't think too much about at the time was that I didn't have any period pains like I usually do but as it was my first since coming off the pill I didn't think much of it (and I usually, esp pre-pill get really bad cramps).

This is so frustrating!! Esp as I expect to get a BFN and then I'll just be confused until AF arrives!

Tww starts tomorrow!
TerrysNo2 · 07/07/2014 21:13

yes I took one a couple of days before AF arrived and it was BFN

RedBunny · 07/07/2014 21:01

Does sound a lot like being pregnant then.... Are you certain your period was a period and not a breakthrough bleed? Had you taken a pregnancy test before that?
