Ha ha! Welcome pinpan! It's the hardest thing in the world not to spot symptoms! I'm hugely guilty of this! Thank goodness for this thread, otherwise my poor DH would probably go as loopy as me!! Good luck this cycle!

Birdtable · 03/06/2014 09:44

Hi Pinpan! I am also very bad a symptom stopping and poas urges! Here we can all wait together!!

ladyflower23 · 03/06/2014 09:41

Hi pinpan, anytime you feel the urge to POAS post on here and I will try and stop you!! Do the same for me, I am an addict and need help! Currently 2DPO and managed to avoid it so far. Well done me! Grin

pinpan · 03/06/2014 09:27

Can I join in too? TTC #2, 2nd cycle as well. AF a bit irregular so probably not due until at least 20th (ovulation right about now Wink), but I reeeeally need help not testing before then as I am a terrible symptom spotter. (was absolutely convinced I was pregnant last month and then AF came 5 days early!) Maybe if I can spot all your symptoms instead it will help me ignore my own. Grin Good luck fruity!

ladyflower23 · 03/06/2014 09:24

Oh god I hate it when things like this happen!! SO confusing!! Why can't our bodies just behave themselves and follow what Dr Google says they should be doing. Have you dtd in the last few days? Maybe it's your DH's stuff. I can't tell the difference. Really annoys me because I can't work out how many days I get EWCM for and have to abstain before it comes so know that it has definitely started and not just stuff from him!
Here's a question for everyone. If it's cloudy but very stretchy is it EWCM or does it have to be clear? And what if it's clear and not stretchy? Think I might use OPKs next month...

Birdtable · 03/06/2014 09:14

I have had ewcm this morning? What does that mean? I have already ovulated!

Thanks ladiesGrin

Argh it's hellish. I keep thinking all these wee signs might mean something but don't want to get our hopes up this is the first time we've tried.
I am never going to last until af is due. That's nearly three weeks!!

Aw good luck fruity. Xx good luck to everyone really xx

ladyflower23 · 02/06/2014 22:41

FX for you Fruity!! Not too long to wait for you now!!

Fruityb · 02/06/2014 22:27

Nothing that doesn't signal AF as well so I'm trying to be good and not think about it! I keep checking my chest as my friend says veiny chest is always a good sign. I'm exhausted and feel a bit poorly but have just gone back to work today after an amazing holiday so could just be that lol.

I'm bloating, boobs are feeling a bit sensitive and I'm worn out. Could be a sign, could just be normal for this time in the month. I'm usually like clockwork so when Saturday comes I'll be on tenterhooks as to whether AF turns up or not. I didn't do OPK around time I could be ovulating as was on holiday, so am just hoping we got it right.

Hope to have good news this month :)

blankfornames · 02/06/2014 21:46

I'm the same as you zoobaby, symptom spotting to beat the band! I reckon it's way too early for me to be symptomatic but my boobs are really sore. I only ov a couple of days ago so it'd be wishful thinking that it's connected to anything!
To answer your question about the opks. I used them last month but I don't think I ov'd as it was my first proper cycle after the mc. I used the clearblue fertility monitor this month and it thinks for you and tells you exactly when you have high & peak fertility. They are expensive though (and definitely takes the romance out of dtd as you're doing it to a schedule!)

zoobaby · 02/06/2014 21:11

Emma no idea how the 2ww works. I'm guessing it takes the system 2 weeks to fertilise and travel to the correct spot and implant and start growing. Or maybe that's all just based on the perfect 28 day scenario.

zoobaby · 02/06/2014 21:07

So I think fruity's AF is due first, on the 7th. Any symptoms? None here really. Just a few aches/cramps here and there. Could mean something, could be nothing, could be last night's dinner. Who knows? I haven't charted temps due to waking in night so didn't see the point. Plus boobs feel fine, but possibly that's due to BFing at bed time. It's hard to be positive without being negative. It's just so contradictory. So I've been trying to tell myself to remain calm and just see. Easier said than done.

blankfornames · 02/06/2014 17:00

It's crazy how much the whole thing consumes you! I was out for dinner with my family last night and my Dad offered me a glass of wine. I couldn't say no (I'm not one to turn down a glass of wine without good reason!) but despite only being 1 or 2 days DPO, I felt guilty drinking it! I didn't want to be in the Hot Seat over why I wasn't having one glass of wine! Hopefully there'll be some BPFs among us in mid June!! Fx'ed!!

ladyflower23 · 02/06/2014 15:51

Welcome Emma! My af is due 12th/13th and I'm planning on holding out till 14th to test (if still no af). I tested early last month and got really depressed by the BFN then depressed again by my period and annoyed with myself for wasting money. Saying that I still have the second test in a drawer upstairs and I've already thought about doing it despite being only 1 or 2 DPO, so unlikely I'll stick by my big talk. Been getting flutterings in my womb area today so keep thinking it's the world's earliest implantation. I am quite short so maybe it's possible Grin

Birdtable · 02/06/2014 15:24

Hi Emma! I am testing the day af is due so the 14/15 June foe me.
Welcome to our waiting game!

OP posts:
Emma1109 · 02/06/2014 14:36

Can I jump on too? Lol

AF is all over the place so a bit hard to work out but normally on a 35 day cycle. Do I wait until 2 weeks after we estimated I ov'd or until the first day af is due?

(Worked out ov was Friday 30th May)

Aw good luck to everyone waiting Grin

Birdtable · 02/06/2014 10:22

I know what you mean ladies! Dh is getting complacent as I keep jumping him for dtd and it's usually the other way round!! He is loving it!!! Wink
I keep thinking I have a metalic taste in my mouth...! Symptom spotting is a pain! 2 weeks is just too long!
I have been taking "conception" vitamins the last month so hopefully they will be doing their job blankfornanes but I think folic acid is good on its own too.
It's nice to have ladies to chat to who are going through the same thing Smile

OP posts:
ladyflower23 · 02/06/2014 09:57

I know, it is a great place to let out all the crazy so you can act normal around your real life people!
I'm taking Vitabiotics Pregnacare Conception which is a multivit. Not sure whether it's really necessary, but it contains zinc which apparently supports reproduction.

blankfornames · 02/06/2014 09:36

Ha ha Ladyflower, you've totally on my wavelength there! Dh was afraid to kiss good night last night incase I'd hop him!! At least this thread exists...we can ladyrant together!
I've been taking folic acid for months but is that enough? Should I be taking a multi vitamin also or instead...just incase this tww turns out to be a fruitful one! Can anyone advise? Thanks!

ladyflower23 · 02/06/2014 09:23

I know these 2 weeks are ridiculous. I find the whole waiting thing so difficult and trying to second guess what my body's doing all the time. First waiting for period to finish, then waiting to ovulate, then waiting for af/BFP. Too much waiting!! Then all the unsexy busy with your cervical mucus - oooh it didn't stretch quite an inch, does that mean it's fertile or not? I will go and jump husband just in case - oh hello husband I'm feeling fertile, quick have sex with me - how do you know - I just do OK!
Sex to a timetable is so unsexy blankfornames, you are so right. I think my window is shut now, but wondering whether to do it again tonight for a top up just in case...if either of us can face doing it again and on a Monday night.

blankfornames · 02/06/2014 09:10

Af is due on the 12th. Birdtable, I also can't help symptom spotting either! My boobs are very sore at the moment, although there's generally only a few days in the month when they are not sore! I can't really tell when I'm ovulating so I used a cbfm this month just to be sure.We dtd everyday I got a high/peak reading except the high after the peak so I really hope I didn't miss the window of opportunity. Dtd to a timetable does take the romance out of it don't you think ?!!

GandTnow · 02/06/2014 08:22

Going to try and hold off testing until 13th when af is due - but having said that jsut been looking at the percentages of positives when testing early with first response!

How can two weeks feel so loooong?!

zoobaby · 02/06/2014 05:03

Hi everyone. I think DS read my earlier reply about improved sleep and thought he'd show me just who is boss around here. I'm also going to hold off testing until AF due date. Not that there is an exact due date but I've been averaging 30 cycles so plan to go with that.

Is OPK an ov prediction kit? Are they any good? Not that I want to know about them as I really want to bypass but thinking if this month isn't successful then maybe I'll go for that option. For DS, I charted and took temp religiously but since his birth everything is different. Haven't bothered with temps due to night wakings which have been brutal.

We don't DTD after the "window of opportunity" because we both just want to sleep Grin. We did plan to carry over an extra night from calculated ovulation just to "top up" but DP's work had other ideas. Just have to hope that the oaths was correct and that the equipment was all in good order.

Respect to those who are doing this all again with DC who are now relatively independent. I defo want to compress my "nappy years".

Birdtable · 01/06/2014 22:36

Me too. If af hasn't arrived i will test then Smile
