I'm TOTES going to need a support group until a bfp ladies! Woke up exhausted today after 8 hours sleep, and still feeling dizzy and bit sick. Although is this just a Friday feeling?? Stay strong all, and happy friday!

pinpan · 06/06/2014 08:58

Don't do it blank! I was in the supermarket this morning and had to actively stop myself buying more sticks. I have 2 in the house, that is plenty, I said to myself. Oh, but if I had more I could POAS more times, said inner-pinpan, who is a very bad influence. No! said stern pinpan, don't do it. And I didn't. But I reeeeeeally wanted to. I think the hardest bit is feeling so convinced that this month will be the month, but at the same time being scared that if you think about it too much it will jinx it. Keep having to tell myself that it is what it is (and inner pinpan is totally not convinced).

We should keep POAS-anonymous going until we've all had a bfp, and then each month there'll always be some people celebrating and some people to commiserate with. Grin

blankfornames · 06/06/2014 08:37

Good morning Ladies. I love the POAS Anonymous Support Group. Let me begin, My name is Blankfornames and it has been 7 days since I POAS!! I woke up again with a ferocious headache (all the same symptoms as day before AF arrives) but she's not due till next Thursday. I walked into the kitchen this morning and almost heaved as (after much searching) I found a gone off piece of broccoli behind the fruit bowl. DH smelled nothing. Now, I know I'm being crazy as there's no way my smell would be heightened this early but DH will be away most of the weekend leaving me loads of time to POAS. HELP!! I'm nearly convincing myself that I'm upduffed and I'm so afraid that I'm letting myself in for such a fall. What To Do?!!! Ok... Lady rant over! Best of Luck Fruity and everyone! Hope June is a very exciting month for y'all! Wink

ladyflower23 · 06/06/2014 08:08

MOrning everyone. Another day of symptom spotting begins. Still no PMT for me and always have it by now. More EWCM yesterday so am wondering if ovulating late. I wanted to DTD last night just in case, but just could not face doing it again!!!!! I'm going to have to get some sex toys or something for the next month to spice things up. Difficult to keep it exciting when you've been together 100 years and are doing it because my cervical mucus says so. Lush!
I will be thinking of you today Fruity and keeping everything crossed that AF does not appear. It does sound positive though (dizziness was one of my first symptoms with DS) so I am hoping that we get our first BFP of the thread next week Smile No pressure!

pinpan · 05/06/2014 22:34

ladyflower, yes, I see no reason why the POAS jar can't be used for wine. Grin And yes Redbunny, 12 days! Just because. I have done a lot of googling on whether you can have symptoms before you can POAS and so I am an expert. Wink The consensus seems to be a big vague shoulder-shrugging maybe. I was woken by DD a heap of times last night and ended up devouring rice krispies at 2 am because I was starving, and then I was starving again at 7 am - this is proof I am pregnant, yes? (Think I am about 3 dpo, ha.) I've got my fingers crossed for Fruityb though, sounds promising! (Hi Hibou! )

Katybear123 · 05/06/2014 20:16

Hi hibou welcome. Good luck fruityb, I am due on mon so going to wait till wed- fri to test I think. Just be to hard to poas then head off to work whether it's a bfp or bfn

Fruityb · 05/06/2014 19:53

I just checked my app for cycle history and such. I'm in day 25 tomorrow, and out of 8 cycles I've only had 3 go to longer than 25. So it's actually tomorrow I'm going to be nervous. I'm not going to POAS till after the weekend (unless I can't wait!)

Hibou7688 · 05/06/2014 19:47

can I join?! tww for me now, providing I did ov, I'm now 4dpo. had a few crampy feelings today, doubting whether I've ov'd late or if it's something more exciting.

Fruityb · 05/06/2014 19:45

I'm currently 10 dpo and am feeling so dizzy and wobbly on my feet. My boobs feel enormous and I'm really quite bloated, as well as wanting to eat myself out of house and home!!

Of course this could all just be pre AF symptoms. But I've not had this dizziness before, it's really weird! Well Saturday draws ever closer, I hope it's good news.

Fruityb · 05/06/2014 19:41

Waiting till Saturday.... Think it will break my heart again if AF shows again. Trying not to think too much about it!

Katybear123 · 05/06/2014 19:39

Hey redbunny, you could be right re it being to early for symptoms but hey who knows, as you say all the symptoms can also be af. I guess only time will tell.x

RedBunny · 05/06/2014 19:37

I am all day having the urge to POAS!!! When is it we have to hold off til? 12dpo?? Definitely? Not 10?? I don't know why I even want to try. I usually don't get a positive til 12dpo anyway!!! If we can do the symptom spotting instead, I am most optimistic because although all my symptoms can also just be before AF, I have sore boobs!!! Which I never have before AF! I am sooo hoping that it's because of a pregnancy rather than some new annoying PMS thing I've gotten.... You all are like so hardcore to resist testing! But realistically aren't you not meant to get symptoms until you're also able to get a BFP?

Katybear123 · 05/06/2014 19:34

Ah thanks lady flower I am going to do a little hope dance :-). No poas till next week for me. X

ladyflower23 · 05/06/2014 19:16

Remember if you get the urge to POAS early you have to post here and a member of the support team will talk you out of it!! I like your POAS jar idea pinpan. Can the proceeds be used for wine as well as chocolate?
Welcome katybear. Your symptoms sound promising to me!

Katybear123 · 05/06/2014 16:44

Hi guys can I join you I'm in 2ww, due af on 9th. Trying not to symptom spot but I to have sore nipples v odd not had that before and last weekend I went completely off booze. Am praying I might be lucky as this is 1st month ttc, after being on pill for 15yrs! Not getting hopes up but defo waiting till after af due. Having a v tough time at work right now but can't leave due to ttc and therefore potentially losing mat leave, so feeling a bit trapped therefore worried if I get a negative I might b v down. Anyway trying to stay optimising but realistic this is my plan :-)

CatRen27 · 05/06/2014 14:33

Yes pinpan! I like it!

GandTnow · 05/06/2014 13:56

Well said pinpan! Had to run to the toilet this morning so I didn't stop off to get a stick to wee on! 7dpo and counting! Grin

pinpan · 05/06/2014 13:53

Stop testing, people! We need the POAS-equivalent of a swear jar. Anyone testing before 12 dpo at the earliest puts in a pound, and the proceeds are used to buy chocolate for anyone getting a BFN (only redeemable for tests taken late enough that they actually mean something ). X

CatRen27 · 05/06/2014 12:54

I'm either spotting or af is 9 days early. Hrmm. Sorry to hear you guys caved. We're not doing a very good job of the old poas anonymous support!

RedBunny · 05/06/2014 12:46

Sigh. I totally tested too. Got home from my driving lesson and my pack of 50(!) cheapie tests had arrived. Negative. Of course. It's far too early. I just feel like I've tried so hard to get pregnant I surely have to be this time!!! I got pregnant right away when we started trying last year, and after the miscarriage I ovulated and got pregnant again within two weeks. After that one (mmc) it took ages to get back to normal and I've had two periods since. I've been trying but it didn't happen. Especially as I wanted to start trying months before my husband let us I'm really frustrated! I'm just being impatient aren't i? As soon as I get a bfp I'm going to be really impatient to see if it gets further than the last two times. Should I not be testing do you think? Am I making myself worse??

newbie6 · 05/06/2014 10:53

I gave in, am 6 or 7dpo so what was I expecting??? Negative result, not testing again till Sunday! X

teejayem · 05/06/2014 10:50

I think AF is due late next week, the problem is I have no idea how long I cycle for anymore as last AF was my first proper post - Cerazette one. I'm just going on the CB Smilies, guesswork and the Ovia app. I've got it narrowed down to either (lol) 7 or 4 dpo and AF sometime around 11th or 14th.... In the meantime I have a bit of an upset stomach, felt a bit sicky and dizzy on the tube yesterday and in the car this morning, a bit stroppy, and my Nipples felt a bit odd in the shower this morning. Ho hum! Will probably have to sit on my hands to not start testing at the weekend. :(

RedBunny · 05/06/2014 08:24

Yes I was the same- with my daughter I thought it would take ages and I tested on the day my period was due just because it used to turn up on time even to the hour and hadn't. And then I got a faint positive and had no idea a line was a line so thought "it must be wrong" tried again the next day, same, thought that was wrong too. Bought a two pack of clearblue digital. Said pregnant. Thought it must be wrong. Next day did it again and still said pregnant. Then I thought it probably was true and told my husband! Just couldn't believe my luck getting pregnant so easily.

ladyflower23 · 05/06/2014 08:13

Ooh I've never heard of the saliva symptom, no doubt I will start getting it now that I know about it!
I had sort of had the same with my first, we were trying, but I had read it would take at least 6 months, so wasn't even counting days or anything then boobs started hurting so did a test and was +. Oh how I miss those happy, non-obsessive, carefree days!

pinpan · 05/06/2014 08:07

Lots of saliva IS a symptom - when I was pregnant with DD I used to wake up in the morning with my pillow soaked with drool. ShockGrin I'm feeling a bit slobbery too. With DD I didn't test until about 4 days after I probably should have had AF, and because I am irregular I had lost count of days (we were more not trying not to than really trying, iyswim, because we assumed it would take a while and then it luckily didn't). I was already unbelievably knackered and had boobs like water balloons, so really I should have known. I don't know why I'm so much more obsessed this time round!

I am well up for testing on Father's Day, though I am pretty sure it will still be too early for me to get a BFP even if I am. But you know, if you all are I don't want to miss out on the fun. I get to do it first though, coz I'm in NZ and I've got 11 hours on you all. Wink Ooooh, but I really should wait a few days longer. Argh! I'll wait and see how positive I'm feeling...
