Newbie that's how it is for me- I got pregnant with my daughter six weeks after coming off the pill. Then when we started ttc no2 conceived first month of trying but had a miscarriage, conceived two weeks after that but had another. Now I'm heading to cycle 5 since. Don't know what's happened, it feels like it's taking ages now. I totally get how you feel. It seems odd.

newbie6 · 13/07/2014 19:32

Hi lady flower, trying for 3 months which I know isn't long it's just that I got pregnant twice before first time although one ended in a MC at 6 weeks. Did everything the same as we are doing now but no joy as yet, hopefully next month! X no sign of AF yet but not tearing again till Wed as sure AF should be here by Tues.

X

Next day. Not best day....!!!

RedBunny · 13/07/2014 09:52

My husband was a bit weirded out by all this opk/ monitor stuff to start with. I had to explain it all to him.
Though back when we got together he thought that having sex any time as long as you're not on your period could get you pregnant and you'd be instantly pregnant and could find out by testing the best day..... Confused

pinpan · 13/07/2014 09:39

(And yep, just waiting now, though if there's nothing by Friday I will test again.)

pinpan · 13/07/2014 09:38

Yep, before we get to 1000 I think. Probably tomorrow!

My cycle used to be closer to 28 days and the recent three lots of 23-25 was a bit of a shock, so maybe it's just gone back to longer and that's why I'm not feeling like it's coming yet (on CD24 I think). That would also mean I OVed later and thus probably missed it with the DTD. Hey ho. Still only 3 cycles down, so I should wait at least another 3 before I get frustrated, and another 3 after that before I get angry, right? Wink

I'm sold by your monitor review RedBunny! I'd have to get it on the sly though, DH would NOT understand. Grin

ladyflower23 · 13/07/2014 08:17

I meant when do we have to start a new thread? Is it when we get to a certain number of posts?

ladyflower23 · 13/07/2014 08:15

Morning all. That's good news you are ovulating newbie. How long have you been trying for? Sorry about the BFN Pinpan. I'm still planning to test Fri but think I will get AF before then. Have really sore boobs but to early for that to be a SYMPTOM. Means I have to accept that I do get Pms now and stop blaming it on the pregnacare conceive vits as didn't take them this month.anyway not holding out much hope for this month due to lack of shagging. When do you have to start a new post? Yes we have to be poas annonymous!!

RedBunny · 13/07/2014 08:10

Sorry I just realised I wrote like a review there that nobody asked for!! Haha.
Oops.

RedBunny · 13/07/2014 08:09

Pinpan, are you just waiting til AF shows up now? You said you didn't feel like it was coming. Which is exciting.
It's good to know that people are getting good results back from their tests at doctors.
I used my clearblue fertility monitor today for anyone interested, you turn it on everyday to check if it wants you to use a test stick and it starts asking from day 6 first time to learn your cycle. Then you get a low, high or peak fertility so I think it's much like using the dual hormone opk, but my thinking is this will actually end up cheaper, as the dual hormone opks even on eBay are £18 and my monitor was £30 and you can get spare sticks for £11.50, so I figure long term the monitor is cheaper especially as I am going to have another baby as well after this one and if I'm pregnant when my friend ttc in a couple months I will lend it to her.

pinpan · 13/07/2014 04:15

On the plus side, we're going to need a new thread soon, which means we have to choose a new name! I vote for POAS Anonymous. Grin

newbie6 · 12/07/2014 21:06

Sorry to hear that pinpan,I'm in the same boat and it sucks! Xx

pinpan · 12/07/2014 20:34

BFN. Sad AF due tomorrow, though it doesn't feel like it yet. Doubt we'll get anywhere this next cycle either, coz we'll be in the middle of moving house right when it matters. Sad

newbie6 · 12/07/2014 19:01

Hi happily, I just called doc and they told me test was normal and confirmed recent ovulation.

Good luck x

RedBunny · 12/07/2014 16:25

Wishing terry a speedy recovery. But I know losing any pregnancy is very hard however early.

Ooh excited for pinpan to test! And also MrsR soon! AF is finished again so waiting now to ovulate again. I hate waiting. But SURELY this month has got to be my month!! I feel like I've been waiting so long now!

HappilyMrsR · 12/07/2014 12:06

I know, I know..! What was I thinking?! AF due tomorrow or Mon so I just need a distraction until then. So hard! Pretty sure I'm out actually but it's not over til it's over. This TTC malarkey sure is hard work!

pinpan · 12/07/2014 10:49

Oooh HappilyMrsR, a 10 dpo testing, I'm not sure we can allow that. Wink I think I am going to do a FRER tomorrow, think it will be 13 dpo. Gearing up for a BFN just in case. I would have caved today, but I drank two cups of tea before I got to the bathroom so it would have been pretty dilute by then!

HappilyMrsR · 12/07/2014 10:42

Terry I hope you make a speedy recovery - just checked this thread after a few days away and was shocked to read what has happened. You sound positive though, keep it up!

Newbie good news about your progesterone results, can I ask if they called you or do you go in to speak to the doctor? I called my gp surgery on Thursday and they had my blood results in but they hadn't yet been reviewed by anyone so not sure if I'm waiting on a call or an appointment... I always get positive opks but a friend did too but after a test at the doctors was told it was false results as she actually had v low hormone levels. Worrying!

Ps poas yday - bfn. 10 dpo.

ladyflower23 · 11/07/2014 21:59

Terrys thank you for letting us know and I'm really sorry you had to go through this. I hope you feel better soon and and are getting lots of support x

pinpan · 11/07/2014 20:14

Hugs Terry, that sounds tough. Brew

TerrysNo2 · 11/07/2014 20:08

hi all, I had the surgery this morning and they removed the pregnancy and the left tube. I am a bit sore and wiped out from the general but I'll be fine. Doc says we can try again after my next period but I'm going to just wait until I feel ready.

In looking forward to watching you all get your BFPs!

newbie6 · 11/07/2014 15:55

So sorry Terry, thinking of you x

Well I'm out as POAS today at 12dpo with FRER and BFN! Got result back from doc to confirm I am ovulating so guess that's some good news. Good luck everyone! X

RedBunny · 11/07/2014 10:03

I hope things are going ok terry. Thanks
How is everyone else doing?

ladyflower23 · 10/07/2014 18:38

Terry so so sorry. Really wasn't expecting to hear that. Im glad that at least you seem to have found out quite early before any bad pain. Big hugs x

TerrysNo2 · 10/07/2014 13:37

thanks guys, I'm trying to be pragmatic about it, I didn't expect to conceive this quickly, I have 2 amazing children already and I am only 32 so plenty of time ahead of me but of course I'm really sad anyway.

Just want to know what's going to happen now as the methotrexate and surgery both seem scary.
