Good luck to everyone poas tomorrow, I'll be waiting at least another week as af should be due on 22/23rd and we are away! So I won't be tempted to poas earlier!

AngelsInWinter · 12/06/2014 22:34

But Lady, if you've had a 30 day cycle then you COULD be due on today? Right??

ladyflower23 · 12/06/2014 22:26

Oh freaking hell. Just realized that if I'm on day 30 today then AF is actually due tomorrow not today!! Crushed!!!!!!!!!!! I've got to go through knicker alert again tomorrow now Sad still planning to join in the pissathon at 8pm if I make it till then.

Hey guys sorry been away crazy busy, this is day 32 of cycle going to do very first test tomoz, I don't think I'm preg but really hoping if not my cycles are mad, which is very possible as have been on pill for 17 yrs so I guess it might take some time. I have all crossed but all the sore nipples and metalic taste have disappeared so not convinced :-(

ladyflower23 · 12/06/2014 21:05

Angels this is my third cycle off pill. First cycle 31 days and 2nd cycle 30. Today is day 30 so realistically could still come tomorrow...but it better not because I wanna party!!

Hibou7688 · 12/06/2014 20:18

Stopped the pill a year ago! Cycles have been really regular! Whatever it is, it's annoying when our bodies throw these curveballs!!

AngelsInWinter · 12/06/2014 20:06

Fruity, I was very shocked to be pregnant so soon! Doesn't look like it's happening again though...

Hibou have you recently come off birth control or anything? It could be a v early period. Or an implantation bleed. Or just a one off crazy cycle!! This not knowing business is the worst thing about ttc. Hope you get a good result xx

Hibou7688 · 12/06/2014 19:52

P.s. I sometimes get this for a day before af arrives in full force. Never had it for this long!! I'm probably 10/11 dpo

Hibou7688 · 12/06/2014 19:51

Sorry if this is tmi but it's doing my head in... hope someone has had experience of it! Why am I on day 5 of a browny discharge?! Getting some when I wipe! Not expecting af for another week!

Fruityb · 12/06/2014 19:47

Gosh lol. It took five weeks for my first visit from AF which was all of two days and then fallen into a 24-26 day cycle since then.

It's scary biscuits this lol

AngelsInWinter · 12/06/2014 19:28

Noooo fruity!

Basically I finished my pill on May 13th and had withdrawal bleed on May 16th. Been dtd between then and Friday 6th. So could have conceived any time really!

With my first DD I'd already conceived at this point of coming off the pill hence why I'm testing now xx

Fruityb · 12/06/2014 18:57

Are you testing 7 days early? You're bonkers lol

AngelsInWinter · 12/06/2014 18:50

I think you are, fruity!

And ooh, Lady, she stayed away! Has this happened before?

I've got about 7 pee sticks in the cupboard so I'm going to do one tomorrow (will definitely be a BFN. Not even a hint of a line this morning!), tomorrow, and the rest next week Grin not that I'm obsessed or anything...

June 21st will be the last time I could potentially get a BFP as it'll be 15 days since dtd.

This is so weird because DP's sister is currently in labour...

Good luck to everyone else at the party tomorrow, can't wait to see you there xxx

Fruityb · 12/06/2014 18:45

Possibly, I've never been this late before and I think it's time. I'm feeling really dizzy all the time, my tits feel huge and I'm just well out of sorts.

I'm so hoping I get good news!

ladyflower23 · 12/06/2014 18:23

Evening all! Sorry to hear that AF got you too zoo. So far she's stayed away from me. Have had more trips than usual to the loo today and all have been anxious. Am very much holding out hope that I will make it to the POAS party. I am very excited that tomorrow is nearly here and cannot wait to see who's pissed before breakfast Grin
Is that a hint that you might be dropping in to the party fruity?!
I am so tempted to crack and get pissed now it's unreal!!

Fruityb · 12/06/2014 17:33

Oh and last month I tried boots ovulation tests but still went and bought clearblue instead. I know the clearblue work as I can feel ovulation the day after I've gotten my positive, and they are easy to read as in for me the lines do get darker the closer I get to it. But the boots ones lines were just never so clear.

RedBunny · 12/06/2014 17:21

I've been using the clearblue opks since started trying for no2. Just the plain ones with the lines, and they work as basically when the test line is the same colour or darker than the control line, that's your positive for LH surge. And you are meant to ovulate I believe between 12-48 hours after you get that. I buy them on eBay so they are cheaper. This month however there were some of the newest 'dual hormone detector' ones for almost the same price so I have bought them to try. They are meant to be useful because they tell you when your oestrogen is high which is meant to be 2-4 days before your LH surge. So basically you get more warning that you're going to ovulate soon I guess. Good for knowing which days to DTD every day.

blankfornames · 12/06/2014 17:07

Hi Zoobaby, I hope I can shed a little light on the opk situation! This month I bought cheapie opks in a pharmacy (possibly cheaper online). Once I got a positive on it, I used a clearblue digi opk, just to make sure. On top of that my sister gave me a Clearblue Fertility Monitor and it tells you exactly when to test. I've been using it for this cycle and it gave me 5 days of high fertility, then 2 days peak, one day high and then lows. They are expensive and I'll know in about 14 hours if worth it (FX) but I like the fact that you don't have to think about anything, only pee on a stick when it tells you. You pop the stick into the monitor and your fertility comes up 5 mins later.
Hope that helps!

AngelsInWinter · 12/06/2014 14:10

I hope it is Redbunny! I'll be with you. Feel a bit more optimistic, too. Today is gorgeous and sunny, the World Cup is starting tonight, I've had a lovely day with DP and our 18 month old. Got more tests than I originally thought so I'm going to be silly and test tomorrow, Saturday and next week too (if no AF!).

Sorry AF turned up today, zoo. Next month you might get a March/April baby when the weather will hopefully be much nicer!

As for opks, I've never used them. Just dtd every day/every two days from the end of AF and that's worked.

zoobaby · 12/06/2014 14:06

Ok, so in prep for next cycle, can anyone shed some light on OPKs? Never looked before but what the heck hey? Had a quick browse and some need monitors (do you poas then insert in monitor for reading or something like that?) and others are self contained (kind of like a preg test).

Is this right ? Think I'd opt for the self contained ones. I'm guessing they might not be as accurate or limited?

Can anyone shed any light on the cost of these things? Sorry I know I can google this info but can't right now and thought it'd be good to get feedback on usability as well.

RedBunny · 12/06/2014 12:40

Ah so many AFs turning up today!! Annoying. Anyhow I am optimistic for this coming month! It's got to be time I got a baby. I've been waiting ages. This cycle will be the one!

zoobaby · 12/06/2014 12:22

Bloody (literally and figuratively) AF. Nah well, at least I know. Must have misjudged timing of ovulation. Or maybe it was that last day of missed SWI due to DP's work. DP will have strict instructions for next time. We'll see.
