The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Hey barking Glad that your DH is looking after you well. You're being so brave.

rain and tiger Get well soon! Tiger I'm supporting Italy too now although it's not looking good for them either.

bushy Loving that quote!

otters I'm tempted to have a few drinks too, let's be irresponsible together.

lumen Great news from your scan, I hope all goes well on Monday!

Even though I had my EC recently I'm struggling to think of advice! Wear some comfy clothes (no tight waistbands) as your tummy will probably be a bit sore afterwards. They should give you a prescription for painkillers but if not, stock up on ibuprofen. You can also take paracetamol as well if you need to. They gave me an ibuprufen before the procedure so I wouldn't have pain when I came round (though it was a bit of a shock that I had to put it up there Sorry if TMI but I would rather have been forewarned!) If you are susceptible to nausea the anaethesist can give you something for that as well. Drink lots of fluids and have a hot water bottle at the ready for when you get home. Also maybe pack a snack and a drink for the way home as you will probably be hungry after going in with an empty stomach.

Sorry if I got you worried about OHSS (saw you asked about it yesterday). I have PCO so was at high risk of it anyway. It really wasn't that bad, just quite uncomfortable for a few days.

Have you got some time after booked off work, sorry I can't remember! Enjoy the injection free day on Sunday, that was quite a highlight for me!

barkingtreefrog · 20/06/2014 20:41

One of my lovely friends has offered me company. If I can manage it I might go for a dog walk tomorrow. I realised that I didn't start bleeding until I got out of bed. I've been lying on the sofa since and not had much more. If walking around will get it all out quicker I'm all up for trying.

With all the scan news on this thread we've whizzed through almost all the posts in less than a month. If you need to update your stats get them in now and I'll do any updating that needs doing on the list before the new thread. Might as well make myself useful while I hide away and avoid the world!

Hope everyone feels healthy for the weekend, looks like gorgeous weather. Smile

Grrr, new iPhone and lots of typos! That should be lurgy not purge and TTC not FTC!

OttersPocket · 20/06/2014 19:50

batking I'm glad your DP is being supportive. It's such a different experience for men, it's difficult to understand their perspective. Stay strong my love.

Urgh to both purge and upduffed news rain. It always knocks me for six when yet another bloody person gets pregnant, sometimes I can't believe I've been trying for so fucking long.

Good luck for your trigger on Sat lumen, the other berries will give you good advice I'm sure.

bushy that was a really lovely quote. Sums up this long shitty FTC journey very well. We beat yourselves up but forget how brave we actually are.

Hope you also feel soon tiger.

Do you know how long the waiting list is for IVF where you are rosie? I had this stupid idea that because I've been in the fertility clinic for 1.5 years and trying for 2.5 years I might get bumped up the list. That was foolish. It's a 12 month wait for us now Sad

Well it's 4dpo for me on round 11 of Clomid and I thought fuck it, I'm going to drink lots of gin tonight. Irresponsible? Probably. But I'm feeling pretty resigned to not getting and keeping a pregnancy now.

FeatherFeather11 · 20/06/2014 19:39

barking as rain said, I hope what's happening is as quick and physically painless as possible. It sounds like you oh is really looking after you, which is so lovely.

lumen that's such brilliant news. So pleased for you and hope Monday goes well.

tiger and rain hope you're both on the mend soon. Dehydration sachets are good to replenish with. And yes, it does fucking suck.

seren hope things sort themselves out for you soon. Sounds very stressful.

lumen · 20/06/2014 19:02

rain and tiger hope you are both recovered from whatever bug you have caught. At least it is now the weekend.

I am due in for EC first thing Mon morning, trigger shot Sat night and drug free day Sun.

Any advise bushy and chloe on EC after your recent ones?

RevoltingPeasant · 20/06/2014 18:56

Oh Batking. This too shall pass. Then you are in for your great break out attempt in Sept.

Tiger, sorry to hear that! How nasty. Drink lots of water and take it easy.

RosieintheAlps · 20/06/2014 18:49

Batking, you're still my superhero. Sending you lots of positive vibes and will be thinking of you. I really hope the physical side of things goes quickly for you.

Seren, sorry to hear you're having such a hard time. Hope you'll ace your exams in October.

rain and tiger, I hope you'll feel better soon. About to board plane to come back home.

Saw the match yesterday. It wasn't the best. There is a tiny hope left, I think... I've got Switzerland in the sweepstake so will see how they get on tonight.

tigerdog · 20/06/2014 18:34

barking hope you're doing ok.

rain sorry to hear you're feeling gross. Me too as it happens, I felt icky all day and then about 4ish started to feel dire - shivers, headache and a dodgy tum. Blurgh. OH is insisting I eat something but think my dinner will be going to the dog! No fair to have to deal with pg news on top of that though. It does fucking suck!

rp how's your sickness?

TheRainDrops · 20/06/2014 17:45

barking I hope the physical aspects are over and done with quickly for you! feeling like shit is just further salt in the wound. Will be thinking of you lots this weekend.

lumen good news on your follies, how are you feeling?

serenity sorry you're having such a tough time at the moment, you're being very strong in the circumstances.

tally package received today! thank you again

I've been off work today with some sort of stomach bug. Have not ventured far from bed/toilet all day. Feel pretty gross. I managed to get through a pre-planned dinner with a friend of mine who MCed same time as me, and she's now 12 weeks pg. happy for her, but the usual conflicted feelings were there, topped off by just now (stupidly) going on to FB to see that an old Uni mate is due her 2nd in a month.
She has conceived and (will have) had 2 kids since we started ttc. Fucking sucks.

lumen · 20/06/2014 17:31

Your dh sounds lovely barking, you are very lucky. Hope you are feeling a bit better x

barkingtreefrog · 20/06/2014 17:16

I'm OK at the moment rp, DH was sent out for supplies and came back with everything I asked for (including the correct sanitary towels) plus a big bag of chocolate as well. Just trying to dig in and not think about the lovely weekend I had planned to try and take my mind off this shit Angry .

OP posts:
RevoltingPeasant · 20/06/2014 17:12

Oh barking Virtual hugs. That is rotten, rotten, rotten.

Have you stopped feeling ill yet? Have you got some decent painkillers? See if DH can go to the pharmacy for you and ask for the strongest thing they can prescribe.

Have you got a box set you can lose yourself in?

barkingtreefrog · 20/06/2014 16:04

DH came home with tonic water and tiger bread (wheat is the least of my worries right now) and I felt more human so got out of bed to have a bath. The bleeding started. So that's me on the sofa with a wheat bag and painkillers for the foreseeable future. On such a lovely weekend too Sad .

OP posts:
barkingtreefrog · 20/06/2014 10:42

You can only get same day appointments if you redial endlessly when phone lines open first thing. I'd have to go to a walk in centre and to be honest I'd rather not have to leave the house as I haven't even made it out of bed to lie on the sofa and watch shit TV yet.

OP posts:
lumen · 20/06/2014 10:27

barking I agree with rp, get medicated. No point in suffering more than you have to.

RevoltingPeasant · 20/06/2014 09:30

Oh yes, lumen good news.

RevoltingPeasant · 20/06/2014 09:30

Barking can you go to your GP and get drugs to combat the nausea? I had some after my kidney surgery when the meds I was on made me feel ill. There is no 'point' to you feeling this and it might make things better.

I don't know if you feel like it but I think in your shoes I'd make an emergency GP appt and say you need all the help you can get.

Flowers don't beat yourself up if your body is struggling. I am thinking of you.

barkingtreefrog · 20/06/2014 09:19

bushy that's a lovely quote.
lumen all sounding very positive Smile

I'm feeling sick as a dog. I don't do vomiting, the extreme nausea is making me cry right now. At that stage when I want to vomit just to see if it will help.

Great news lumen fx for Monday EC!

bushy lovely quote, there is a fb page and website called positive outlooks which has lots of similar stuff if your interested. I know you don't gave fb but im sure they do a blog off their site.

barking hugs to you this morning Thanks

tigerdog · 20/06/2014 08:55

Good luck today lumen!

Try and take it easy today barking and don't beat yourself up about getting upset or doing what you need to do to feel better.

serenity sorry to hear you're having such a hard time. Is there anything you can do to help cope with the stress?

gil good luck for weds!

bushy yep the football was rubbish. At least now though I can support Italy without feeling disloyal!

nolly3 · 20/06/2014 08:55

great news lumen. you seem to have a pretty efficient FC, which is great.

barking how're you feeling this am?

lumen · 20/06/2014 08:48

Thanks berries, all good with the scan. Lining of uterus thick and ready. 10 follies in total but she was struggling to see left one. Follies ranging from 24 to 13mm and already three over 18 which is their target, so EC should be mon or tues will get call this afternoon. Was also meant to have blood taken to check hormone levels but they couldn't get a vein Hmm

Thinking of you today barking

greatbigbushybeard · 20/06/2014 08:48

This was a comment on the blog of the day

“Courage does not always roar like a lion. Sometimes it is the small voice that says ‘I will try again tomorrow’.

greatbigbushybeard · 20/06/2014 07:34

Horrible when you can't sleep and thoughts keep processing and dh's are snoring away, you think it's bloody alright for you! Your friend sounds somewhat confused but maybe a genuine question. Re your mum I think people find it hard to know what to say and how to be a comfort so they stay away or stay silent which is quite hurtful. Sorry you're going through this but remember feather's mantra, your time will come and will be all the more sweeter for it.

Had my own sleepless night worrying about work.

Good luck with the follies lumen

Loads of you in September with Ivf etc, that will be so nice to go through together, lots of advice and sharing. I can't remember if it was lumen or someone else asking about twinges when stimming. I became really bloated and yes there were odd twinges, remember there's a lot going on in your body so is perfectly normal. I got a lot if headaches so keep downing the water!!

Anyone watch the footy last night? Rubbish!!
