Morning ladies!! I was hunting around for a recent thread for anyone TTC with a CBFM but couldn't find any - please let me know if one is ongoing that I didn't find!! But otherwise I wanted a place to share experiences with other ladies using this rather interesting gadget. It makes big claims for success!!

About me - I'm TTC baby #1, cycle #3, expecting AF or BFP on 2-12 June.

I'm still having slightly long cycles after stopping the pill - this is my first cycle using the monitor properly, because my last cycle went on for 40 days, and the machine got bored and stopped asking for sticks after 25 days!!

I'm currently on CD09 and had my first day of a high reading today, although I know the machine gives out high readings like they're going out of fashion so not reading much into that! Will be kicking off the SMEP (sperm meets egg plan!) from today though anyway just to be sure.

Would love to hear from you!! Smile

got another low today so 3 more tests and i'm done it feels strange doing just 10 tests last month i used a whole box of them

Teadrinkerandatinker · 28/06/2014 23:57

CD9 low
CD10 low
CD11 low
CD12 OV GrinGrin
CD13 OV GrinGrin
CD14 High
I started testing on CD9 and it should ask me for 4 more tests before stopping !! So glad this month it has all clicked into place !! Been using it just over a month and last month it didnt detect ovulation at all Sad i fully recommend the Agnus Castus 1000mg 2 every 2 days worked wonders for me Smile you take them from CD1 till OV occurs if anyone is wanting to try it although they stink and taste rotten

Mel3062 · 28/06/2014 16:41

I missed highs before so at least you've got your peak :)
Day 22 for me 11 dpo monitors flashing af tues x

guineapig1 · 28/06/2014 06:51

Great news Tea! I'm sure I've read about some cycles going low to peak. Can't imagine its a problem...surely the most important thing is the "peak". Maybe you had a super fast "surge" of whatever if is that causes a peakSmile

Teadrinkerandatinker · 27/06/2014 18:08

Hi guys i got a peak the other day out of the blue and another today totally overjoyed and i had cm too so we dtd like crazy yesterday and today but just wondering why peak turned up out of nowhere has anyone else gone from low straight to peak ?? im using agnus castus which made me ovulate for the first time but didnt expect to peak so suddenly im now on tww with strict dtd till it goes back to low lol

guineapig1 · 26/06/2014 20:39

Thanks, yup agree it is much more convenient to have a peak at the weekend!

Aprilray · 26/06/2014 20:31

Good luck! We're going to try tonight and then wait for a peak - so lucky that it is likely to be at the weekend.

guineapig1 · 26/06/2014 19:25

Cd14 here according to monitor (15 in my head Wink), got first peak this rnorning after just two highs yesterday and the day before. Also got a positive opk this evening. Dh was away last night and the night before so managed to dtd on Monday night ( just before first high) and am hoping to try again tonight, tomorrow morning and tomorrow night...phew.

Mel3062 · 26/06/2014 16:21

Super news perfect timing ;)

Aprilray · 26/06/2014 10:11

CD16 and finally got a high reading, was so happy - think I ovulate around CD18 so seems about right and hopefully will get my peak over the weekend!

Aprilray · 25/06/2014 09:59

Yes, I read that too. I'm sure it keeps asking for sticks so we have to buy more!! I have just had to order some more off Amazon as I am on my 15th day of low readings and don't want to run out...trying to reassure myself by the fact that it is my first cycle and is getting to know me (and also doing incessant googling- some people have gone straight from low to peak!)

Mel3062 · 25/06/2014 01:48

That's what I thought too guinea!x

guineapig1 · 24/06/2014 20:59

Sounds fine Mel, I think I've read somewhere that once you hit your first peak day then the monitor automatically gives you another peak then one more high before bask to low.

Mel3062 · 24/06/2014 18:06

I got 2 peaks and them high so stopped testing when I got a low on day 13 hope that's ok, it's still asking for them! At least I won't need more next month!

Mel3062 · 24/06/2014 17:57

Hi ladies day 18 today, peak positive on moniter day 10 which matched others so fingers crossed!

Aprilray · 24/06/2014 12:32

Ha ha - we are usually like that too. Spent 4 cycles aiming for CD14/15 as I had a regular 28-30 day cycle (though it has got a bit longer since ttc which is annoying) so had given up by CD16! We are saving ourselves this month - fx

guineapig1 · 24/06/2014 10:19

Hi Aprilray, last month I had 6 highs from CD 9-14, then two peaks at 15 and 16 then another high and back to low. This is my second month using the monitor. Have been testing from day 8 and just got my first high this morning at CD 12 (though in my head it is in fact CD13, the monitor counts it as CD12 as AF started after midday). I am thinking that if the monitor is right and I get peaks at 15 and 16 this month again that I actually ovulate a bit later than I had thought ( it would be cd17 in my head by the time ovulation happens according to the monitor and I've normally given up too knackered and run out of steam by then!

Aprilray · 24/06/2014 09:49

Hi Guineapig I'm glad someone else is still posting here. I am on my first cycle of using my CBFM. On CD14 and was hoping to finally get a high but it is still low! From temping the last few months I think I ovulate around CD18 so hopefully I will get a high soon. How many highs did you get last month before peak?

guineapig1 · 24/06/2014 07:18

How is everyone here getting on? CD12 today here and just had first high which is 3days later than last cycle. Hoping that this means that ov will happen Friday/Saturday which is good timing dtd wise!

Weethree · 18/06/2014 16:07

Thanks April I will have a look.

Well the clomid does give me a cycle between those dates but i wondered if the hormones interfered or something?

Aprilray · 18/06/2014 14:00

Hi Weethree I got mine on Amazon- just type Clear Blue Fertility Monitor into the search bar - the test sticks come separately.
I've got no idea re the clomid point I'm afraid...it does say that it is for people with cycles between 21 and 42 days.

Weethree · 18/06/2014 13:50

Hi All Smile
I was wondering if I could ask a couple of questions about the CBFM. Please?

I am about to start clomid as I do not ovulate without it and it will put me onto a regular cycle (hopefully) can I use the monitor whilst using clomid? Will it give accurate results?

Also can someone link me to where is the best best place to buy one and what is looks like as I don't have a clue!

Many thanks

ChristinaYang · 17/06/2014 22:30

8DPO today and I'm trying my hardest not to symptom spot (but I am...Smile). Nausea when hungry, very tired!

Anyone else having "symptoms"? I swore I was pregnant last month as I felt nausea a few times but alas it was my mind/body playing tricks on me Hmm

Mel3062 · 17/06/2014 04:42

Ha ha! Luckily he's not away until tomorrow night ;)

guineapig1 · 16/06/2014 20:10

Sounds good Mel, get busy! CD4 here on the monitor so trying to catch up on some sleep ready for next weeks marathonWink
Have also ordered a pile of internet cheapy opks so will be adopting a highly scientific approach this month... Think it is poor DH who will feel like a guineapig!
