Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

Good luck with the appointment Uki, don't feel intimidated and make sure you come away feeling in control . Funny, I am the opposite re doctors, the kindest doctors I have ever known have been men and my experience of females has been the total opposite! Sorry to hear about the miscarriages, horrible and sad for you I hope you get lucky soon. I have been posting on MN since the end of June and I don't think we've met before tell me your story!

Uki · 11/09/2006 10:24

Hi all
Hi Mrsmc, i think i am a 14-16 kinda girl. i haven't my diary to check. I've never had cycle buddy before

Tomorrow i have an appointment with a specialist about my m/c's, he is a professor -i hope he is not intimidating!!!! i have to admit I am sexist and normally prefer female drs.

hope you all have a good day

MrsMcJnr · 11/09/2006 09:37

Good Morning ladies, can I join you? AF arrived on Sat, a day early with no symptoms at all until that morning when I felt horrific. I really thought we had done it this month but it was not to be. Here's to a lucky October for one and all! This is our 4th month trying now so hopefully my body will have sorted itself out in time for OV this month. CD3 today and should ovulate sometime between 24th & 26th (when I am away on a hen weekend ]

Babymad - good luck with the test results today!

Nice to see some familiar names on here, will be good to chat to you all again . Also nice to meet all the new ladies, hello girls! Uki, I think you are my cycle buddy! when do you expect to ovulate? I seem to be a CD16 - 18 girl myself!

How are you all today?

rubles · 11/09/2006 08:31

Good morning everyone, it seems like AF has arrived for a few people now. My computer is not working at home, so I am limited to work time MN.

Rachelrose - the cough medecine is meant to thin all the mucous in your body, so it will make the CM easier to swim through.

Babymad - I hope it's not PCOS for you.

Babymad4num3 · 10/09/2006 21:20

just glad to be of help

RachelRose · 10/09/2006 20:32

Here you go

Babymad4num3 · 10/09/2006 16:50

RachelRose go to this website it will also tel you at you need to know about identifying fertile days!

Here you go

RachelRose · 10/09/2006 14:00

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense Edie - Thanks!

edie123 · 10/09/2006 13:59

Rachel Rose

You could test CM as it's consistency changes when you ovulate, can't remember details without looking in my book called Getting Pregnant. But you could just buy an OV kit which tells you when you ovulate anyway. That's all the mucous test will tell you and to be honest if you do an OV kit then you can test your mucous at same time and then subsequent months you will have a better idea of how it should be as you will know from the time you did the OV kit too, does that make sense?

RachelRose · 10/09/2006 13:21

Afternoon ladies,

Can I ask for the details on how to monitor CM and what it all means. I know I saw something on one of the threads that gave a summary of it all, but I can't find it again. Any help would be great - Its amazing, I feel like a TTC novice at the age of 34!!!

Babymad4num3 · 10/09/2006 10:43

Mad4girls I'm buying some OV-test today let me know if you want any and how many! See ya l8er chick!

Babymad4num3 · 10/09/2006 10:29

Morning everyone and welcome any newbie's your very welcome in here!

CD3 of cycle 15 I hoped it would happen for me sooner than it has but oh well, Blood test results tomorrow see if I've been OVing and/or weather I have this dam PCOS, But other than that nothing to report, woke up this morning feeling unwell so all I need! Still doing temp going to start using ov-test on CD5 as last cycle I got a pos on CD7 don't know what's going on there!

Mad4girls how are you today, how is that temp "thing" going, or have you started the new one!? Hope you are okay didn't get to talk to you yesterday, Dh dragged me off to in-law's, joys!

RachelRose I don't know weather they are worth the money these persona kits/things as I've never had one myself, doctor did tell not to bother with them she said there was a waste of money, but people do like using them and also help's most people, so I don't really know there is a tread on them on here somewhere, maybe it's worth a read! I use just plain OV-test-stick I buy them off ebay a normally pay between £5 and £7 for 10, I also check CM, CP and temp, since doing all these things I felt more in control!

Uki so sorry about your M/C your very Welcome in here!

Morning Natty1806 so sorry your AF came, yes I felt the same this time body and head, I think for me it's feeling in control with it now! Where as before cycle came and went and just so sad, now I think I've got the information when I OVed last month I'll use it for this month, so each time I will feeling like, yes AF is here but I've got more information for the next, Iyswim!

Uki · 10/09/2006 09:53

Would love it if i had a cycle buddy so if anyone else AF arrived today would be nice to team up. LOl

Hi Folks. This is really weird. For dd it sort of happened by accident, but not really.... We have decided to try for number 2 but we are 'stabbing' in the dark no pun intended.

I haven't had a period for 17 months. I am still breastfeeding so might not actually be ovulating! Anyway we are having fun trying. Don't suppose there is anybody else mad enough to be in the same situation as me?

RachelRose · 09/09/2006 21:52

Hi Vix5 - sounds like you are in the same boat as me - previously had quick pregnancies but not this time (although I know 3 months isn't long from what I've seen here). I've learnt so much from this site - thanks for your tip!

vix5 · 09/09/2006 21:14

Hello all am a newbie. Have been TTC for 3 months not long but the others happened so quick.I do have a tip,if your cycle is regular just count 14 days back from the first day of your period. The only thing to be relied on in your cycle is that exactly 14 after you ovulate you will get your period. Its the bit before you ovulate that can vary and make our cycles differ.I have long cycle 40 plus days and am waiting for wednesday before i can do a test!

RachelRose · 09/09/2006 21:08

Hi, Can someone remind me what cough syrup does, and when it should be taken to do what it needs to do... Had a good fun day today - saw a couple of mates who have got a 4 week and a 5 week old. They were very very cute. Fingers crossed!!!

mad4girls · 09/09/2006 20:01

hi RachelRose and morning babymad and others

hope were all ok this morning been bored today hoping to get some BDing in tonight have bought strawberries and evrything to try to seduce my DP

wish me luck also started cough medicine and ov testing today (fingers crossed)no sign of ov yet though willl keep you posted

RachelRose · 09/09/2006 16:00

Hi, dont mind you asking at all Babymad... Been trying for 3 months which I know is not long compared to some, but all other pregnancies happened really quick. This is the first time I'm monitoring my cycles and yet its the time thats taking the longest. I did wonder whether I was stressing myself by being so focused on it. My cycles are normally 27 or 28 days although they were really irregular until I gave birth to my son in 2004 - V strange. So, am counting the days before can try again this month but am going to use ovulation sticks for the first time to see if that makes a difference. I'd just been using the 14-day rule but have read on here that that is often mis-leading. Does anyone else use Ovu tests or persona? Do you think they are worth the money?

Hope everyone is well and enjoying a sunny weekend!

Babymad4num3 · 09/09/2006 10:30

Morning All!

Cd2 today nothing much to report, Doing lots of planning and getting advice, plus test results on Monday, feeling like Cr*p! How is everyone? Hope every one is fine and well!
Mad4girls how are you today!

NattyandThomas · 09/09/2006 00:54

hello?

Babymad4num3 · 09/09/2006 00:11

RachelRose no not crazy i did the same thing, and it's so upsetting you tell yourself "not getting my hope's up" but for some reason we still do and your very welcome in here. How long have you been TTC and how long are your cycle's if you dont mind me asking?

RachelRose · 08/09/2006 21:32

Hi all, Can I join you on here... CD1 today, same as rubles and babymad. I was really hoping this was the month because felt all the usual signs (4th pregnancy, but only one to term - DS1), but af arrived. Bugger - I think i was just imagining feeling sick because I wanted it so much! crazy eh.

Good Luck everyone - hope there's many success stories this month
