Hoping for a positive in October!

Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

Hi,

Can I join as well? This is our 2nd month of TTC. I'm 34, and we have a 20 month old DS. My cycle has gone a bit mad, used to be 30 days regularly, but for the last few months has been 23/24 days and different.
Now I can't work out when I'm meant to be OVing, if funny again this month may go to the docs to see what they say.

Morning cycle bud's!

CD7 today, temp was down, been 36.6 for 2 days then down to 36.3 this morning. Will start checking CP/CM from today as it's the only thing I can go by. Still doing the ov-test but taking it with a pinch of salt, just keeping an eye on it just to see if there is a paten to it, also if I keep note something to show Doc's!

Morning ladies. How are you all today? CD6 for me, the witch is dead and I am now watching the CM carefully, other than that, nothing to report from me.

Hope you are ok Babymad and have put the OPKs in the drawer for now.

Re CP - As I understand it, it is meant to be high and soft (like lips) around OV and low and firm (like a nose) before and after but quite frankly, I find judging what is high, low and midway quite hard but am getting better at the soft and firm and open and closed part! Just takes lots of practice and getting to know your own body better I guess.

Jennster - I don't know about the CP thing as I don't do it. I know that Trace posted on this recently. I think it was something about the cervix becoming softer and much lower around ovulation and springing up higher (and harder?) for the rest of the cycle.
Maybe someone else can help more with that, as that is all I remember.

Babymad, I agree with MrsMcJnr.
The OPKs for you are not giving you helpful clue as to when you are ovulating. In fact they are being unhelpful in that they are stressing you out, and you sound like you may be holding off the sex until you get the +opk (don't know if that's the case or not though). I reckon you might be better looking at the other signs for the moment and having regular sex.
They also must be getting a bit expensive for you if you are up to doing two in a day.

OK then. I know all about the cf, but can anybody explain about the cp? Iknow it moves about, but don't know where it is meant to be at different times of the month.

Poor you Babymad - very confusing! I think if I were you, I would ignore the OPKs and go with temps and CF and CP too if you want to. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

I've just got (late afternoon) a -opk, yesterday tuck an late morning one and got a +opk, so which one do I go by? which time do I go by? I'm so sick of these opk! should I just give up and go by temp or do both but take a opk with a pinch of salt!? And i cant help feeling, have i missed it!? if both test are right and yesterday was my last of the 3 days pos thing have i missed it? And to top it of really not with it today hope tomorrow will be a better day!

Re the frisky thing! That happened to me last month big time but I thought it was mind over matter because I knew I was ovulating! RR - just about to CAT you!

Hi everyone... CD6 and not a thing going on, but my ovu tests are sitting there waiting!

MrsMcJnr - I checked my registration and I had CAT blocked so have unblocked it - no idea how it works, but I'll maybe have a go now and see if I can send you anything. I also work in the city.. I can just imagine one of those freaky things, like you work in the same office as me. Speaking of which I am so MN-hooked that I've now started taking a sneaky peak during quiet times in the office. I hope our IT dept dont monitor our internet usage! Oh well, at least its not porn eh!

Oh I'm glad you said that Jennster!! The "feeling horny" method for predicting ovulation is the one I'm going to be using for the time being. I've always known that I get friskier at that stage in my cycle but none of my friends seem to experience this....I thought I was wierd

Not being surly honestly!

Ok so .....

DD is 8 months and figure if we start bding (cringe) now I've come off Cerazette, then we will prob conceive within 6 months. I am still bfing so not sure if I'm ovulating, as no proper af yet. Am possibly on cd3. Could tell when I was ovulating last time by cm (and don't you get hornier?)

MrsMcJur I told DH not to go for the test just yet as we are going to start BD tonight and with this test he's not allowws to BD for min of 2 days so told him to wait till 5 days before AF due! Am i doing the right thing!?
