Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

Morning October ladies, am in a very bad mood furious with DH, we're not speaking.

DH couldn't be bothered to BD last night, in spite of promises that we'd really make a go of it this month. He didn't tell me that he couldn't be bothered either, he just let me stay awake until midnight in the hope that once he'd finished his Sudouko he'd do what he'd promised but he just turned off the light and said nothing. No good night, no kiss, no cuddle, nothing. After about an hour, I was still awake and seething. I don't know if he was awake or not but I slept so badly as a result. This morning, no usual kiss and cuddle, he just called goodbye from downstairs I think one reason might be that he is preoccupied about the house. It goes on the market today and I suspect he feels as sick as I do about it. Plus the future of my job is not looking very stable. I had a really good cry in the shower this morning, there seems to be so much pressure on us at the moment from all angles. Not the best time really to TTC but then again, if we do, we'll have something so happy to think about and look forward to and it'll get us through the hard months ahead. Sorry to babble, feeling so miserable.

CD14 today, temps still low, OPKs negative - we still have time but I have a bad feeling about it as I am away on a hen for the weekend and I was really hoping that we'd give ourselves a good chance before then.

How is everyone else today?

lovelybird · 22/09/2006 10:16

morning all, I don't work Fridays so am having a sneaky 5 mins on here while DS is asleep.
How's everyone doing? No BDing for us for the past couple of days as too knackered but here's hoping for the weekend! I think I may have passed OV but am not charting yet so am not sure but have had ECWM so don't know what's going on. AF due in a week or so for a 23 day cycle or later if i'm going back to a 30 day cycle!
Charting nxt month I think as i'm confused.

Natty1806 · 22/09/2006 07:12

9.00am changing to worried face.

coggy · 21/09/2006 22:05

I have months like that...which is why I was about my chart compared to all those everyday BDers!!!!

It just doesn't happen sometimes.

What time is your appointment tomorrow?

Natty1806 · 21/09/2006 18:10

Thanks coggy, not had bd since sat so i really hope i have not oved yet, won't get chance to do it again till tomorrow so really hope these pains are them growing nice and big. Like you say at least it will give me a good understanding in months to come.

x

coggy · 21/09/2006 18:06

Babymad...I suspect they work on a bog-standard formula (which most people aren't!).

You need to put in your own data to fertility software to help it understand your cycles eg. CM, temps etc.

After 3 cycles mine works out the most fertile days based on my average length b't'n AF and ov as well as my CM notes.
HTH.

coggy · 21/09/2006 18:04

Natty......thought you were having a sly fag earliet with all that ciggy business!!!

I think you're mind will be put at rest when you go for your scan....it'll show you how big your follicles are and you can ask then roughly when they think you will ov.
That'll give you a good indication for future months too.

If your CM is still 'milky' you probably have a few days to go.
Most people have 2 - 3 days of EWCM prior to ov I believe.

Go for it now in the lead up to ov and then see what they say on Fri but I don't think you've missed it yet this month.
X

desperate2bmum · 21/09/2006 16:29

mrsmcjnr - oh dear i have been testing at the wrong time them mine are the dip in ones and i test at approx 5:30am as i have to be at work for 6amso maybe thats why i have missed the boat on ov

Babymad4num3 · 21/09/2006 15:48

ggrrrrrrrrrr Been using "ovulation calculator tool" on baby websites and all of them say I was most fertile days were 20-23 of September, when if fact as it's turned out I was most fertile at days 17-20 September! useless! Good job i dont go by them isn't it!

RachelRose · 21/09/2006 14:54

Afternoon!! Good to hear from you all. Working from home today so having a nice relaxing day . Was out last night with the girls I met in my NCT class (from DS1) and one of them told us all she was pregnant again. Really pleased for her but does anyone else have that slightly tummy churning feeling when told that? Sounds so mean, but dont mean it badly. Just wish it was us too!!!!

MrsMcJ - Aha... So maybe I've been using the wrong pee-time for testing!! Maybe that explains another negative on CD14. I'll try a little later tomorrow - just after I watch the Superdrug truck go past re-supplying them with OV tests

I know what you mean Coggy about circumstances conspiring against us at OV time. DH always seems to be on a late shift with his work when its good OV time for me!!

Really keeping fingers crossed for you this month Babymad - all sounds so good!!

Take care all!

Natty1806 · 21/09/2006 12:39

sorry coggy my typing always goes crap when i am on here.

Natty1806 · 21/09/2006 12:38

Hi babymad i am fine thanks you are sounding very positive today

Ciggy - just did my OPK and negative so does that mean even though my temp jumped up 0.2c that i have not missed the window of opportunity?

Think i will have to use my pre seed this month only cream CM at the mo, think i am having pains / twinges on my sides (trying not to think too much into it) could this be ovulation? If anyone else gets these how many days after do they normally ovulate?

Babymad4num3 · 21/09/2006 11:48

NattyandThomas I hope your little man getting better and sorted very soon! And how are you? and how is the new job going??

Babymad4num3 · 21/09/2006 11:33

Please plaese Anyone thinking about taking "Dong Quai" pleae please get as much information about it first! It's not to be used if your PG!

Babymad4num3 · 21/09/2006 11:30

Hi everyone, hope everyone is having a Fab day!
CD14 of cycle 15 today and I'm between OVed and AF, hate waiting but at least I have a Fab chance this cycle. My AF is due about 5/6 oct, temp was still up this morning, so I OVed on CD12, cant believe it went from 36.1 to 36.8 . That's me all going good, and I'm go to start swimming 2-3 days a week next week, cant wait!

MrsMcJur testing in about 10 days as some test will work, then test again 3 days later if neg! And how are you today, I had a confrontation with DH about OV, egg and stuff like that last night LOL, must be something in the air!

Desperate2bmum how are you today did you get some sleep last night? hope you did, and I hope your feeling loads better!

RachelRose are you doing a Ov test today? hope your BD is going well! I'm trying to do it every other day too, chance are very good if you do it that way, so some people have told me!

Rubles how are you? Are you still taking the DQ stuff? I found a Website about how to abort a baby with the aid of DQ, I felt sick when I read it didn't take a single one after that! I'm only taking it from AF to OV then taking Royal Jelly from OVed to AF

Coggy and Natty1806 how are you today!?

coggy · 21/09/2006 11:06

Natty....the 'missing it' thing has been an issue this month.
It seems like DH is most up for it just before AF is due....but he doesn't know anything about my cycles so it's not because he doesn't want another baby.

Always seems to be work/ course/ stress just on the important days!!!
WHY IS THAT?????!!!!!!

Maybe I'm more relaxed at the end of the month cos I know it doesn't matter if we BD or not.....but it's hard when you're SO aware of the right and wrong times isn't it? [frustated face needed now!!]

coggy · 21/09/2006 11:04

Sadly...it doesn't work like that in my house!!
Not after 75 cycles and only one BFP!!!!!!!

It now comes down to THE days....anything else is a bonus!!

nuttymum1 · 21/09/2006 11:01

morning all how are you all? i had ewcm yesterday so bd last night so fingers crossed! ladies i think we should all try to make bd fun not all about making babies althou thats what we all want! dp and me agreeed that i would stop my pill at the start of this month and we said no more about it (apart from when we had a huge bill through and dp said maybe we shouldbt ttc as we couldnt afford it but then the next day we had confermation that the re-morgage was going through so he soon changed his mind!) if your men are moaning that you only want them for making babies put on some sexy underwear nad they will be putty in your hands!!!!

DD1ofcolandgerry · 21/09/2006 10:47

Natty,

once I had a +ve ovulation test, we had daily bding last month and it worked. Dont let him out the door!!!!!!!!!!
.....they love it really

dd1

DD1ofcolandgerry · 21/09/2006 10:44

LOL Coggy. my dh calls me high maintainence, but for other reasons. Im going to start saying Im high maintainence from a bd perspective and look for his reaction. Should be funny

dd1

Natty1806 · 21/09/2006 10:43

i just have a fear at the moment that i will miss it and then it will be so disappointing at least if you have done it at all the right times you have some hope.x

coggy · 21/09/2006 10:35

How annoying is it when they 'can't be bothered'.....

I say that I'm hardly high maintainence......only need it 2 days a months!!!!!
Not that hard surely!!!???!!!!

(Obviously it's better to BD more than that....but I was trying to make a point!!! )

Natty1806 · 21/09/2006 10:33

At least you got some last night Mrs, my OH could not be bothered CD11 and tonight he is out getting drink so that is another day out my temp went up this morning by 0.2 C but no cm, have got pains (i think) so does this mean i will in a few days????? I will keep doing my OPK's in the hope that i will get a positive. Think my temp jumped because i kept waking up to go to the toilet.

Am going to use pre seed as soon as i get a OPK positive.

DD1ofcolandgerry · 21/09/2006 10:23

Mrsmcjnr,

LOL, my dh has done the same on a few occaisions, and it does soooooo make it mechanical. Im glad Im not the only one with a dh who talks about ttc while bding. Good luck with the preseed, Im now a firm believer that it works as last month when I got my bfp it was the 1st time I used it. I was on accessdiagnostics yesterday ordering some more!!! Hopefuly it will do some magic again
