Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

I am new to Mumsnet and looking for some advice. I am currently on day 34 of a usually 28-30 day cycle (although last cycle was an extremely unusual 34 days). On day 29 (early morning) I did a clearblue (not digital test) which came up very faintly positive over an hour or two. I did two boots tests over the next couple of days which were definitely negative. Today I did another clearblue which immediately produced a very, very faint blue line. So I took the test apart (I know!) and the line was a little clearer, but still faint. So am I pregnant? If so, do these faint lines mean something is wrong?

Hi RachelRose, unfortunately AF arrived this morning, have had terrible cramps all day. However there is a plus side, I sent DH out for a bottle of merlot that I'm just about to open!

RachelRose · 30/09/2006 13:58

Hi, BTW, its CD23 for me (I think although have lost count a wee bit as I dont seem to have OV'd). Nothing much to report as not much going on - am going to just relax before AF arrives and then put a plan in action for next month. Have my eye on a shiny new thermometer

RachelRose · 30/09/2006 13:54

Hi everyone, Sounds like a good idea to stop working now natty - like you said if you can't work later on then why not stop now and enjoy your pregnancy more.

Welcome Florentine, and sorry about your miscarriage in July. Here's hoping for a good month for you and you wont have to come over to the soon to be created 'postive in november' thread. Let us know how you get on with your test tomorrow.

Sounds very good for you MrsMcJ - your signs are looking pretty good. I'll be keeping fingers crossed! How have the house viewings been going?

Any news Muminthemaking? Hope AF hasn't arrived yet.

Hi to everyone else and really hope you're all having a good weekend.
x

Hi there
I am new to adding messages but have been reading them for a while and have found them really helpful and informative so thought I would now join in.

I have been trying since May and had a miscarriage in July. Am on CD27 so am going to test tomorrow morning - even though cycle usually longer. Not very hopeful though as feeling very PMT like. Having said that I have a DD who is just one and when I got pregnant with her I felt very PMT like when AF was due. Will be really disappointed if AF arrives next week. I have been charting as instructed in Toni Weschler's book but found my temperatures to be much higher than she suggests is normal.

Natty1806 · 30/09/2006 10:49

Your sounding so positive Mrs McJnr - it is looking good for you.

I decided today that i am going to be good with booze and food for the next few months but if no BFP by Christmas i am going to have a month off everything, temping MN the lot, and eat junk food when i want and drink as much as i like when i like.

bit of a negative attitude to have but i realy don't seem to be able to see myself getting pregnant.

Oh well off to the gym to take my mind of this ttc lark.

have fab weekends girls.

MrsMcJnr · 30/09/2006 10:17

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO COGGY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU - MAKE A WISH!!!!! (can it include me !)

Morning ladies, how are we all? what stage are we at? There are so many of us that I can't say hello to everyone by name so just know that I am thinking about all of you and sending you all good vibes.

5dpo, temp even higher, sore boobs and erect nipples most of the time (not usual for me!), creamy CM, runny nose and very tired and thirsty - but hey, those could mean anything so I'll try and be patient and not hope for too much. 5 days until Af due and I'll be testing although that might be too early for a BFP but if I go beyond my usual 10dpo I might not be able to stop myself!

Rubyroo & Babymad - hope you are both feeling alot better sending you big hugs.

Cutiebabies - any new symptoms? I sent a duvet to be dry cleaned and now it stinks, I can smell a sulphur like smell all round the house (not good when it is up for sale and you have people coming to view it today!) DH says he can't smell a thing but I reckon it's his nose rather than me having very mild superpowers!

Feedmenow - I hope you are ok, I can empathise with you, I live with a man you dreams about winning the lottery and giving most of it to his football team! over my dead body! If I have understood you right, you are feeling guilt for what you have done in the past, you are not alone, there are many of us who feel exactly the same, just remember that you had damn good reasons and you would not have taken them lightly. Hope the wine helpd, always does for me

Hello DD1, I've missed you! Thank you for remembering about my house . I think it is great that we share all our DH/DPs behviour as it certainly makes me feel much better about being let down, in RL it is kind of embarrasing that your DH rejects you isn't it? I'm really sorry that your DH's timing was so bad! Men!

Welcome to October Endless - think 9dpo is a little too early to test, we're all here to keep you going though! I found this, it might help you:
Positive BFP Percentages according to dpo:

  • 35% at 10dpo
  • 51% at 11dpo
  • 62% at 12dpo
  • 68% at 13dpo
  • 74% at 14dpo
  • 80% at 15dpo
  • 88% at 16dpo
  • 92% at 17dpo

Hey Natty! hope you are not coming down with cold my friend!

Cityangel - bumps are everywhere aren't they? what was going on 9 months ago? Christmas!!! Re smoky dives, we don't have them anymore in Edinburgh due to the smoking ban - it's fabulous! Hope you enjoyed the vino, I fell asleep in my first glass last night! Think I'll call my baby Merlot!!!!

Hello Despert - you sound really positive! I send my special reserve babydust to you this cycle!

desperate2bmum · 29/09/2006 21:21

feedme now - kaching..i raise a glass to you (and several others ) i am cd4 so drowning my sorrows

muminthemaking - i do get down as a/f arrives but i just think and look to a positive new month however i have discovered that last month i didnt ovulate so am slightly concerned. the doc wont do much this is why i am doing all that is possible ie temping so that when i do see him he has no other choice but to take me seriously. are you temping? using any other methods?

Hello all, it's really hard to keep up with everything on here! My AF hasn't arrived however I have had Dark Brown CM today and yesterday? Prob means it's on it's way, I'm on DC31.

Does anyone else get really tearful when AF arrives? I keep thinking it will never happen and everyone I know has got pg within 4 months or less :-( I'll be in my 9th month of TTC this month and am wondering whether I should go to see my GP? Any advice?

Ahhhhh!!!!!!

feedmenow · 29/09/2006 18:41

Well, at least I am put out of my misery as AF has just arrived. Feel a bit crap about it, but at least I know and can stop thinking about it every minute of the day. CityAngel, I'll be on the plonk too - like you said, make the most of it I'll be sure to raise a toast to you all and to many BFP's in October. Cheers and babydust all round xxx

Natty1806 · 29/09/2006 18:27

Download it off the internet it is cheaper.

cityangel · 29/09/2006 17:47

Good luck endless :0)

I have decided that today in National pregnancy day at Canary Wharf. I was waiting to meet a friend for lunch for 10 mins today (she is always late) 3 heavilly pregnant women walked past me.

Then she arrived and she is 14 weeks pregnant! Then in the cafe I sat next to a really pregnant stranger! I asked my friend for some hints and tips gently broaching the subject of signs, OV etc. and said she had not idea what I was talking about and that it had only taken her a week to get pregnant both times!

So tonight I am going to the worst smokiest dive I can find as I expect said pregnant women will be at home resting by then and I may as well enjoy mrs vino before I have to go back on the wagon next week!

Happy weekend everyone baby dust to all. I am now heading to HMV to buy porn. Not something I really expected to be telling anyone but hey ho!

Natty1806 · 29/09/2006 17:46

Endless i would not test again until CD36 i know it is easier said than done.

Sorry about crap spelling. x

Natty1806 · 29/09/2006 17:44

DD1, sorry to hear DP locked himself in the study i was like this at the weekend, the nurse gave us set dates to bd on and OH did not stick to them which made me very so i have decided next month not to mention it at all. Boobs are achy, think i have a cold coming and think the achy boobs are down to the progestrone my body is now procuding. Making sure i keep note on it all so that next month i don't get exciting at a sore boob as i can look back and see i normally have them.

endlesslove · 29/09/2006 17:33

Hey girls, hows everyone doing? Hope you don't mind me posting on the October thread but I think I'm the last person standing in September and I just feel like a loner

Well for me I am CD31 and I ovulated on CD22. Have a little CM. How is CM supposed to be post ovulation?

I must admit I did a preg test yesterday and was BFN. Its so damn disheartening isn't it. When do you think I should test? I reckon i am going to be a 36 day cycle this month but who knows!!!

What does a stuffy nose mean by the way? Is this a sign of pregnancy?

Thanks guys for listening to me and hopefully answering my questions.

Babydust to all xxxxxxxx

DD1ofcolandgerry · 29/09/2006 16:39

Hi everyone, I have finally got my laptop back from DH as he has been using it for 2 days for some coursework. Its taken me 1 hour to try and catch up with all the latest here.

Trace, Ive my fingers crossed for you that it is implantation

Mrsmcjnr, hope things on the house front are going well. As for the feelings once you actually get a bfp. When I got a bfp a few weeks ago, I had a few thoughts re what the birth might be like, but I wasnt really worried, as Im all for using the drugs....epidural all the way!!! I did have a laugh at work though, as over coffee one day, some collegues gave detailed accounts of horriffic birth stories, and the trauma of stitchs down there etc etc. None of them knew I was pregnant so I was sitting there listening to it all with a grin on my face. My grin is now gone, what with the miscarriage and all that, but it was amusing at the time.

Coggy....the birthday girl.......lets hope af stays away and you get the best birthday pressie ever. You deserve it.

Natty, how have you been, hows the clomid going? I see from your postings that it looks like youve ovulated. How are you feeling?

D2bm, OMG, I thought my bding plan was tough on DH, but yours has topped it. Hows it going????

Well post misscarriage, I duly put my best foot forward, started popping the magic clomid pills and decided on my baby making plan of daily bding/preseed and cough mixture when I get the pos ovulation stick result. It was all going well, I got the pos ovulation result on CD11, and kicked the plan into action. Then on CD12 and CD13 DH remembered he had an assignment due in this morning, so locked himself in the study for 2 days. Meanwhile, I huffed and puffed around the house. Im also sure I ovulated yesterday as I had loads of CM, so this months dose of clomid is rendered useless. This is stressing me more as I know you can only take so many months worth. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Im so angry at him for not organising his study better, but then on the other side I know how much this course means to him, so dont want to argue too much. But when he comes home tonight from work, I think I will be out!!!!!

Hi to everyone else that Ive missed

I think Im done now,

Hi everyone. A quick stop in for the day from me. I think I am CD26 of a 28 day cycle (although still not sure). Tested yesterday and got BFN which made me really miserable, and then had a bit of a tiff with DP cos he was more interested in the football than in my feelings. Have had rather odd feeling boobs and a lot of lower abdominal pains for the past 4(ish) days, but cannot remember my pre-period symptoms from before I had my coil about 4 years ago. I think in all reality my BFN is right and AF will arrive any time, but I'm really impatient and just want to know for definate. I know it's stupid but I sometimes think that with my history I don't deserve to have a planned pregnancy. I might crack open a bottle of wine tonight to try and cheer me up.....

Babymad4num3 · 29/09/2006 15:50

OMG Have you seen this

Babymad4num3 · 29/09/2006 15:44

Everything seems to be getting me down i was fne till 2.30 and then everything went wrong, feel like crying, DC are playing up too! I hate flapjacks and fish now! Going now to try and chill out, wash my face, and try and get 10mins on the sette of peace, before i really do cry!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

cutiebabies · 29/09/2006 10:37

rubyroo · 29/09/2006 10:25

MrsMcJnr · 29/09/2006 10:25

Oh Natty! you will! LOL at your battle against the software, I have to admit, I do that too! I haven't changed anything this month though.

Hello Cutiebabies! love your name!! Thank you for the good vibes, right back at you!. I got married in June this year so we are almost wedding twins as well as point in cycle and months of trying twins! Good luck with No.3! what this site has taught me is that just because you have 1 or more already, you still have the same nervousness each time about getting pregnant. I never realised that before I started posting on here!

I also have a really runny nose by the way but no cold.
