Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

Janus, you're not the oldest - I'm 39, soon 40 . So you are a mere youngster

Rubles - sorry af has arrived.

Natty1806 · 06/10/2006 08:08

Jess - i would do another tests today or tomorrow with first morning wee. If neg then i would leave it 3 days and if no AF test again if again after another 3 days no AF i would visit gp just to see what he thinks.

Help! Now I'm even more confused. Last night I thought AF had started (TMI warning - couple of spots of very pale pink on toilet roll), but then nothing at all overnight. Now a couple of more pale pink spots again this morning. This is nothing like normal AF for me! At the moment all I want is BFP, or if not then normal AF. What is my body doing? I was going to buy another pregnancy test today, now I don't know what to do.

cityangel - I stopped taking the pill in February. My 1st cycle was 35 days then I settled down into either 28 or 30 day cycles (never 29!). I noticed that each month AF was getting a bit heavier and more painful and I was getting acne again, so I assumed it did take a few months for the effects of the pill to totally wear off. When we started TTC in August I thought I was back to normal now I don't know what is going on!

Natty1806 · 06/10/2006 07:17

Sorry about AF Rubles. x

cityangel · 05/10/2006 23:58

Hey ladies sorry I have been awol and best wishes to all Its hard to know what to take and what not.. there is conflicting advice out there.

The job hunting has taken up all my time, I have an interview in the city tomorrow. Its difficult to be on the career path and hoping to be on the family path at the same time. So we'll see which wins the lottery first, if either!

Jess I sympathise with a difficult experience. Not getting AF after taking the pill is difficult. I have been off the pill and temping for 2 months and its hard to work out what's going on. Not even sure if I have ovulated properly yet.

Hey Mrs Mc you tell your FIL to get stuffed! It is nobody's business. I got married 2 months ago and already there are bets between our friends as to when we will have kids. I hate that kind of nosiness.

I am 30 and hoping for a first. It is hard to explain that I have wanted BFP for 3 years before even being in a position to try until now.

My good friend with 3 sons is pregnant again and fed up with the sex of the child questions. Yes a girl would be nice but everyone has different difficult experiences. Right now I am just hoping for one.

Hey endless hows it going early cycle days...no fun waiting is it. I am CD10 (last month 32) anyone else going to be hanging on to end of Oct thread?

One big positive for us is that the pre-seed stuff is fun, DH is lovely and small negative for me is that I hate grapefruit juice!

Anyone got any advice on how I can tell AF is really AF. OV really happened and why after really EWCM signs OV happened approx 4 days later?

xxx and baby dust to all xxx angel

rubyroo · 05/10/2006 22:19

i'm thinkin of you babymad hopefully its just af

coggy · 05/10/2006 22:18

Sorry to hear that your AF came today Rubles....I'm 35 too which isn't that old but a significant ttc age...so nasty!!!!!

I had a big lump in my throat the first time I picked my neice up from school.....

Babymad4num3 · 05/10/2006 22:16

Rubyroo, Before I started taking that DQ stuff I tuck it to my doctor and told him that I was going to start taking them, is it okay I asked him, he said he had no clue as he doesn't know anything about that sort of stuff! So I looked on afew websites and it sounded right up my street and okay to take, it was only when I had been taking them a few good weeks when I saw this website, so i stoped!

rubles · 05/10/2006 22:12

Oh Janus, I remember taking my neice to her first day at school and that was emotional enough for me. I dread dd going - seeing her toddle off all alone into the big world of school, oh no.

Babymad, I remember finding a bit of 'tissue' once, 8 months after dd's birth. We hadn't had sex for over a month so it wasn't a m/c, but it was about the size of a small anchovy but when I tried to dig into it with my thumb it was too dense and thick. Haven't a clue what it was. I'm not taking the dong quai any more either - couldn't hold it down.

rubyroo · 05/10/2006 22:07

rubles sorry af has arrived keep chin up

babymad have you spoke to gp about the dong quai? has big bleeding stopped now? take care of yourself flower

Janus · 05/10/2006 21:59

Oh rubles, I'm so sorry, really thought this was your month what with all those strange crampings, etc, take care lover and stay in October too.
Oh heck, I'm 36, am I the oldest??! I must admit I loved my teens, twenties and thirties, don't know where I'd wish to be again.
I just watched my youngest start her first day at school today, made me feel incredibly emotional, losing my baby to the schooling system, if only for 2.5 hours a day. Also enjoyed having a hot cup of tea mind you !

Babymad4num3 · 05/10/2006 21:33

Thanks ladies for all your support and advice today!

Rubyroo i'm wondering weather this whole thing i'm going though is down to "doug quai" stuff that i was taking but stoped when I found a website that told you "how to abort a baby with the aid of DQ" and when i did stop taking i had these rapid contraction thing going on within 24hours of stop taking it!

rubles · 05/10/2006 21:30

Coggy I'm old too. Old duffers unite! I'm 35 but I think I'd like to be 32 again or failing that then 16. Don't fancy my 20s again.

My AF has arrived - so I shall do the same as babymad and keep a foot in October and November. One month will be my month, I just have to make sure we keep trying and don't let it grind us down as a couple.

lynneclynne · 05/10/2006 20:52

oh hang on a min, u can tell im new to this!!My wee envy face or wink didnt work hope thats it now, sorry girls, just learning!

coggy · 05/10/2006 20:50

Sorry....that 'subtle' comment was aimed for Flossam BTW!

coggy · 05/10/2006 20:49

..................or just subtle!!!

Oooh....I am being bad tonight!!!!
It's because I am old y'know!!!!

lynneclynne · 05/10/2006 20:48

Listening to u girls on here im feeling old for once (envy) Im 32 next month, dh 40 and ds 12, we started ttc in june, was pg in july and had mc sept so decided we were ready to start again this month (hmm) excited yet scared incase we go through all that hurt again, but suppose only time will tell (wink)

Flossam · 05/10/2006 20:10

i'm 25 and dp is 27. we have one ds who is 23 months. first month of ttc - although i made a big meal out of it, and now dp is again saying he is happy with one so ttc next month might not be plausable.

jess1996 · 05/10/2006 20:08

I forgot to mention. I'm on day 39 of a 28-30 day cycle. I've no idea when I OV'd.

jess1996 · 05/10/2006 20:05

Hi all. I thought I'd add my details. I'm 28 and DH is 30. This is only our second month of TTC, but I'm impatient (especially after many years of carefully taking the pill - I stopped taking the pill back in Feb). I still have no signs of AF and the weak AF pains I was having seem to have gone away. I've had a nasty taste in my mouth the last couple of days, but I think I'm just imagining pregnancy symptoms. I think I'm going to do one more test at the weekend, then make an appt at the doctors.

Best wishes to all.

lynneclynne · 05/10/2006 19:16

Is there room for one more????
The last couple of months ive been hanging about on the mc thread, but myself and dh have decided to try again (fingers crossed) all goes well.
Hi to u all, and good luck with ttc!

rubyroo · 05/10/2006 18:59

hi all been catching up with posts,
babymad i bled for first couple of weeks with dd they said it was a threatened miscarriage you need to talk to someone medical? hope you feel better soon.
am a bit worried about the agnus castus now? babymad can you fill me in? i got it from holland and barratt and looked it up on website first it seemed ok?

rubles they did my fsh twice and said even with clomid i'd never ovulate again they had me booked onto ivf waiting list and my sister went as far a s egg donor counselling!! she wanted me to sell my story to take a break!!

coggy · 05/10/2006 18:58

I'm with you on the old Dh doesn't need to know stuff.

I just do the....."oh that?...had it for ages dahling!!!!!"

That doesn't make me bad does it???!!!

feedmenow · 05/10/2006 18:56

Thanks for the info everyone! It always makes me feel better to know peoples ages aswell. I've always had a bit of a babyface and looked a lot younger than I was (eg, got ID'd to buy a lottery ticket when I was 20!)and at the children's schools a lot of the other mums are significantly older than me, so I often feel like I'm seen as a silly little girl!
However, I celebrated my 30th earlier this year so now I'm officially in my 30's I think it is time to stop worrying about such silly things
So, Coggy, you'd love to be 24. And Natty, you'd like to be 18. I think my favourite age was about 24 so I would have stuck there too. What about everyone else....what was your optimum age?

Female - not trying to lead you astray, but does DH need to know how much it costs? I just don't think that our men (or mine at least) has any idea what it is like to be us and to be waiting the whole time, so I kind of think "sod it" if I need to spend to help conceive, or to find out, etc, than I jolly well will ( I don't really think in words like that but don't know what I can get away with on here )

coggy · 05/10/2006 18:55

Stop it all of you!!!!!
No more of that twenty-something milarky please!!!
