Hopefully we'll see more BFPs on this one!

OP posts:
lildottie · 09/08/2014 16:53

cooper Sorry she got you.

blue fx for the elusive bfp for you. Sucks you were in work on a saturday! Hopefully home chillaxin' now though.

vic forms? you really are getting the worst of everything with this referral lark. We were asked by consultant about frequencey of dtd, i just said eod but more around ov. the eod was a slight exaggeration but he was happy with that answer. I think they just want to make sure you are doing it enough/at the right time. I think i'd be vague. Like, i didn't mention we basically don't dtd between ov and af! I let "eod" cover that!

xBlueberry88x · 09/08/2014 09:59

Vicky Id average it out and around eod.

AF is due Tuesday, trying to decide whether to test tomorrow and possibly ruin my day or make it the best day ever or wait until AF is actually due.

Cooper sorry Af turned up how dare she.

Im so mega tired today all my joints hurt and my eyes are fuzzy but im stuck at work till 1 boooo

victoria401 · 09/08/2014 09:55

Sorry about af cooper, it sounded promising :-(

Good luck blueberry! I'm not going to scorn you for symptom spotting. When are you due af or bfp?

We've got to fill out shed loads of forms before this appointment, like half a rainforest! The only question I'm worried about is frequency of sex per month! Seriously going to have to lie! No idea what to say! How many should I say without it looking like too much or too little!

cooperG · 08/08/2014 17:39

Evening ladies, victoria that's fab news! :D

And fingers crossed blue

As for me, turned into full blown af last night. Not happy! :/

xBlueberry88x · 08/08/2014 12:57

Afternoon ladies,

Firstly Vicky thank god for that!! not long to wait now!!!

Cooper any news??

Af is due Tuesday and ive had so many symptoms but everytime I think this im let down.

Ive been nauseous for about a week now, one episode of actually being sick and many of trying to be, last couple of days ive had cramps (alot like AF) so im hoping she doesnt turn up early. My boobs still hurt so bad but I had it last month to.

Please slap me for thinking to much into it all!!!

victoria401 · 08/08/2014 11:49

Woohoo! Result! Called up clinic again this morning and have an appointment! September 2nd! Going to collect the paperwork myself from the clinic this afternoon instead of waiting for them to lose it in the post!

Any more symptoms cooper, blueberry?

cooperG · 07/08/2014 18:48

I second that, you should definitely complain, I've had some shocking treatment at the gynae unit at my local hospital and if anything else goes wrong I'll definitely be making a formal complaint.

If they get enough complaints they might at lease look at their procedures Cake

Lauraqc · 07/08/2014 17:59

Please please put in complaints at the surgery and hospital Victoria. The incompetence is breathtaking, and each week is a week lost. It may make you feel better to get it all onto one whopping badass letter and make them buck up their ideas. We're all with you xx

victoria401 · 07/08/2014 17:54

Hmmmm interesting..... I don't know a lot about temping but it drops if af due and stays up for pregnant yeah? Sounds promising tho!

I'm sad and defeated today :-( still no referral for the clinic as promised last week so I decide to phone them this afternoon. No letter has been sent out. Our notes were triaged on July 29th, that was the last entry. Gone past angry, just depressed. Someone from the referrals team is meant to be calling me back tomorrow. Update you tomorrow. Another week lost.

cooperG · 07/08/2014 17:31

Temp still up this morning but started spotting this afternoon, no idea what's going on Hmm

victoria401 · 06/08/2014 20:35

How bizzare cooper fingers crossed for you though!

Still waiting for referral letter. Was promised early this week and now its mid. I wouldn't have been so worried as I know how crap nhs post is, but we got a letter yesterday saying my telephone appointment was cancelled as I was 'being referred back to the care of my GP'.

Not read back on the last page, too tired and words are blurring into one. Hope everyone's ok and I'll catch up later x

cooperG · 06/08/2014 20:13

Evening ladies, hope everyone's well? I'm going slightly insane right now, I'm 15dpo, at least 2 days late (never gone past 13dpo while ttc) and not a sign of af in sight, not a single spot! (I normally spot a day or two before af) BUT bfn Monday and this morning! :/ and my temps are still high! Arrghhhh!! Confused

lildottie · 06/08/2014 16:29

heading for YouTube Grin

Ladyboluna · 06/08/2014 12:43

Have you seen that youtube video of people drunk down a high street (security cam footage) with David Attenborough narration on top? "The male exhibits his mating dance" while a drunk man falls over, that kinda stuff.

Lauraqc · 06/08/2014 08:24

Lady 'rutting' hahaha brilliant word! Got David Attenborough in my head describing like wildebeest or something (not that you resemble wildebeest!!)

Lauraqc · 06/08/2014 08:21

Hahahaha definitely sa test!!!! Altho last night when we weren't talking I could've booked him in for an ass test which he'd have passed with flying colours! All is well again today though!

Yep surprising isn't it? White jasmine rice is lowest GI of all the rices which I didn't expect, and stuff like chocolate is actually medium GI although obvs high fat...it's really working for me though, I feel full and feel like I don't need to snack which is usually my downfall. Will stick at it as a healthy lifestyle change and any lbs dropped is a bonus!

As I say I found it easier to be armed with a list of low GI foods and just devise meals from that - you can't go wrong with turkey/chicken/fish with veg, fruit and salads!

lildottie · 06/08/2014 07:52

I'm assuming he's having an sa and not an ass test Grin

just googled low GI and omg! weetabix is high GI! and shredded wheat medium! how! lol

I thought I was doing OK with switching my cereals, eating wholemeal pasta and brown rice. I don't eat much bread so that ones OK. hmmm must try harder.

I'm also trying to stop buying stuff with sugar listed as an ingredient. or sweetener.

Lauraqc · 05/08/2014 22:54

Lil I bought the low GI diet book and cookbook off eBay v cheap and getting my head around it. A quick version would be lots of fruit and veg, along with granary seeded bread, and wholemeal stuff instead of white. Even wholemeal brown bread is no good! You could do a little search on Google for low GI foods and then compile a menu from that - I found that easier than looking up different foods each day! Some stuff you expect to be bad isn't and vice versa! Good luck!

Blue we'll all be on crotch watch with you...!

Just had row with DH and now not talking...not doing much good for dtd tonight...! Also nowhere near showing +ve on opk as yet so hopefully won't make a difference. Bloody moany sod. Still, he did get me a Mulberry bag yesterday for my birthday back in June so he's not all bad!

Countdown to his as test next week!

Ladyboluna · 05/08/2014 22:43

Also regarding weight loss - I lost half a stone on slimming world. I'm usually about 12.5 stone :S but I'm a size 16-18. My weight hasn't changed for a year but I do need to lose some. Just I comfort eat too much.

Ladyboluna · 05/08/2014 22:38

lil this is the first month and day 10 of my 26 day cycle, hopefully won't be too long as I worry if my luteal phase is too short.

We're both enjoying rutting like teenagers Grin.

lildottie · 05/08/2014 22:31

I need motivation on weight loss too. I'd done so well and had lost 9lbs but I've now put 11lbs back on. I'm not quite overweight but I'm now the heaviest I've ever been. I want to try the low GI but don't know where to start. any pointers ladies? it doesn't help that dh is always scoffing!

Vic bloody appt letters. still waiting for mine. at least you know yours was being posted. when will you give it until before you chase again?

blue hope the sickness means something for you, but try not to fuel the crazy! what will be will be.

lady is this your first month with cbfm? if it is don't be surprised if you get ALOT of highs. although if you have average cycles you should be OK. I have 32-38 day cycles and have had over a week of highs before and first month was worst. enjoy the shagging though

Lindsay81 · 05/08/2014 16:23

I am popping in because I see a few of you talking about weight and I hate to see anyone beat themselves up over a few kilos! We have enough to worry about without this- I'm not saying go out and eat a family bag of Revels but you know what I mean!
I am a size 6 - 8 (5'6", around 9.5 stone) and you know my story so size is definitely not critical to TTC, unless it affects your periods I guess. I think it is one factor in, what I am starting to believe, is a melting pot of a bazillion and one other things that need to come together in the right order at the right time.

Want Revels now.... LMAO!

Metalhead · 05/08/2014 14:56

My next fertile window will be when we're away in Cornwall ginger staying in a cottage with DH's parents and his brother, wife and two kids! But I've already warned DH and it will not stop us! Grin (Though it might turn out we only manage it a couple of times when I get my +opks, but that should still give us a good chance.)

Fx for you blueberry, I can never stop myself from symptom spotting though I have to say even the most convincing symptom usually means absolutely f-all for me.

xBlueberry88x · 05/08/2014 14:40

haha Ginger Im terrible the last couple of months ive felt nauseous at this time but never to the point I felt like id actually be sick.

Wow a whole month lol dtd will be a bit hard haha

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 05/08/2014 14:06

Oh my gosh Metal I Know just what you mean. I am exactly the same and I am driving myself crazy with all of these up and down emotions, and I am obsessed with finding out age gaps between siblings and how they get along. I can't concentrate at work, I have no interest in any conversation and DH and I are not getting along at the moment. I am just sick of this, I want to stop obsessing over all of this all of the time!

vic that is a bit annoying that you have to wait on good 'ole royal mail, bet you wish you could just march into the hospital shout your name and say someone tell me when my appointment is!! I am supposed to be going for a scan this week, but had no app letter through so god knows when it will be. 3 IUI is a good shot though? Will they supply you with all the drugs before you go for IUI or is that only with IVF? At least you will of had a few goes of fertility treatment before your IVF so they will know what they are working with. FX it won't come to that of course!

The healthy eating/crackhead thing makes me so angry all the time. I saw a woman smoking in the park the over day, a kids park, and she was about 6 months pg. It's just plain ridiculous.

Congrats on the high Lady and lucky DP! Wink

Gosh a few of you are moving along quickly! Fingers crossed for you all, and we will definately be seeing some lovely BFPs very soon I think.

jesse that sounds like a much more sensible way to do it, I wonder why not every hospital does it that way. Good luck for this month!

Blue glad you are feeling a bit more positive this month, but stop SS! Drop and give us 20!!

AFM my DIn-Laws arrive on Sunday for a month, so don't think we'll stand much chance of DTD this month Hmm
