Last night I really wanted a baby!

maybug3 · 20/08/2014 08:40

Sorry Lil - it was Laura hoping for clomid.

I'm not so good at the picking myself up bit so not sure what I can offer other than to do something you can enjoy. For me is always getting outdoors and active that helps me put a few things into perspective although it doesn't take away the pain just lessens it a little.

lildottie · 19/08/2014 23:25

CLIM d?? that was meant to be clomid!

lildottie · 19/08/2014 23:24

no CLIM d for me may....that was someone else. and I can't remember despite just reading! sorry, tired brain!

as for the picking yourself up again, yeah, that's the bit I'm struggling with. if anyone has some PMA to share let me have it!

maybug3 · 19/08/2014 21:56

Confusion is a good name notta!

Go with the earlier date but if levels aren't right you'll have more than one test before they write you off so you get a couple of chances to get it right.

Victoria well done for supporting so well. It's so hard for both of you and it's so easy to forget about the other half at times. Good luck.

Lil. Good luck and I hope clomid is an option for you.

Laura you're so right! We're well overdue a bfp. Come on ladies! I'm not in with a shot so sending positive thoughts to all those with a chance.

Sparrowlegs248 · 19/08/2014 20:39

Sorry that was me, somehow used a different name.

confusion77 · 19/08/2014 20:37

Thanks Victoria Sorry you are still here, in the nicest possible way! GP said day 21 but i was sure it would be earlier. So I'll go for 18then. I do have the occasional longer cycle but very rarely.

DH is already convinced its him with the problem, bless him.

victoria401 · 19/08/2014 19:06

Welcome back Notta. You need to have your day 21 seven days before you're period is due :-) so yes book it for day cd18. If you test too late your progesterone might have dropped pre af looking like you didn't ovulate.

Deffo no poas here. Given up until our appointment in 2 weeks time. This time in a fortnight we should know what our next steps are! Dh has his advanced sa tomorrow. He says he worried about it bless him. The results more than the doing. Saying things like 'what if it shows nothing can be done?!'. He's getting lots of cuddles from me :-)

Sparrowlegs248 · 19/08/2014 17:45

Posting fail

Helli ladies, I have been awol for quite some time. Decided to take a break from obsessing and have not poas at all, be it opk or hpt. Have just dtd and seen what happened.

What happened? Sod all. So, turned 37 and went to the Drs eventually. I have a pot for DH to deposit in and paperwork for my bloods inc day 21 test.

My question is this: should i have it on day 21 or day 18 give that i have a 25 day cycle?

Hope there has been some good news for those I know here.

Lauraqc · 19/08/2014 17:41

Thanks Blue and May! I think I'm preparing myself for the worst which is odd as I'm a born optimist! Hopefully they'll stick me on Clomid and give us a fighting chance! Otherwise I'll be taking a leaf out of Lil's book and finding chocolate and booze! there's a bottle of wine waiting in the fridge already

Sparrowlegs248 · 19/08/2014 17:41

Hell

Lindsay81 · 19/08/2014 17:31

I ain't doin' it this month! POAS, that is. Well, I will if I'm late but I have resolved not to until i am a week late. Controversial I know but I have waited a long time for this holiday and I want to at least enjoy the first week of it. If AF comes, she'll be gone after the first few days of the holiday and if she doesn't, I can test after a week and because of where we are going, I can tell DH in a really amazing location. So win/ win, I say. :-)

DON'T LET ME TEST EARLY! lol

cooperG · 19/08/2014 17:31

Hope so Lindsay :)

xBlueberry88x · 19/08/2014 16:33

Who's due to POAS next?

Lindsay81 · 19/08/2014 15:20

Random thought: We just HAVE to have another bfp on here before we move onto our third thread. I really think we will! I have a good feeling about it :)

maybug3 · 19/08/2014 14:49

Laura - at least he's clean ;-)
Don't read anything into it. My dh is super fit and healthy apart from the odd drink but has no swimmers. There is no logic to it as far as I can see.

Lil - glad the prosecco and chocolate did the trick. There is nothing wrong with feeling low we just need to be able to bring ourselves back up again afterwards.

xBlueberry88x · 19/08/2014 14:29

Laura My DP doesnt eat anything good him, eats so much sugar everyday and drinks loads of tea...but his SA was fine I wouldnt worry to much.

lildottie · 18/08/2014 20:46

Laura are you married to my dh? he was addicted to Pepsi Max among other caffeinated vices! he now drinks caffeine free diet coke instead of the Pepsi. still not ideal but at least its a step in the right direction!

the prosseco and chocolate were amazing. just what I needed. feel fine with it all today. think I just needed to have my wallow in self pity to get through it. went to see them in hospital tonight and had lots of cuddles. she's amazing. so so cute. but I want a take home one!

Lauraqc · 18/08/2014 20:39

Hahahaha no, no, no, no problem :)

Had a nice chat with DH yesterday about the impending first hospital appt. He is addicted to pepsi max, wouldn't know a vegetable or piece of fruit if it hit him in the gonads, takes 2 hot baths per day and doesn't exercise (god he sounds like such a catch on paper!) and i'm very worried his swimmers aren't up to scratch. I asked him what his intentions would be toward any advice from the hosp if it was bad news. Luckily he said he'd have to try whatever he's told will work. Made me feel a bit better mid-meltdown. The closer it gets the more nervous i feel. He pointed out that we may not get any answers at all which i agree would be worse...

We've arranged to go out for a nice lunch after the appointment though to talk things through whatever it is, so that will be something to look forward to.

Lil wow chocolate bath and prosecco - that sounds like one fabulous evening!

lildottie · 17/08/2014 23:55

lol, clearly I was may. the bath bomb, chocolate and bottle yes bottle of prosecco tonight helped immensely though!!

maybug3 · 17/08/2014 18:34

Sorry Lil. It doesn't matter how happy you might be for someone it doesn't take the pain away. At least you were obviously feeling very grateful towards Laura Wink

lildottie · 17/08/2014 18:32

stupid phone!

lildottie · 17/08/2014 18:31
