Yuk hibou. Really sorry. I'm still in but not due til tomorrow - cd33 - and have been known to go to cd 35 so keeping my expectations in check. Sorry again hibou and sorry to all wh've had mini-heartbreaks which we need to brave it through x

I'm out now!! Boo :(

Jessewalt · 11/05/2014 22:17

I totally agree everyone, bumped into my neighbour who has a three week old today and had dinner on Friday night with a pregnant friend (who I am obviously delighted for) but find the in depth discussions on how much baby was moving during the 20week scan, really, really difficult.
When we are all preggers - we will obviously remember all of this!!!

MB1985 · 11/05/2014 21:49

Oh god m33r i know what you mwan, when out earlier we bumped into someone dh used to work with today who was out with wife 4yo daughter and a 5day old son. I literally couldn't talk to them!!!! This is getting harder every time :-(

Hibou7688 · 11/05/2014 14:05

Oh no, sorry af got you. I think she may get me today too, wee was very dark earlier!

m33r · 11/05/2014 11:38

Hi all.

AF out in force! After my earlier confidence, fairly sure I'll be out by tomorrow. Feeling really frustrated with it all. Spent a few days trying to convince myself there are worse things than not having a family then a little lad in morrisons was explaining to his mum and dad why he preferred asda and it just broke my heart...

Anyway, off work for a couple of weeks so hopefully that'll perk me up. I'm trying really hard to do non-child friendly things and see the 'benefits' to not having kids but my word it's tough!

Not as tough as 'wank and drive'; really feel for the blokes and hope it all comes back ok!

Bloody AF is doing the rounds this month! I thought May was meant to be fertile month!?

maybug glad your appointment went well, it's good to be able to get the ball rolling, feels like you are getting somewhere doesn't it.

Well I had a very spontaneous, very late night out last night! Thought I should make the most of it after AF showed up. Nursing a very sick head today. It's taken me an hour and a half to attempt to eat a muesli bar!

ImaginaryHat · 11/05/2014 11:17

Hi everyone. Hope you're all having a nice weekend.

Sorry af seems to have got so many of you, I'm currently on day 5 of spotting (11dpo) so expecting af will be here properly in a day or two for me too.

may your new gp sounds great, it really does make a difference if you feel like you're being taken seriously and not just fobbed off.

non glad your day 21's came back fine, I'm gonna try and ring tomorrow to get mine if I can.

Nonconformist34 · 11/05/2014 10:57

Hi everyone, gosh it's taken some time to read back and catch up with you all! You've all been busy ladies.

Welcome to all the newbies, I'm sure you'll find more support on here than the buses, I definitely did.

DH had his 'wank and drive' test done on Friday so has been told it will be around 10 days for results. Very proud of him. My day 21 tests came back fine, will ring tomorrow for day 2 results. Will book joint GP appointment for a couple of weeks to sort out referral to fertility clinic then.

Coming up to my next fertile window so hopefully will be busy dtd in the next week. Hopefully now the pressures off a bit we may unconsciously relax and who knows????

Lindsay81 · 11/05/2014 08:44

AF is on a roll this week coz she got me this morning with a crappy 8 day luteal phase. Wonderful :-/

may Sounds like such good progress! DH does his SA on Friday and we are waiting for our joint fertility appointment at the hospital. I really hope I feel as positive as you do after it. I already feel better since the doctor agreed we should move ahead and see a specialist.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

lil1ady · 11/05/2014 00:25

maybug I'm so pleased to hear you had a good experience with go. it's nice to get things moving. I've definitely felt calmer since we got our referral. I've even been coping much better with AF showing up.

blue I detect symptom spotting....do we need to demand press ups from you?

JesseWine Thanks

maybug3 · 10/05/2014 19:47

Hi all

Had a joint appointment with gp this morning to finally get tests started. Was so nervous, especially after turning into am emotional wreck last time I talked about it to a doctor.

But this one was great. Very sympathetic (guess he'd read the notes about my last visit! ) and also very knowledgeable! Was able to put my mind at rest about my an-ov cycles and took seriously my concerns about short luteal.

Accepted what I told him about my cycles and so blood tests are booked for mid luteal which will be 5dpo first month and also referral in for ultrasound etc.

Dh bless him got 'felt up' as gp was concerned by his history of varicose veins down there but all seems well and so he has his pot and just needs to phone the lab for a day and time.

It was so good to be listened to and believed and so not what I was expecting based on most stories on mn. Feel so relieved that things will start happening now and knowing I have a gp who is going to be supportive and knowledgeable.

Into cycle 24 but feeling more relaxed than I have for months, even more so because for the first time a doctor also took seriously the research we've done on preventative measures for cleft lip and palate which my dh had.

All in all a good day and I just hope all the 'just relax and it will happen' annoying people will be proved right for me!

Hope everyone else can also focus on something positive this weekend. Sorry for all this got by af this week. Wallow as is your right and then ficus on next month.

Hibou7688 · 10/05/2014 19:34

Well AF two days late and bfn on cheapies today no symptoms of af at all which is odd! I finally thought my periods were regular, how wrong I was!!

MB1985 · 10/05/2014 15:19

:-( sorry Jesse she's got most of us this week it seems

victoria401 · 10/05/2014 08:08

Sorry Jesse :-(

I'm awake early feeling crap :-( started getting a cold yesterday just before my hol! Gave up packing and rested the rest of day to try and kick it. Went to bed at 8pm with a green tea. Woken up with a massive headache and Snotty face. Still so much to sort out before we leave later. I think caravaning involves much more prep than flying abroad. Have to remember crap like teatowels and bog rolls! I'm also hoping dh will still want to shag me if I'm ill and he doesn't want it! Kissing free shagging maybe? Or just turn me over but then nose will run into the pillow urgh?!

Anyway, have a good weekend guys. Hopfully my back of beyond camp site will have reception and I can check in on you here :-) x

Jessewalt · 10/05/2014 07:43

Ps - day 1 cycle 13. It got me.

Jessewalt · 10/05/2014 07:42

Sorry about the stats everyone. No more of them from me x

lil1ady · 10/05/2014 00:08

onelife lol Grin isn't autocorrect brilliantly annoying! sorry I've wiped you out for the month...perhaps ignorance is bliss.

m33r its not just the Cray radiation, its the dye. I will Gabe hsg before cd10, and don't ov until cd20-25 but I still can't have unprotected sex at all that cycle as they dont want you to get pg after the procedure.

confused the hell out of me reading other threads as ppl were saying they got their bfp in cycle they had hsg, which is why I wondered what you guys were told compared to me. I guess there will always be people who don't follow the rules though.

Vic I really feel for you honey. its so frustrating when we are doing everything we can to make this happen, only for the men who are supposed to want to make it happen with us to put obstacles in the way! I hope you enjoy having a nice clean bed at least! even if you're only going to sleep in it tonight Thanks

cd9 and was supposed to poas for my cbfm this morning but went to the loo before I remembered... maybe I should just not bother with it this month, it could be a sign!

I hate all those stats about pg rates. it doesn't stop it feeling like 99.8% get pg on cycle 1 and you're the remaining 0.2% yourself! still I guess it does happen. there has to be people above and below the average for it to be an average! that's my positive input for the day!

blue stop wishing your life away, the drs app will come soon enough Wink

MB1985 · 09/05/2014 22:57

Remember everyone this thread is about staying positive - at least we are all in the same shitty boat!!! (Says she who spent most of yesterday afternoon crying and shouting at dh...) Bfps all round by the end of the year :-)

Mam31 · 09/05/2014 21:30

Hey ladies. Just had a quick scan, not so up to date on all the events. Hope you are all doing ok.

Ginger, this is the first month I know nothing. I haven't recorded or noted anywhere the first day of my cycle and genuinely forget when it was as I was very busy with work and other things at that time. I didn't do opks, didn't plan to dtd just when we wanted to (which is generally quite often) and have been getting on with life, focusing on work/friends/decorating and keeping very busy! It has worked and I don't feel under pressure or stressed by the process for once! Hoping it works for a bfp at some stage also obviously!!!!

Hope everyone has nice plans for the wkend? Anything nice going on ladies?

victoria401 · 09/05/2014 20:59

Well technically we've been waiting for the sa since the referral that never was back in early Feb! It was 8 weeks til we phoned to check and they hadn't sent his referral letter, then another 2 weeks at least til they got him in in a cancellation. His actual sa was April 28th and they said approx 10 days for result. I think its been 12 days?

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 09/05/2014 20:23

I'm the same blue it just doesn't seem right that there isn't a problem if it is taking this long, If all was hunky dory then within 6 months surely!
Well I spoke to the nurse earlier and she said that my bloods confirmed that I am ovulating. The progesterone at 6dpo was 42 and at 10dpo down to 19, and the Dr is happy with those numbers. I don't feel any happier though to be honest, now I just think, well what is the problem then! Makes this journey all the more confusing and longer. Just holding out for DHs SA at the end of June, and think we will take a bit of a backseat until then, with a few social events planned for May and June. I don't know if I can not think about it though! Any tips mama!?
vic can't believe they told you to ring back in a week!! How long will that make it then you've been waiting on results? Sounds like your DH had a good birthday though!!

xBlueberry88x · 09/05/2014 16:28

Afternoon,

Vicky How have you not slapped your DH lol luckily my DP doesnt drink, I used to drink alot when I was single but dont drink anything now unless a special occasion.
How annoying about the result what the hell are they doing with them?? stupid doctors.

Holly Welcome

Ginger Sorry about AF what a bitch!!

Statistics make me sad so I try not to take notice but you cant help thinking after a year that there must be something seriously wrong.

Im wishing away this week so that I can finally have my docs appointment and find out whats going on. although AF due the same day and I dont want her to turn up
And talk to her about the new pains and bleeding to.

Feeling fine today a bit bloated still and mega tired cannot wait to finish work tomorrow and get home.

Hope every one is ok

Jessewalt · 09/05/2014 16:03

Nhs statistics 84% end year 1, 92% end year 2, which means half of all those not conceived year 1, will conceive year 2. Stats a bit more hazy from year 2 onwards x
