Hopefully we'll see more BFPs on this one!

They say how we need to be relaxed and not be stressed and it will happen. But how can we when the so called professionals muck us around.
Dh was able to get his results over the phone and I picked up a print out for our records. Vic, I know all the delay is upsetting, fx all will be revealed one way or another tomorrow.
Lindsay, try not to freak, good plan to see where you're at on your return. Our bodies can be strange, but try not to assume the worst.

Hycosy, and scan tomorrow, really do not want to be doing this….. I never thought I would be in this situation. It's like a bad dream :(

Nonconformist34 · 20/05/2014 15:26

Hi everyone, good to see how we're all doing.

To report back to you all, I picked up DH's SA results today and everything is fine (phew!) and my day 2 and day 21 bloods came back fine too. The receptionist wouldn't give me DH's over the phone but said I could pick up a print out for him?? His sperm results look really good as his all his levels are way above the lower reference limit. The only thing low was the volume (1.6ml) but the low reference limit is 1.5ml so just scraped in there!

We have our joint appointment next week to send off the referral now.

Good luck Victoria and all those awaiting their results. Can't tell you what a relief it is so fingers crossed its just a matter of time or just unexplained infertility, who knows???

Never mind, onwards and upwards and staying positive as always x

Lindsay81 · 20/05/2014 15:19

How's your hubby feeling vic? Is he worried? :-( I hope time passes quickly til tomorrow and that the results are fine in the end xoxo

I've still got some of this spotting and also really strong, sharp cramps this morning that took my breath away. Constant dull/ burning cramps and my boobs are achey inside, but not to touch. Took a PG test just in case (neg) and another OPK (neg). So I am getting kind of worried there's something wrong with me... In fact, I'm really scared! :-( You think about mental things like cancer and stuff.

TMI coming up- the spotting has been kind of... fibrous, if you know what I mean?! Like small threads. My friend thinks that I actually got pregnant, but with the short LP I can't hold it and this is my body just shedding any lining that built up, and my boobs hurt with hormonal fluctuations. Wishfully, I want to agree with her just to believe I can actually get pregnant.

I'm travelling (again!) this week but if there is still something going on by Friday I'll make an appointment for next week I guess.

victoria401 · 20/05/2014 13:54

Were your hubby's results ok holly? Maybe you only need an appointment when they are bad?! Oh god :-( I need wine!

lil1ady · 20/05/2014 13:51

try not to stress Vic. we had a phone call from receptionist when results came in telling us we had to book call with Dr. results were bad. but whatever the results its a step forward. stay strong x

HollyBen · 20/05/2014 13:21

How frustrating vic. They sound completely disorganised - one of my personal pet hates! DH got chapter and verse from the receptionist over the phone which made he pretty uncomfortable. ...

victoria401 · 20/05/2014 13:18

Grrrrrrrr dh just called me on his lunch break. They wouldn't give him the results on the phone. He's booked to have a call from the doctor at 6pm TOMORROW! FFS! As if we havent waited long enough! Dh is convinced there must be something wrong if the doc needs to break it to him. How did you guys get the results?

Lindsay81 · 20/05/2014 12:33

Hi blue, OPK- here so like mb said, just gonna put it down to one of those weird things I guess! :-S

blue I agree with you and lil re men and their libido/ sex drive. It's actually kind of unfair that there is this stereotype of men being randy 24/7 because seems like many of them actually aren't! It must make men feel a bit inadequate at times. Anyway, try not to do your head in with the AF dates and stuff, it must be driving you crazy xoxo

Got first letter through from fertility clinic, just telling me to make sure i've had my bloods done and a rubella test and that DH has had SA done. No date as yet but that will come shortly apparently.

Good luck for DH's results vic!

lil1ady · 20/05/2014 12:15

blue I've never heard if pregnacare delaying AF. I've been taking them for 12months and they've never affected my cycle. I think it's more likely that the mid cycle bleed was AF due to annov cycle so you probably aren't late yet. hang in there chick Thanks

Vic I hope he calls you! I hate waiting!

good luck on the referrals. I agree about just getting the ball rolling too.

what happened to the sunshine!

HollyBen · 20/05/2014 11:10

I have had bloods done and they all seemed fine. Appointment is to discuss and get letter so I think I will go along, get the ball rolling and see what happens. I have been told there is a 3 month waiting list so it's not as though anything is going yo happem overnight anyway

victoria401 · 20/05/2014 10:59

Oh and I'm glad I told my mum blue. They do worry about their little girls though don't they? :-) my mum never asks how things are going unless I bring it up. I kind of wish she would ask more so I could blurt stuff out! But at the same time I don't want her to worry about how much it really is affecting me. I'm just acting kinda relaxed, yeah whatever happens kinda thing even though inside I'm dying a bit! I also wish she would not yabber on about my sisters kids all the time tho! She does spend a lot of time with them and doting on them!

victoria401 · 20/05/2014 10:54

Yes good luck with the referrals Jesse and holly!

I hope something happens for you soon blue. And I'm sure time will fly til your appointment. I was told a timescale for my ultrasound and I got a date way sooner than they said. Hope its the same for you.

Hubby doesn't get his first break at work until 11.45 so I hope he calls doc then. And I'm hoping he's not waiting til he gets home!

xBlueberry88x · 20/05/2014 10:45

Morning Ladies 5/6 days late now and still no signs.

I read this morning that it could be the pregnacare vitamins I will be really pissed off if this is the case

Impatiently waiting for gynae appointment 4 to 8 weeks is way to long!!

FX for everyone with up coming appointments.

Holly very likely to be to early but some people do get a positive that early.

Vicky Fx hurry up dh and call!!

Finally told my mum everything last night she didnt cry or anything which I was thankful for, she went straight into googling things. Although this morning she messaged to say sorry for ever hurting me and asking about kids etc I feel bad for telling her now. Sad

victoria401 · 20/05/2014 10:33

Hi holly

It could still be too early at 10dpo. Have you had all your pre-ref tests now or do you need to have all the bloods done again? If you still need to book tests before your ref then I'd def not bother poas. If they are all done and GP just needs to send your letter then I guess its your call :-)

Patiently waiting for dh to call me with his results! I wonder when he will, eeek!

Jessewalt · 20/05/2014 10:27

Hi Hollyben,
I too have gp appointment on the 27th with mr Jesse to get the referral to infertility started.
If I were you I wouldn't bother poas, just get the referral process started and how amazing would it be to have to make a phone call to cancel it all, if you did get a bfp?!

Had an amazing weekend and was feeling so relaxed and happy, and then more pregnancy announcements from friends only just married. As always, I am delighted for them but it just highlights that we are not, and I want so much to be a part of it.
Keep moving forward I suppose

HollyBen · 20/05/2014 10:20

She sounds like a charmer stepmama I also have a nearly 13 year old dss. Luckily his dm and are a civil.

DH got round to doing his repeat sa last week so waiting to see why results are (hopefully by the end of the week) then I have gp apt on 27th to get fertility clinic referral started. Question for you ladies. On 27th I will be 10 dpo. Should I poas before I go to gp just in case or is it too early? Should I just get things kicked off and then cancel in the unlikely event of a bfp?

stepmama84 · 19/05/2014 18:58

Crikey you guys post a lot at the weekend ! Need to bare that in mind :)
Weather has been amazing, enjoyed good dog walks and my first try at tennis with dh and dss, thoroughly enjoyable! Definitely caught the sun and loved not having to wear a coat :)
Blue - you're very patient I would be googling and peeing on any kind of stick!
Vic - how frustrating, bloody doctors, they have no empathy for what results like these mean to women.

Picture this - obviously pregnant bitch (you know who) wearing white tight hot pant shorts and white tight vest top. Both having everything on show. Shouting "Awright darlin?!!!" from by the car.
Classy……...

laurano81 · 19/05/2014 15:37

Hi ImaginaryHat....my 7 dpo test was progesterone 44.3...but I then proceeded to have spotting at 9 dpo & Af 10 dpo. I just went to the doc today, after almost begging my doc to do 9dpo hormone tests, as something happens to my progesterone level between 7 dpo and 9/10 dpo..Yesterday I was 9 dpo, so had to get the test done today at 10 dpo...Hopefully it will prove what I have been telling the docs with the last 10 months!!! I am 32 so they prob aren't taking this as seriously as I feel they should! I have been taking VitB6 and I am going to start Agnus Cactus as well (just up to Ovulation). I also go to accupuncture. I look forward to hearing from you...:)

MB1985 · 19/05/2014 14:47

haha Blue yeah they are a bit! DH is a bit more D today - so far! No idea whats going on though :-(

Vic thats crap, some Drs are just appaling aren't they! Fx for tomorrow though

Linds I have no idea - but funny you should say because I had something similar this month, I just figured it was one of those things!

Hi Poco sorry to hear you are having trouble again :-( fx not too much longer for you

I got a flashy smiley today which could/shoud mean ov wednesday which is about right - although dh SA is thursday so timing is crap!!! Kinda hoping for the extra flashys now!!!

victoria401 · 19/05/2014 14:19

It kinda sounded too heavy and long for ov bleeding, blue not that I know

Latest on the sa result.... Dh called the labs and they said they sent out the report THE DAY AFTER THE SAMPLE RECEIPT! They faxed another to the GP, who then called dh to say they'd "found the report but the GP needs to read it and write their comments" and to call back again tomorrow! Dh is back at work tomorrow so will have to go sit in the car or something to get privacy as he is in shared small office.

Welcome poco how old is your child? Hope you can make a sibling soon :-)

Hope everyone else is ok?

xBlueberry88x · 19/05/2014 13:31

Afternoon Ladies,

Lil my dp is exactly the same. We discuss at the beginning of the month the plan of action and it never works out men are stupid.

Vicky What the hell are they playing at my dps SA was back within a week. Keep calling them until they give you what they want.

Lindsay Have you got any OPKS you might be ovulating early.

Welcomes Poco Of course you can join.

So today I am 4/5 days late and still no sign of AF trying to not worry about it but my god its annoying.

If the mid cycle bleeding counted as AF it should turn up again on the weekend. However most things I read recon its ovulation bleeding, could this have been the first month I ever ovulated and if I need it was late because I used OPKS until about cd20 ish.

If I ovulated around they and I have a 14 day lp AF will be due on the 21st.

Arghhhh lol

pocopearl · 19/05/2014 11:21

Hi all have just got af after cycle 9. Does this mean I can join here now? Ttc number 2 took 11 months last time. Thought it would be quicker this time. :(

Lindsay81 · 19/05/2014 11:02

vic - That is absolutely ridiculous!

Lindsay81 · 19/05/2014 11:02

Hi girls- hope you all had a good weekend :-) The weirdest thing is happening with me. I just posted this on the main board so sorry of you have read already!

As you know, I have a 25/26 day cycle but a short LP around 8 days. My period usually lasts for 5 days. I never spot before or after.

My period has "finished" but I am still spotting today at cd9 and feel mild cramps, similar to ovulation (OPK- today) or perhaps like a UTI type of feeling. The only thing I have done a bit differently recently is forgotten to take my B100 complex for around a week.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what this could be and should I be concerned? It's very unusual for me to see at spotting like this after cd5 or maybe 6 latest.

victoria401 · 19/05/2014 10:33

Can't bloody believe it! Dh just called the docs and there are still no results! 3 weeks today and they said 10days! I want to know even if dh doesn't give a flying monkey if he knows or not only 7 days til af and I need to know if we are in with a chance or not!

The docs are going to 'look into it' and call him back but we are going to the garden centre and Tesco now and he won't want a call then!
