Hi, sorry not been more informative. I'd not heard of it either. Its quite rare. Basically his body is making antibodies against his sperm, treating them like foreign bodies. The antibody causes them to bind together in clumps so they can't fertilize an egg. Depending on the % of binding is how bad it is. He has 100% bound sperm. That means zero chance of conceiving naturally. We need to make an appointment with GP as a couple to find out what happens next. I'm not sure if with 100% normal ivf can be done. If all the sperm is clumped?! I don't know. I can't read up any more tonight. Hubby is googling away and feels like shite. Keeps appologising and saying do I still love him. Keep randomly crying. Dreading facing work tomorrow.

Sorry I'm being very self absorbed tonight. Can't see anything else around me at the moment. Gutted.

Hi all. No time to catch up fully and been away for a week so hope all is well but vic I'm so sorry. What exactly does that mean and what's next?

Blimey vicky what advice have they given you?

Af finally arrived today day 36 of a 28 day cycle abd my god the cramps are bad mainly on left side and sharp stupid body

chrissie welcome..can you not fib a bit on time frame to get seen quicker

stepmama my god sounds horrible im dreading having that done... I have a high pain threshold but hate seeing my own blood I tend to faint.

im starting to worry about gynae appointment I think they are going to tell me I need to loose weight before they will help, but no matter how hard I try to loose weight my body gets in the way. Ive got various issues including back, knees, shoulders and arms plus extreme fatigue. Just feeling like everything's againest me at the moment.

MB1985 · 22/05/2014 20:41

No idea what that means but at least when you know what the problem is you can fix it, or drink wine!! X

victoria401 · 22/05/2014 20:34

Right, I'm back from Tesco with wine. Ready to tackle this.

pH, volume, concentration, total count, progressive motility all well into normal range. 2% normal forms when meant to be 4% plus. All not the end if the world yes?

Well in the comments box was this... Significant spermMAR indicates presence of antisperm antibodies which may impair fertility.

Looking into this further.... 100% bound sperm. Basically fecked

MB1985 · 22/05/2014 19:59

Hi Chrissie, sorry af got you - none of us like her here!!

Vic big virtual hugs coming your way xoxo how bad is it? Don't forget the gp did say to repeat so it might not be as bad as you first think.

step sounds bloody awful!!! Hope you had a good bottle of wine last night chick x

Got my solid smiley today after dh wank and drive this morning so will be jumping him later :-)

Nonconformist34 · 22/05/2014 19:26

Vic - So sorry to hear your news, how's DH taken it? Really gutted for you both. Has DH made any lifestyle choices to help his sperm?

Since January my DH has lost over 3 stone, had cut down alcohol, started acupuncture and had been on Wellman pre-conception tablets for the past 12 months (plus Maca more recently). I honestly think had he had a SA 6-12 months ago his results would have been very different.

You'll have to see what the next test results are too. I know it's so hard when we've come this far and every month is so precious that the thought of waiting longer is excruciating.

victoria401 · 22/05/2014 18:35

Got the print out, things are much worse than first thought. Having a little cry :-(

chrissie44 · 22/05/2014 14:20

hello, hope it is ok to join in, i am very new to this. we have been ttc for 10 months with no success, i found out this week i am diabetic (just to add to the complexity of it all) my AF came yesterday so i guess its just a case of trying again, i feel like i am almost becoming obsessed (i hope it isnt just me) i have bought a clearblue advanced fertility monitor ready for this month and i have also considered a male semen home test from boots (has anyone tried these) just looking for support and if you have any advice ill be greatful as its too soon to see the GP and i am waiting to be referred to the diabectic preconcieve team. xxx P.s i am 25 my partner is 26

stepmama84 · 22/05/2014 14:02

thanks vic :)

victoria401 · 22/05/2014 13:07

Omg stepmama, poor you. Must have been scary. I'm a bit of a fainter to be honest with you when it comes to hospitals and tests, on loved ones as well as myself i work in a hospital by the way I hope it goes better 2nd time around x

stepmama84 · 22/05/2014 11:11

crikey, gp's are useless!
Vic sorry they are being so fumbling and not treating you both as you should be.

Went to my private clinic yesterday which was absolutely lovely. Didn't feel like a hospital at all, more like a stately home with a very apt Stag head above the grand fire place lol :)
Scan went well with all looking as it should. Lots of eggs and a big one ready to drop in my right ovary.
Then it was the hycosy…… OMG never felt a pain like it, don't want to scare any of you; I'm a small girl which is probably why. Long story short, ended up passing out and having a fit , legs akimbo, all dignity lost, surrounded by about 7 nurses, oxygen mask, blood pressure monitor and to top it off was all on my own :(
So now I have to book it all again and hope they will give me general anaesthetic otherwise it's off to the hospital for a laparoscopy. Thankfully dh will come next time.

victoria401 · 22/05/2014 10:21

I thought it had to be 3 months as that's how long the sperm take to totally renew themselves?

MB1985 · 22/05/2014 09:51

Yeah why wait 3 months? On the info dh got it did say it often needs repeating but why so long? And slightly is better than totally anyway :-)

lil1ady · 22/05/2014 09:18

Vic why do you have to wait 3 months? that's ridiculous. the fertility clinic booked both my dhs appointments when Dr ordered them and only booked them a month apart. let us know when you get the printout and we'll help you decipher what the drs are incapable of knowing Thanks

victoria401 · 22/05/2014 06:49

Hi girls. Dh's results were a bit abnormal but doc tried to give them to dh in layman terms and gave no indication on how it would affect our ttc! not that dh asked either! He is picking up a copy later. And he has to have it repeated in 3 months time. I'll be looking for any info from you guys later, help! X

MB1985 · 21/05/2014 22:32

Omg so much to catch up on!

How was gp call Vic?

Fingers crossed for you then poco

step hope all went well today

Jesse at least you are moving in the right direction now

Dh has said tomorrow, I think he's more worried than he is letting on. I'm glad I don't seem to have ov'd yet as no sex since Monday so would at least like one more shot at it this month!!!

pocopearl · 21/05/2014 09:51

I have an unscheduled lh surge :) fx

Lindsay81 · 21/05/2014 09:04

Thanks for reassuring me girls! I feel a bit less worried today although still majorly achey boobs.

Looking forward to the weekend already!

xBlueberry88x · 20/05/2014 20:15

Poco I have normally regular 28 day cycle and im not ovulating. apprently AF means nothing lol

pocopearl · 20/05/2014 19:54

That's rubbish! blue
It's really frustrating am getting af, and plans opk three times a day but never peaks all that high. But I must be ovulating to get af. Am on a 60 day cycle too which is total crap.

xBlueberry88x · 20/05/2014 19:50

Poco they wouldnt look into anything until a year if your under 35 where I am.

pocopearl · 20/05/2014 19:46

Ladies how long did you wait before going to the dr? Will I get any help as I already have a baby? Sorryto ask questions but this is all I ever think about. It's horrible, always feel that I must be such an ungrateful co was am blessed to have my ds, but still want more.

xBlueberry88x · 20/05/2014 19:18

Hey ladies,

Vicky Im glad she finally knows in a way but I do feel bad.
This evening she is googling stuff that might help and sending me loads of stuff.
Cant beleive how annoying they are being with your dh's SA.

Holly glad your bloods were ine Holly.

Lil Ive read loads about pregnacare causing problems with AF and I really do think that might be it. Apprently I havent been ovulating for ages and ive never had midcycle bleeding so I dont think its annovulatory.

Lindsay Men are stupid but we do need them. Sorry about the bleeding.

Non glad dh's sa was fine.

feel like im in limbo at the mo which is annoying.

victoria401 · 20/05/2014 16:32

Good luck with your tests tomorrow stepmama. Hope they give you some answers.

Glad all your tests were ok non. You must be so relieved that you're 'normal' Wink

Lindsay I'm sure there is nothing wrong and its just hormones mucking about. What CD are you on today?

DH is walking around with a big rain cloud above his head since he got back from work. I'm trying to be all jolly and sweet but I can't get him to crack any kind of smile. But he never talks to me about how he's feeling really. All he's said about it is "told you there'd be something wrong, didn't I". Even though we don't know if there is yet!
