Wow, I wonder how much it costs? Did you see that quads program the other night? They had ivf in Greece. I would not want quads though! Twins would be my limit I think!

I can't believe my area only do one ivf cycle. Mind you I've read that it includes putting in any embryos you might have had frozen, so I guess its more than one chance. Got to hope that we make lots of good embryos!

Doc appointment in the morning, fingers crossed we get referred soon. My clock is ticking!

Mam31 · 05/06/2014 13:49

Forgot to add check out the Dogus IVF Centre, Cyprus. Has all the info on there.

Mam31 · 05/06/2014 13:39

Hey ladies, re all of the IVF stuff. A friend of, of a friend had 3 cycles of IVF on NHS- unsuccessfully. She then heard that IVF in Cyprus had high success rates and booked in over there- she got pregnant first attempt and had a little one who is now 3. She then returned to Cyprus last year, and is due twins any day now. It may be worth looking in to, I know I'd consider it if necessary.

lil1ady · 05/06/2014 12:42

Good luck today m33r!

Don't worry about the ultrasound blue, its fine. And at least the internal one is not the full bladder one! Just lay back and think of England!

Hope you get some good news MB and lil x

lil1ady · 04/06/2014 22:35

mb fx for you. I'm 16dpo here of a usual 14/15 day lp. if AF hasn't shown herself by the morning I will test. still expecting her to show and not getting my hopes up though.

blue that's great that you've got your appointment. try and focus on the positive, you are closer to getting your baby. the ultrasound is easy enough. I would advise being prepared for going straight into the ladies after though so male sure you know where it is....they didn't give me anything to clean myself up after the first one and the walk back to the car got a bit uncomfortable!

m33r · 04/06/2014 22:00

Thanks everyone. VERY emotional but getting there. Will update you all ASAP x

Evening ladies

Good luck for tomorrow m33r

holly hopefully the form won't matter to much

one it is weird being happy when af arrives but sometimes its nice to have a new start!

Had another letter from gynae about appointment today looks like they will do a vaginal ultrasound etc while im there. Little bit worried to be honest only a couple of weeks and I might know what's wrong which sounds silly I know. Im always thinking the worst.

Hope every one is ok

MB1985 · 04/06/2014 19:39

Good luck tomorrow m33r

No sign of af yet, keep getting my hopes up then thinking don't be silly. 29 days is unusual but not unheard of for me. Tomorrow is 14 dpo but have no idea when I normally ov as only just started using cbfm Confused

lil1ady · 04/06/2014 17:44

good luck tomorrow m33r

HollyBen · 04/06/2014 16:24

Love your positive thinking m33r I really hope that turns out to be the case.

I realised this morning that the form I sent of to the fc yesterday was incomplete as I could remember when my last smear was and was going to check but forgot - sigh! I am hoping this won't mean them sending it back for completion before we get an apt. Surely that can access my records and check for themselves.
I was hoping havong done the referral would allow me to relax and go with the flow but it has just made me more anxious Sad

m33r · 04/06/2014 14:48

Thanks one. I have another work meeting then playing sport tonight then home for bed. Should get the day in. Before I know it will be 8am tomorrow morning and it'll just be a case of waiting to see... Cross everything there is a teensy tiny problem whoch they identify, fix while in there and send us home make our baby! X

Victoria, be kind to yourself and spoil yourself xxxx

onelifeonechance · 04/06/2014 08:27

Hey all,

Sorry for being quiet, I've been enjoying and wishing away my month off! AF arrived yesterday, yeay!! (First and only time I have been pleased to see her arrival!) so means can get cracking again soon.

M33r, just wanted to wish you all the best for your lap tmrw, hope it goes well, thinking of you.

There's been too much going on since I was last on to comment on things individually but it's lovely to see everyone being so supportive, we'll get there ladies, we really will.
M33r is completely right about living our 'non-baby' lives to the fullest as best we can, not always the easiest thing to do, but so important, it's what I'm focusing on, every time I do something that I won't be able to do with a baby I make myself enjoy it all the more, might only be little things like going to the cinema, or having a drink, or a spontaneous night away, but I am determined to enjoy them all whilst I can!

m33r · 04/06/2014 07:23

vic hope you're feeling better today?

My lap is tomorrow so just wishing today away. tomorrow I'll know a little bit more about what's going on...

Ha Vic I do but normally cus I buy something in the sale, get home and it doesn't fit so have a I'm hideous cry lol. On the pLUS side dh and I joined slimming world last night. Going to change the way we eat to give us the absolute best chance. Feeling positive today :-) although af will prob show her face tomorrow and it'll be all tears again

victoria401 · 03/06/2014 17:26

The price I quoted was their package of 3 cycles, there was no costing listed for 1 session. It looks like icsi is more than normal ivf anyway. All I can seem to find out, including off that web link lil, was that it is a postcode lottery in England and also case dependant. It doesn't look good for over 35's either, which I prob will be by the time it comes around.

To be honest MB, I felt the same about fertility treatment on the NHS a few years back. When that money can be spent on cancer or something. The same with boob jobs etc. Now obviously I see parenthood as a right and I should get it!

Had a random cry earlier because I bought the wrong size wrist support from the chemist. Dh couldn't see what I was crying about but he doesn't know how upset I have been all day and that just put the icing on the cake. I wouldn't normally cry over buying the wrong size! Honest!

lil1ady · 03/06/2014 17:07

I've been looking into my clinic a bit more ...Vic had me reaching for Dr Google!....and its £2850 for an ivf cycle + about £1000 for meds here. that's the bare bones one, it obv gets more expensive if other bits an pieces have to be tagged on and I can't tell if you'd have to pay extra for consultant appointments. dh and I will try ivf at least once on top of NHS allowance if it comes to it. beyond that I darent think about it.

hope you are feeling better Vic.
