Hopefully we'll see more BFPs on this one!

Hi May, yes the progesterone should be over 30 7dpo. Maybe they were just taken slightly too soon? I went on cd21 but they were 20 something so I went again on cd26 and it was 42! Can't remember cycle length, maybe a 30day. They really should do the cd1 again though, as the results are meant to be for the follicular phase, you were still in luteal phase. I was told to have my follicular bloods between cd2-5 though, went on 2/3 not sure. I'd kick up a fuss hun! Make sure you do when you go back for your next cd21.

I've been having weird symptoms the last 3 or 4 months :-( I've had a single day with red blood, like a tampons worth, with no cramps or anything. Then I've had nothing for a day or 2, then full on af with painful cramps for maybe 3 days with another 3 or 4 brown spotting. I hope this new thing isn't something wrong that might affect ivf :-(

lildottie · 23/06/2014 19:10

ah may. I think 30is "normal" min to indicate ov but that would be 7dpo so maybe ul be OK. I didn't have day1, they did amh with day "21". I think they do FSH on day 1 but can't be sure. but I think both tell the the same sort of thing. hopefully it will all come out OK on next one, but may be worth asking for amh. also clinics like rubella test done (to check you are still immune I think) and Dr did that with my day 21. don't lose hope, your just getting answers and moving fwd Thanks

maybug3 · 23/06/2014 18:27

Thanks Lil and vic and welcome metal.

Have already informed dh of all the lifestyle changes he's going to make including eating more tomato soup! Who knew!

Finally got to speak to the gp about my test results this afternoon too. After the receptionist telling me they were marked no further action the gp is actually concerned...

My day 21 which was done in day 23 of a 31 day cycle and 6dpo spec low progesterone (26 but not sure what is normal) so that is being redone.
My day 1 results looked normal until I pointed out they were actually taken on day 29 of that 31 day cycle. He isn't going to repeat this one though until he decides if it is a problem! I think it must be though as my levels on day 29 surely should not be normal for day 1!

Joy!

Sounds like a good chance we've both got issues to me!

And to cap it all off the dog is ill too!

What a great first day back from holiday!

Sorry for the pity fest...

victoria401 · 23/06/2014 15:28

Hi metalhead, think I've seen you on the buses. Sorry to hear about your mc. Must be awful. I'm also 34 and in fertility decline (!) although its a problem with my hubby that is the reason we've not conceived. I'd really like to be preg by the time I'm the dreaded 35 too :-(

Hope you have some luck soon and if you do need tests in the future, we are all experts in here by now! Lol x

My dh is on wellman May. There is nothing that can be done about his antibodies but at least we can try and improve the fellers for ivf in the future.

Metalhead · 23/06/2014 13:27

Hello ladies, do you mind if I join you all? AF got me today, and DH and I have been ttc#2 since last July. I did get pregnant in December, but sadly had a mmc in February and nothing since. So although technically we've only been ttc for 4 months since my last pregnancy, it has been a year in total with nothing to show for it!

It was my DD's 4th birthday this month, and although I'm a bit more relaxed about the whole age gap thing than I was a few months ago I have been feeling quite low the last couple of weeks. DD was conceived second cycle after coming off the pill, but I've had some problems with autoimmune conditions since her birth, which makes me worry that my chances of conceiving again or having a successful pregnancy could be affected by that.

I've been using opks and get very strong positives every month, with a pretty textbook 14-day luteal phase, but still worried something might be wrong. Have just ordered a bbt thermometer and will try temping this month. My plan is to keep going until September when I'll be 35, and if I haven't got a BFP by then go back to my GP and ask for some initial tests, as it will have been over 6 months then since my mc.

lildottie · 23/06/2014 12:19

may sorry it was bad news. the ones we were trying were fertilaid. dh hasnt been taking them for the last few months though. I expect the booze and caffeine will make a big difference though if he is normally heavy on them.

just went to that link...what a load of tosh. if I had some miracle cure for infertility as this person claims, I'd give it away for free. oh and the video repeatedly mentions motility and count but not morphology. think I'll save my money!

maybug3 · 23/06/2014 11:46

Hi all

Back from a fabulous holiday where I worked hard not to think about things but now back to reality with a bump.

DH had his appointment with the gp today to find out results of his 1st SA. As suspected not good but as I keep trying to reassure him also not the worst it could have been.

Stupid man though forgot to get a print out as I asked him and so all he could tell me was he had about 1 mill instead of the normal 8 million count and motility was 8 instead of 34.
Really not good at all!

He has now finally agreed to cut the booze and reduce his caffeine and to take whatever pills we think will help...

So ladies what do you recommend? I seem to remember a few options being tried on here - Any successes or particular recommendations?

His next test is in 3 weeks so want to get started ASAP on anything in the hope of some improvements.

Thank you in advance!

At least they had an infertile couple too who are trying to adopt, and she got all the famous sayings "when are you having kids? Don't leave it too long, you don't want to miss your window!".

Af came today, was a total surprise as I'd no idea what CD I was on! I guess that's liberating not having to chart. Still been keeping some notes to tell the consultant of course though.

Have a good birthday blue!

xBlueberry88x · 23/06/2014 09:28

vicky that is exactly why I didnt watch it...we watched columbiana instead which is just a woman killing people lol.

Have 2 days off work for my birthday gonna eat vad food and enjoy before I start exercising and eating mega healthy. Glad the weather is good.

Hope everyone is ok

m33r · 23/06/2014 07:48

Hi vic. I hate when I remember milestones like that. I remember after we dtd in the early days I used to say imagine what could be happening in body right now. That was nearly two years ago! I also started a new job and got a friend in hr to read the mat' policy to see if i get pg that month (and discussing with DH how irresponsible it would be to try before I was entitled): that was two years ago!

I last saw it on the plane to America nearly 2 years ago, which was meant to be my last trip for a while as I was getting my implant out the day after we got back. Things were very different then....

lildottie · 22/06/2014 22:58

Vic that has to be a form of self harm! stop it! Thanks

victoria401 · 22/06/2014 22:25

Watching 'what to expect when you're expecting' WHAT WAS I THINKING!? Good film but very hard right now!

victoria401 · 21/06/2014 19:27

Hi everyone

Lots of sun down here! Baked! My sister and her kids came down today and we went to a petting zoo/adventure playground type place. God they're spoiled stroppy brats. Almost put me off having kids! Although I know my upbringing would be different methods to my sisters, who is also a stroppy cow and I can see where they get it!

Going back to my middle age/retired 34 year old self tomorrow as going to the garden centre and food shopping! Although last night I went to a mind, body and soul evening with mindfulness and meditation techniques. I was surprised how much mindfulness I've already been doing without realising since we got the infertility diagnosis. I've been appreciating what we have got not thinking about what we haven't. I've been looking at the beauty of the blue skies, trees filled with birdsong and the lovely blooms in peoples front gardens as I pass on the way to the bus stop. :-)

Have a nice rest of weekend girls x

silverine · 21/06/2014 17:59

Hi all, how is everyone this weekend? It's been a bit on and off cloudy but we managed to grab some sunbathing this afternoon in the garden. trying to build up a bit of a shield before going away in under 3 weeks' time!
First poas today and bfn on a boots early test. Saving the 1 frer I have left for tomorrow when I'll be either 12 dpo (1 day early) or 9 dpo (4 days early). My temps indicated 2 possible ov days this month so still hoping (despite no symptoms - fool!)

ImaginaryHat · 21/06/2014 17:40

Hiya ladies. Just popping my head in to say hi. Not been around for a few weeks. Went on hol at the end of may and tbh just wanted a break from thinking about ttc for a while so took myself off mumsnet for a bit. Not had chance to read back yet, but just wanted to say I hope you're all getting on OK and everyone who's been having tests etc I hope they've gone well. To all those waiting for appointments I hope they come soon.

xBlueberry88x · 19/06/2014 19:18

Hey vicky he wouldnt mind but then the office will be shut.

Ive got 3 months to do the tests anyway so its not to bad

victoria401 · 19/06/2014 19:14

Hi blue, you're health should always come before work. Where I work you don't need to take time as leave for hospital appointments. Waiting longer can be detrimental to your mental health and wellbeing. I am aware that its only you in the office at the moment but your boss of all people should be understanding of the need for hospital appointments. He doesn't need to know what they're for.

hope everyone else is well and enjoying the sun x

stepmama84 · 19/06/2014 18:51

Hi blue, glad today all seemed quite positive. Fx you get an appt quickly for the hycosy. Smile

xBlueberry88x · 19/06/2014 18:40

Well ladies ive had my appointment af turned up this morning as well to make my day even better.

Dr asked lotsa questions and did an internal scan.

Ive got no lumps or growths in there.

Ive got to book a hsg and some more blood tests all needing to be on set days which I cant bloody do this month as ive already used my holiday and half days.

Dr also asked me to loose weight as it might help so appointment booked for September to check up on all results and my weight and then can decide on course of action but he didnt seem worried.

lildottie · 18/06/2014 20:56

actually I was same as non - got a phone call and was given choice of clinic and dates then they confirmed what I'd booked by phone by letter.

Nonconformist34 · 18/06/2014 20:48

Hi Vic, I was called within several weeks of referral being sent and appt was 8 weeks from then. They actually rang me up on my mobile and we were offered a date which suited us both. We could have altered it there and then if needed to which is so much easier than being sent a letter by post and then rearranging it. Luckily, our appointment is the week before we are away for two weeks.

I know what you mean with the holiday dilemma, you get to the point where you can't keep putting life on hold just in case you may be pregnant or now in our cases, in case fertility appointments come up! (You can't win).

lildottie · 18/06/2014 20:33

hi m33r been fairly busy today which has helped, but think I'm about to ov and feeling a bit miffed we can't try this month. although if I am about to ov that's a fairly short cycle for me (cd14 today) so at least AF will show up sooner so we can get going!

Vic it really is a lottery. I'd just phone drs after 2weeks to check referral got sent. then chase fortnightly! no harm in chasing.

blue did u say bfn last night? so not fmu? so not really a definitive test? so you could still be in the game? I think you see where I'm going with this Grin. fx AF stays away, at least for the appt, but preferably for 9months!

xBlueberry88x · 18/06/2014 20:19

doubt it m33r itll probably turn up with avengance tomorrow when id rather it wouldnt.
