Keep the faith newbie, it's still early to get a pos result x

newbie6 · 12/05/2014 08:57

Hi all,

Another negative, that's me 10dpo and 5 days till AF due. I realised that I have been POAS wrong for the FRER test but don't think it would affect result as I didn't have the result window facing down when I pee'd! Doubt it will make a difference but hanging on to that hope and that it is maybe just too early! Still feel nauseous but now unsure if I'm imagining symptoms!!

Another sleepless night awaits.....

Good luck to everyone else!

X

ladyflower23 · 12/05/2014 08:24

Morning everyone!! So another day begins trying not to POAS! Has anyone got any POAS news? Or any new and exciting symptoms? I had a bit of creamy CM yesterday (yum!) so got a bit excited, but then had some cramping last night, so now think that AF is imminent.
Thanks for the extra reassurance Squeaky I feel less doom & gloom that I might be doing this for a year, by the end of which I would prob be locked in rehab for my POAS addiction anyway!
Hullkat I read online somewhere that when you first stop the pill and everything is going back to normal, some women become over sensitive to the natural hormones and experience pregnancy like symptoms. It is meant to get better in following months and this month has been better for me than last. I found it a good thing to know that at least what I was feeling was real and not all in my head! Makes it even harder to accept you are not preggo when your body is in disagreement!

kitkatkaty87 · 12/05/2014 06:59

How did you get on squeaky? X

Excited for you! Hope you get a line on the frer squeaky!

Squeakybeaky · 11/05/2014 19:25

Hi Katy, as long as those lines are coming up within time limit then they are obviously picking up something. When I buy a batch I do one of them when I'm definitely not pregnant just to check them. So I did one a couple of days after my AF had finished to check them this cycle. There was definitely mo line there! So I do trust that they are picking up on something.
I haven't done another this evening but I'm going to do an FRER in the morning! Can't wait bit am feeling very nervous too :/

mymelodies · 11/05/2014 19:19

HullKat, I'm not sure for certain when she is due. Last cycle was 28 days, the months before that were 32 and 33 days.

I tested positive on CB digital dual hormone ovulation test cd 15, so from that I predicted I would have ovulated around cycle day 17 latest, but no AF and BFN yesterday. It really is torture, I've never been a patient person, funny thing is 6 months ago I would have said I'm not ready for a baby, yet now, that is all I want.

We will all get our beautiful BFP's soon enough though, I'm sure of it! :)

HullKat · 11/05/2014 18:55

Thanks Ladyflower! I'm with you on the PMT thing, I was on the pill from 19-34 so no doubt it masked most of the symptoms of PMT and I also have had the first month of all these bizarre symptoms!

Mymelodies when s your AF due? Don't torture yourself like I did and wait until your late or day that she's due.

I've just been on Amazon and bought 50 OPKs, never used them before so if anyone else is using them and has any hints/help would be much appreciated.

Kitkat/Squeaky update us tomorrow, fx still for you

Remember girls WE CAN DO THIS!! Smile

mymelodies · 11/05/2014 18:36

Hello ladies,

I had a BFN yesterday morning with a FRER at what I predicted to be 14dpo. AF still hasn't shown up, but I keep feeling like she is but when I go to check there is nothing but creamy CM.

I don't think I can face another BFN just yet, I think I'll wait until at least wednesday to test if AF doesn't arrive before.

This is my 4th cycle, and I never realised how stressful TTC is, I always thought it would happen straight away! Naive I know! I was so teary yesterday after BFN and very moody with DH :(

I'm gonna start temping with the next cycle to try to pin point ovulation.
In the meantime though I'm still holding onto some hope!

It's nice to know I'm not the only one feeling the stress of it all though. :)

kitkatkaty87 · 11/05/2014 18:35

Hey squeaky and girls, did 2 more strip tests this evening with same urine on both and can see v faint lines on both again. But I just don't trust them. Wondering if I just got a duff batch. Will keep testing over the next few days and see if they get darker. I just have to be patient and not get my hopes up. Have you done any more this evening squeaky?x

Squeakybeaky · 11/05/2014 18:23

In RL I don't know anybody that has struggled to conceive their second. Hope that gives you a little bit of hope too ;)

Katy are you going to do another test this evening? X

ladyflower23 · 11/05/2014 18:04

Squeaky forgot to say, was pleased to see you got BFPs second cycle with you first 3 pregnancies. It was second cycle with my first, but all I keep hearing is people who got preg quickly first time then took a year to conceive their second! Has got me really worried about how long I've left it to try again! It has given me a bit of hope!

ladyflower23 · 11/05/2014 17:52

Sorry to hear that you think you're out for this month Hullkat. Last month was my first EVER month of PMT in my whole life. I felt sick, lightheaded, loads of cramping and really sore boobies. Was convinced I was pregnant. Did about 6 tests, but all BFN and then AF came. Bodies can be so cruel Sad. Swore I would be cool this month, but as you can see I am not! I don't understand why ttc drives us so crazy. Maybe it's something to do with wanting it so much and lack of control, but I am sure hormones are defo involved, it is always the run up to ov when I go crazy! Men just don't get it. I don't let me DH in on all the stuff I get up to, he would prob worry for my head!
I'm 9DPO obsessed. Don't know if feeling sick after exercise is a symptom. I never do any!

HullKat · 11/05/2014 16:49

Obsessed, I understand where you're coming from, and this month will have taught us lots about our bodies, what to look for, signs, symptoms etc. Now, I feel that I've learned a lot about myself and that I'm never going to put myself through that agony again, but no doubt, I'll be the same next month!
It makes me wonder whether the added stress of it all will help or hinder. I've now vowed to myself that I'll NEVER test early. Just need to stick to it!!
Your OH doesn't have to know everything about how you feel, they're men remember, they're not built like us! When they say "well, just wait and see" that's fine for them, however, us girls seem to have this mechanism that makes us not want to wait, and wonder, and worry, and just google this, and that, and we end up with all sorts of ideas lol!!

I'll certainly keep on here though, it's a great resource and support mechanism. Especially for a newbie, first-timer like me Smile

Hullkat x

obsessed1 · 11/05/2014 16:26

Thanks for the heads up HullKat, will keep an eye on that thread also.

Yes, this is v helpful for me also. I think I've freaked my DH out as we only officially decided to start trying this month - I've been wanting to try for ages but he was more concerned with financial practicalities. When I came home Friday saying I thought I should POAS I think he was genuinely really surprised. Anyway I think he took the BFN as a final answer, and seemed kind of relieved... Meanwhile, I'm still obsessing and don't feel I can let him in on the full extent of it as it'll scar him even more and put him off trying again.

HullKat · 11/05/2014 16:10

Yep, all true obsessed, also popped over to April/May ttc thread that kitkat has set up, may see some of you on there??

It's great to be able to chat to people going through the exact same thing, I must be driving my DB crazy! He was convinced I was preggo too. If I'm still this bloated, BBs are still sore etc in a few days I may go to docs, I'll keep an eye on whether or not AF has just bobbed in for a cup of tea or if she's here for a few days visit, I fear the latter though Sad

Awaiting some good news from someone soon x

obsessed1 · 11/05/2014 16:02

ahhhh HullKat, so very sorry to hear that. I can imagine how gutted you feel. I know it's not much consolation, but at least as you say now you know for sure and can hopefully enjoy a week or so out of this constant torment. ffx for next month, hey? xxx
