I definitely post more than I talk about! It's so much easier to type to people you don't know than talk about difficult things with the ones you care about - I did try this afternoon with DH whilst walking the dog but it didn't go well.

To be honest Barking I have such cold hands that I just used then to numb the area but tbh I think location is definitely a factor; I don't know about the others but I found that the closer I got towards my belly button, the more it hurt. Also loving the story about the door.

Hope everyone is enjoying Eurovision; celebrating with a couple if glasses of red while I can.

funkymonk · 10/05/2014 21:18

Hahaha RP! Your post made me lol!

Rp its the expression on the removal.guys face. Hehe

I agree re sharing. Such a relief to be able to without terminally embarrassing self or.others

RevoltingPeasant · 10/05/2014 21:05

Yes Nolly, many books! We are seriously considering building an extension in future for them. I am very lucky, my whole job is talking to bright young things about books and writing my own also sodding office politics, but never mind

Funky I normally OV CD16 or 17. Didn't know that about the steak-eggs. Argh, yet another thing to worry about!

Thanks for the reassurance on jizz shootage/ motility. We tried preseed once and DH really hated it. Maybe I can shoot it up though. Don't think EWCM is a problem though.

Does anyone ever find themselves typing things on here that you never in a million years thought you would share with a bunch of strangers?

nolly3 · 10/05/2014 20:31

Interesting re b6 funky. I get 2-4 days spotting too. May try it this month and see

funkymonk · 10/05/2014 20:07

Agh yes Beaky! Good dream. I'm partial to a bit of Jennifer Anniston myself.

I've not found anything yet that says what exactly they class as late ovulation. Will keep searching. My luteal phase is 10 or 11 days which I think would be ok, but have at least 3 dYs spotting beforehand. With the right amount of b6 I can get that to 14 days with no spotting but often end up over doing it and ending up with a 18 day luteal phase.

Also re late ov (sorry for.hogging) do you guys have varying lps? According to ff mine varies between 13 and 16 days. Dr Google diagnoses.medical freakitude.

nolly3 · 10/05/2014 19:26

Full stops! Jesus

nolly3 · 10/05/2014 19:26

Impressed with all the diy Rp and barking. My Dp is equally impractical - where the 'handy man' stereotype came from god knows.

I ovulate on day 17 funky. Not heard of steak-tough issues though. Surely refers to very late on eg cd30+? Let's hope so anyway.

Laughed at dream beaky! So random. Academic.jobs - often sound.interesting, usually in reality a mixture if.office.politics and administration like.most things I imagine. Still at least you can wear pj's and.no.one.would bat an.eyelid. RP you get to read lovely books! Brilliant. Health pol V dry at.times.

Really jealous because! Hope it tips the balance for you. Pt is my dream.

Hope stabbings goes ok.for you barking and thinking of you lady...

Waves to everyone else! Sorry for all the. Fullatops, my phone is stuffed

TheRainDrops · 10/05/2014 18:41

rp ditto the above, but you can always stick your legs up the nearest wall too to be sure it's headed the right way!

Off out for Eurovision fun at my bestie's tonight - let's hope we don't get nul points again!

funkymonk · 10/05/2014 18:35

Yeah, rp do you use any sperm friendly lube to help it on it's way? You can get applicators to use with both conceive plus and preseed. Squirts the lube high up ready and waiting for the swimmers.

OP posts:
funkymonk · 10/05/2014 18:34

I've always thought that it didn't matter when you ovulated as it was the time from ovulation to period that was most important. However, I recently obtained a letter from my consultant to GP and it said blah blah blah, that I do seem to ovulate rather late in my cycle. I've done a bit of reading on this and seem to be coming across information that later ovulation can mean the egg is too mature and therefore less penetrable to sperm. I guess like if a steak is overcooked, it becomes tough and harder to get your teeth into! Has anyone else come across info like this? It seems to be another thing to add to the list of issues! 4 now. (my blood, my shorter luteal phase, my late ovulation and DH low (ish) morphology). Hmm

OP posts:
BecauseIsaidS0 · 10/05/2014 18:30

RP, as long as you've got enough stretch cervical mucus for the boys to swim upstream, I don't think it should be a problem!

BecauseIsaidS0 · 10/05/2014 18:28

I do! Lately it has been CD19. My shortest cycles are 31 days, which would mean CD17 as I'm pretty sure my luteal phase is 14 days, but if I'm stressed or a bit tired, it will happen later or even not happen, and that's when I get the mad 40+ days cycles.

funkymonk · 10/05/2014 18:23

Does anybody here ovulate much later then day 14? I'm always day 17 and I've been reading something about late ovulation.

OP posts:
funkymonk · 10/05/2014 18:21

Well done I meant, obviously.

OP posts:
funkymonk · 10/05/2014 18:21

That's an interesting link *bushy'. Postcode lottery so unfair.

rp does he mean the jizz? As long as it's getting in at all then I don't imagine it's a problem? Only takes one and all that. Do you lie down for a while after? I don't know if this is evidenced but something I always do. Well don't on a productive day painting by the way.

OP posts:
RevoltingPeasant · 10/05/2014 18:06

Hope you are all having good Saturdays! Am exhausted having been painting since 9 am - first prepping the area including stripping off lots of gloss paint and then doing undercoat and first coat. The first coat looks a bit glutinous and patchy so I'm hoping it actually dries okay.....

We dtd last night (CD14) and all well, except DH said he was not sure how far up it went. Argh! Apparently he has often had that concern. Is this something I should be worrying about? Fucksake.

greatbigbushybeard · 10/05/2014 16:51

funky snap!I was just watching 'a family of my own' too. I find it amazing how fantastic and giving the foster parents are. The gay couple last year were amazing too. The programme makes me feel sad though because of all the failed Ivf treatments and all the heartache you know these couples have been through. As much as I admire them and it does put adoption in a positive light, I don't think, at the moment,it's something I could do. Dh would not be up for it either. I think for now, if Ivf doesn't work then it'll just be us and that's it...and maybe a nice ginger cat.

My dh sent me a link to this article. It's pretty amazing what people will spend on Ivf.
www.theguardian.com/money/2014/may/10/ivf-nhs-fertility-postcode-lottery-cut-costs

I never bothered icing either, found it the same as boodle some days a bit ouchier than others. Seems a bit of a distant memory now. We pretty much stayed close to home so never had to worry about doing the jabs elsewhere. The times we did go out I either injected before or when we came back.

barking your door story made me laugh, sounds exactly like the kind of thing that happens in our house!! My dh is currently battling the elements trying to refelt the shed roof, he is also rather grumpy! I think I may just go and do my planning to be out of the way. Eurovision tonight yay! I really like our song and have a right case of ear worm from it, keep going round the house singing it.

BoodleDoo · 10/05/2014 16:22

Sorry about the extra 'not' that crept in there!

BoodleDoo · 10/05/2014 16:22

Barking, I never bothered to numb the area for my jabs and it really didn't bother me. It was sometimes a little tiny bit ouchy but not certainly not enough to make me be arsed to get ice out of the freezer! I also did lots of jabbing out and about, including: a charity quiz night, the local Chinese restaurant and, best of all, a close family member's wedding!

funkymonk · 10/05/2014 15:44

Hi Berries.

Barking I hope you're not still sat being the back door!

Silly question I'm sure, but how are you doing today lady. I have been thinking about you a lot and wishing that the outcome had been different for you this time.

Bushy when is your otd?

HB I don't think I had congratulated you on your good egg withdrawal. Is Tuesday et day?

I'm sat after walking the dog watching Wanted. Family of my own from last week.

Rosie, sorry for your bereavement. I hope you are ok.

RP made up that your dp has finally got his act together. I can imagine it's very embarrassing for then handing over a pot of their stuff (or cock snot as you like to say!!!) as it's literally telling them that they've just been up to no good. Us ladies have to have far more fiddling around with though so it is annoying when the won't just get on with it. That's really bad raindrop that your dh now has to do it again!

Welcome back Pip! At start of July I've been with the berries for a year. Pip, Happy, Boodle, Barking, Lady and Gillster were here before me. A couple of months after me I believe RP arrived, closely followed by Feather and Wino? Though there have been quite a few diffings since I arrived (merk thunder and tally were newly diffed, then came boom and kitty, then foody, charming yorkie and bunny with barking, feather and I losing one along the way). We will all be gone soon! We have a good rate of berries leaving so I'm sure things will continue that way!

1dpo here. Planning of a bit of action today and tomorrow just incase.

barkingtreefrog · 10/05/2014 13:58

beaky and tiger stabbing is going ok ta. Going to be out of the house this evening though so got to take it all with me and not sure if I'll have access to ice.. I'm used to numbing the area first, it'll be like doing it for the first time again if I can't do that!!

I'm currently being security as DH is out taking the dog for a walk and we have no back door as he's half way through fitting the new one.... I decided as it was raining today it was silly to put up the new door before it had at least one coat of varnish as it came untreated. So I varnished it this morning. DH couldn't wait for it to dry so went ahead and chiselled out the space for the hinges and the sawdust just stuck all over the door. So it'll need sanding down and varnishing again. ^^

I'm supposed to be leaving in half an hour but I want a shower first. Not sure leaving the back door totally open is a great idea though...

greatbigbushybeard · 10/05/2014 11:21

Poor lady, that's awful. I was catching up on the thread holding my breath for you.

happy grr at your instadiffer colleague, by my calculation she tried all of 2 mths! Good lord, people just do not realise what it is like for us do they!!

I had a sex dream last night!! Maybe my subconscious is trying to tell me something!! I'm staying away from all of that until past test date, although our notes from the clinic say it's fine to. The nurse joked it was written by a man!!

tigerdog · 10/05/2014 10:45

rp that is good news about your DH's appointment. I bet he is just very nervous about it.

beaky I'm at the hairdressers now. Always get talked out of having as much cut off as planned before I get there! I have also been having crazy dreams - often seem to towards the end of the 2ww. Weirdly, two nights in a row I dreamed that the dog got hurt, then a day later she actually did. Coincidence or some kind of premonition?! I'm slightly freaked out by it.

gil I watched if too. It didn't make me cry as much as the some of the others but I do find them very emotional to watch. I'd like to adopt but not sure OH is fully on board with it.

Wow because! Very jealous! How will you spend your time?

barking it started as a beautiful morning here but it's tipping down now so I'd expect rain to be on the way! How's the stabbing going?

Bushy how are you getting on?
