Natty, I believe, but don't know where I got this from!, that nothing can 'get through' to the egg until 10 days after implantation, as that is when it starts to share your blood supply. Could be totally wrong though! With this theory I try not to drink in the week leading up to AF. Like I say, could be wrong, anyone?

MrsMcJnr · 30/09/2006 10:27

Trace - I have everything crossed for you. I read somewhere that a sore throat can be a sign don't ask me how are why though. Keep those temps up girl!!

feedmenow · 30/09/2006 09:54

P.S. Sorry to barge in on this thread - I know you've all known each other for a long time and have a lot of history so I don't mean to interrupt or anything...........

feedmenow · 30/09/2006 09:53

Morning everyone. Have just been reading the advice for Trace and all this stuf about implantation bleeding. I'd never even heard of that before I came to MN! Well, I said AF had arrived yesterday but only to the extent of me using panty liners as no need for anything bigger. Would I be being really stupid to think this could be anything other than AF? This is first AF since coil removed so I expected it to be really heavy. Anyone got an opinion????

Natty1806 · 30/09/2006 08:39

Fingers crossed for you trace, only 4 days to go.

This month i am trying not to drink in the two week wait, does anyone else do this? I just had a thought, not scientific but could the egg start to fertilize on its way down and then by getting drunk you body doesn't allow it to implant? Or does that sound bollocks?? Same with extra caffine etc???

trace2 · 30/09/2006 08:06

moring ladies still no more bleeding yet, ( but it is only 11dpo, and my temp still high, but i have woke up with a stonking sore throt, so i guess thats why my temp still high.

iam not testing until af does not come day afteraf due, i will admit i feel diffrent this morning

Thank you.....I've got to go now but i'll have a look tomorrow or Sunday to see how you're getting on.

When should your AF be due?

I had implantation bleed 4 days before AF due with ds.
Used about half a tampon if that's any use for you to know!!!!

ShowOfHands · 29/09/2006 13:46

Yeah but you have a super-lovely boy to take your mind off it! He looks very alert. How are you recovering?

Coriander73 · 29/09/2006 13:45

Thank you...

Showofhands, I'm in wet & miserable Suffolk!!!

ShowOfHands · 29/09/2006 13:23

Hi all!

Coriander, that's one cute little boy you have there.

Trace, I really do hope it's implantation and not af. I didn't have any pg symptoms that early on apart from some very mild cramping. Sore boobs started at about 5wks. This time I had my first bfp at 10dpo too. Will keep everything crossed for you, it's horrible not knowing. Whatever happens, I hope you feel better soon.

Has anybody heard from pussycat, hope things are okay with her after yesterday and hopefully the jiggery pokery does the trick.

Signing off from a wet, cold, miserable and stormy Norfolk.

Natty1806 · 29/09/2006 13:23

he is so cute ....

I want one

Sorry get a bit carried away, he is truly lovely corri - well done, birth story sounds like a nightmare. x
