pinkranger · 08/09/2006 11:01

I would say at least half way there

coggy · 08/09/2006 10:57

.................and I am STILL not..............Oooops!

I have had a bath and washed my hair and now I am plucking my eyebrows........does that count as being nearly dressed????!!

pinkranger · 08/09/2006 10:56

PMSL at juicy Lucy !!

ShowOfHands · 08/09/2006 10:54

Not dressed, you slattern!

Angsthase, I'm keeping everything crossed for you. I hope neither you nor coggy have to go down that route.

Anyone got exciting plans for the w/end?

coggy · 08/09/2006 10:54

It has turned her into Juicy Lucy!!!!!!!!

pinkranger · 08/09/2006 10:53

i have been giggling way reading your past thread!!!

LOL angs about your dh running to turn of tv!!

Can i ask a question - What does the grapefruit juice do??

Hope you are all well
Happy fridy!!!!

coggy · 08/09/2006 09:52

I have Bubbly's diary ready to read through too.
T'was a good idea for her to do that to help us!!

I really must go and get dressed!!!!

Angsthase · 08/09/2006 09:50

But I know what you mean about being scared. Hoping and praying that will get PG this month or next so I don't have to go down the IUI route, but will defo give it a go if not PG by Oct.

The first thing I intend to do before my appt is read Bubbles diary to get clued up for my appt.

Have a lovely day at your wedding tomorrow SOH, I know what you mean about little things.

Happy Friday everyone!

coggy · 08/09/2006 09:45

Oh dear SOH....it did sounds a bit like that didn't it!!!
ROTFL!!!!!

I am so pleased for you and your BFP bless you.
What a lovely DH buying you a new bag too.

I pointed pout the flowers that I bought myself the other day to my DH and he kindof giggled a bit??!!!
Hmmmm.............embarrased, guilty...or just laughing at me??!!!

coggy · 08/09/2006 09:42

PSML at your DH!!!!!!
That's really bad!!!

I know it's selfish of me....but I'm SO glad that we will be going through this together at similar times.

I am really nervous and disappointed to get to this stage.
After I had my ds everyone said that I would prob fall pg very quickly (often happens after m/c apparently??!!) so I NEVER thought that I'd have to go back to the fertility clinic.

It's bad enough going back there for scans and jabs but this is something I had written off when I was pg before.

BUT......I do really appreciate the opportunity I have and I know that others would kill to be in my situation.
I wouldn't turn it down.....just worried.

Sorry...hope my ramblings make sense there.

ShowOfHands · 08/09/2006 09:39

lol at your "it might be just the push we need to scare us into BD every day!!!!!!!!!! " coggy. I can see you and Mr Coggy now "we really do have to do it don't we?", "maybe it's better if we close our eyes and do it as quickly as possible", "oh no you read all these things about the dangers of it", "should we take rescue remedy first?"!! It's almost funny that as a hormonal 17/18yr old sex is just that, sex. Then you get older, things get in the way, fertility issues develop and sex is this big scary thing desingned to fool us.

I know what you mean about burying your head in the sand though. I should imagine that a lot of the women on the ttc threads are very adept at sticking their fingers in their ears and shouting "la la la I'm not listening". Have you read bubblez IUI diary? If IUI isn't for you, it is okay to say no or just to admit you aren't ready for it just yet. It is very invasive and stressful for you and your dh. I hope it doesn't have to come to that but remember you don't have to do it just because it's perceived as 'the next step' (don't want to sound like I'm speaking out of turn, but you don't sound "ready" for it just yet- ignore me if I'm wrong!).

How's everybody else this morning? AF is now officially late in the SOH household and I'm still pg. Did a First Response test I had lying around this morning and it was big, fat, pink and immediate. Plus my temp has shot up to a whole other level. And it's Friday, I'm going to a wedding tomorrow, got a nice frock to wear and DH bought me a new bag yesterday. Simple things, eh?

Happy Friday all!
xx

Coggy, my talk in Oct with cons is also re IUI. I think we get 3 shots at it and 1 IVF, but I have to pack them all in before my 40th next June, or I loose out, but timing DH being home and me OV'ing at the same time will be a mare.

At least I don't have to worry about DH performing to porn (came home unexpectedly last week and caught him watching it) It was hilarious watching him race to switch off the TV - I've never seen him run so fast!! LOL

coggy · 08/09/2006 09:27

See you later.
X

Natty1806 · 08/09/2006 09:24

Oh i feel like a celeb, but think i am following you as well. LOL

Yeah i am going to try so hard to do the dead every day around the right time when i start clomid this will be the first time in 14 months that i will have had a right time so am going to put 100% effort in and then if it works and i do ovualte at least when i get a BFN i will know i have given the first month my best shot.

Yeah maybe as it is NHS you will have a little wait.

You never know though you may even be successful this month and save you the bother that would be nice

Anyway off to get ready and go food shopping. x

coggy · 08/09/2006 09:21

Hey.....I think I am chasing you around MN this morning!!!

Hope you don't mind your own little Friday morning stalker!!!!

If I need it....then I need it!
Feel a bit sorry for my DH but then he should have got on with it a few more times in the past eh??!!!

I was hoping to have a few extra months after talking to cons to see if he could come up with any other less invasive ideas.

I guess we are only talking about having it....I may still have to wait a few months and it might be just the push we need to scare us into BD every day!!!!!!!!!!

Natty1806 · 08/09/2006 09:18

Do you know what the satisitcs are? Am sure the consultant will put you at ease, would you prefer not to have it? It is your choice at the end of the day is there no other drugs apart from clomid that could have increase this LH phase?

Just an idea but maybe have a shot at it and if you hate every second of it and it is not successful for you why not try a chinese herablist (sp?) as i think they maybe able to increase this phase for you, or try both together.

Just some idea's hope it doesn't come across as telling you what to do.

x

coggy · 08/09/2006 09:11

That sounds like it's doing a load of good already.
Excellent!

PMSL at your last post!!!
My DH will have to do it without porn thank you very much!!!!

Only joking..............I think he's going to need everything he can get!!!!!!

I feel disappointed a bit that we can't do it on our own especially as we did before and I was expecting to again (with clomid help).
I also feel like it's not really going to happen which is probably why I am scared that now it is getting harder to ignore!!!!
Does that make sense?

I quite like burying (sp?) my head in the sand about things!!

Appointment (rather brilliantly) is on the same day as my chat to the consultant...they've come up trumps for me at last!!!
See the consultant late morning and then onto this IUI chat (with someone???!!!) straight after lunch.

Natty1806 · 08/09/2006 09:05

Yeah they would coggy but you have to be 100% sure you are not pregnant so don't think you could take them.

I am not sure if it is them or just having a week off work but i feel calmer within myself and for the first time in god knows how many months a spot has not made an appearance. They were coming up daily one would go and another one would appear so as it is the hormone that i am lacking due to not ovualtion maybe the spots have been because of my imbalance.

Natty1806 · 08/09/2006 09:01

Coggy with all that you have been through i pretty sure you can deal with this babe, am sure he will do his dead and then once that is collected you will pop up on the bed rather than sitting there waiting while he watching/looks at porn in the toilet, shame the doctors aren't kind enough to give IUI ladies and gents a side room to have a bit of fun so it's not all so clinical.

When is your appointment? How do you feel about it apart from being scarred? What about DH is he being supportive?

x

coggy · 08/09/2006 08:59

Yes...me again!!

Natty...I just thought....I should take some of your tablets!!!
That would defo lenghten my LP wouldn't it??!!!
Any sign of AF yet?

coggy · 08/09/2006 08:54

LOL at marathon - you're right my little petrified friend.

coggy · 08/09/2006 08:53

Yeah - I suppose if the diet is all done for you and DH is doing it to get his sperm going then it would be good.

I'm a bit anti 'diets' at the moment IYSWIM!!!!!!

Glad the grapefruit's working Andi - are you pre-seeding and everything else too this month?

The clinic phoned yeterday pm to say I have an appointment to discuss IUI....AAARRRGGGHHHHH!!
If DH finds it hard sometimes to perform under pressure at 'the right time of the month' then how the heck is he going to squirt into a pot in the hospital each month????!!!!!!!!!

I can just imagine lying there with my legs in the air waiting...............and waiting............and waiting!!!!!!!

I am NOT looking forward to this!!!

Angsthase · 08/09/2006 08:51

Andi - I took grapefruit juice and coughmed, plus EPO before OV and it definately made a difference, but I don't know which one was more effective.

Baby Race - mine is definately more of a marathon than a 100m dash LOL

andi0411 · 08/09/2006 07:41

Thanks coggy- it looks like the right kind of cm- there must be something in this grapefruit juice thing.

Natty1806 · 07/09/2006 19:33

I would be interested in the diet one, we have tried acupunture but it got a bit costly so i would be willing to try that one as well.
