Hi ladies , was wandering if anyone else is ttc with pcos and if you have any tips / success stories . I'm highly stressed as I've been ttc for 3 years now and it just seems like there's no hope . Any comments advice would be appreciated :)

Yes good luck to you. I think you would be able to at least try something else first, it's your body!! Good luck!!!

Linzih88 · 23/04/2014 16:32

I'm going back on the 1st May as I'm not happy with the way she's treating the whole thing I've spoken to so many people with the same things as me and they've been given other things to try before IVF as you say clomid . I'm hoping my return visit will make her look into other options for me as it just doesn't seem right to me at all? My mum has pcos and was given clomid and were talking 25 years ago so things have advanced alot since then so you would think so have the doctors . Fingers crossed x

My hormones where tested normal too, but I was all over the map with my cycle. It's too bad she won't give it a go :(. I have a friend who did clomid and IUI way before IVF. There are so many other things to try first. Good luck!!!! :)

Linzih88 · 23/04/2014 16:23

Thanks for the comment great to hear a success story. Unfortunately my fertility doc won't prescribe me clomid as she says my hormones are at a normal level at clomid would over stimulate me . Fingers crossed when i get IVF next year it's a positive x

I also suffer from pcos but there is hope!! I have 4 kids, each one except the first I used clomid. With the 4 I used clomid and acupuncture. I highly recommend the acupuncture. The longest it took me after being on clomid was 7 months. I never had regular cycles either, so clomid regulated me and made me ovulate. My youngest is now 2 and I am trying for another but just whatever happens happens, kinda thing now I won't go on clomid again. For some reason my cycles are clock work now and I have been doing OPK and getting positives, although I know I may still not be ovulating. Hope I was kinda helpful!

Ttc is such a stressful process , I always though is be one if the lucky ones and fall pregnant straight away unfortunately this is not the case . 3 years and still no luck and pcos has just made things even more confusing for me, I don't know how regular your cycles are ladies but Mine have always been regulate apart front the past few months I've no idea what is going on with them . I've been researching loads and I've seen done great reviews for reflexology don't now wether any of you have tried it? I have my first session on the 7th June so I'll keep you updated to see if it helps any. Inositol ? I've never even heard of this ill give anything a whirl . Hopefully we will all have a miracle sometime soon . Thanks for all your comments and advice ladies x

I have PCOS and had 3 years of non protective sex with hubby2b.. no sign of pregnancy, We married in June 2013 and by Aug 27th I was pregnant and it was down to Inositol (www.pcosdietsupport.com/supplements/inositol-and-pcos/)
I can honestly say it was the only thing we had done differently.

I sadly lost him at 19 weeks but I am now back on Inositol and awaiting to hopefully fall lucky again.
I hope it helps some of you ladies.

Hi
I suffer from this and have another condition been trying since last August my hubby and I got married. We hoping it will be this year. My mum took five years to have me without any medical conditions so I hope I have more luck. When I ask my gp he said come back in year so we wasn't impress as now we still no where near and had no advise. I been looking on google getting what I can in terms of knowledge. My time of months are odd with some in past not coming to 2 months late or longer through it more like 4-6 weeks now. I wish my gp done some tests as they going to of it in August when I go back. We would love to have children but we have plan to leave and live abroad if we do not through we could still do this with a child. I think it early days but glad I found this site.

Same here I hope you get some answers!

Linzih88 · 20/04/2014 20:02

Yeah that's how me and my parent feel like they just can't be bothered and the easiest option for them is to pass us onto Ivf clinic . Thanks that's a good idea and I'll definatley be asking about the icsi . I appreciate your advice fingers crossed :)

It just sounds like they are giving you very vague information. Go in with a list of questions. Write them down as and when you think of them!

Linzih88 · 20/04/2014 19:54

Aww I'm hoping that a miracle happens and I fall pregnant naturally IVF seems like such a scary procedure (one I'm willing to to take if all else fails) thanks for the comment and good luck :)

I'm not usual for someone with PCOS. I got pregnant after 4.5 months of ttc. Plus I was 39 when I got pregnant, 40 when I had dd. I didn't even have gestational diabetes, and a reasonable pregnancy. We won't go into the labour and and up to 6 weeks afterwards, but that wasn't down to PCOS. We have decided not to push our luck and try for a second! Despite my obstetrician saying she would support me through a second pregnancy.

Good luck though with ttc

woodwaj · 20/04/2014 19:50

I'm not too sure I think it's similar to ivf but not quite as intense
