TTC1, cycle 4... am convinced this month will be the month. I have reduced my exercise (was doing tooooooo much before I think), eaten better (ish), drunk a lot less and relaxed more.

Anyone else in for some optimism?

BFP guarenteed sometime around 26th April Grin

Well I am pretty sure I ovulated yesterday so jumped on DH even though we didn't get home til 1230 last night and had to be up early this morning. A few more days of shagging then I'll be well into the 2ww.

How is everyone doing? Has anyone taken any supplements to support fertility? I am taken a general pregnancy/conception supplement butbhave been reading about wild yams too? Has anyone heard about these?

I'm hoping cycle 4 is it! I used to run 5 miles about 4 times a week and this month I have stopped. I'm going for a brisk walk about 3 times a week and it's probably 4 miles.
I'm finding it really hard, I am very jealous of runners in the park, I'm trying it this month and if it doesn't work I'm going to get back running, feeling flabby already, although that could be the extra food I seem to be eating now I have more time!

For what it's worth, we tried for nearly two years (I'm 32 and DH is 40) and in the couple of months before I did conceive I started running round the park for just 15 mins in the morning, 2-3 times a week. I was fairly unfit before though and sounds like you guys are in much better shape. This will make me sound like a crazy hippy, but part of me believes being outside around the grass and the trees helped. I also finally went to the docs the month before I conceived and got initial fertility tests done, which came back OK and that relaxed me a lot. Getting pregnant is very psychological I think. The latent fear that there might be 'something wrong' weighs heavier on you than you think. My husband, however, disagrees with both of these points and maintains that I fell pregnant straight after be bought a 2 seater sports car (which he has now had to sell).

I was doing a 30 minute walk 6 days a week, plus 2-3 exercise classes and 2-3 5-10k hill runs. I have read various sources, some say you can carry on as normal with no effect and others to cut down by different amounts. Anyway, I felt like I was putting too much stress on my body and I also do a stressful job, so ihave cut down- am still walking 6 days a week but am doing an easy cycling session 2-4 times and 2ish yoga sessions a week now, and I feel a lot better for it. Also my ovulation symptoms have returned which were missing the last two months when I was exercising particularly heavily. But I am now covered in spotsAngry

Me! Cycle 4 (officially) too. Determined this will be it... I hope TTC#1 also.

Hey! Ttc#1, only second cycle but feeling hopeful! Am thinking of cutting down the exercise (if I can bring myself to!) How muchdo you currently do? I do a lot of running and do wonder what kind of impact this might have on ttc
