For those starting TTC in April

We've decided to start trying for no.3, but af is due in 3 days so I think I've missed the boat for this month

I'm considering conceive plus I've heard good things about it!

And hello Brunmiegirl15! I can so understand how u would feel crushing disappointment if AF appears on cycle 1 as, like me, ur so excited to have just started ttc! Doctors do say it can take a year and that's normal I have to keep reminding myself this. But u have to remember it will happen when it wants to so u have to be patient.
I know it's hard! But we'll all get our bfp's eventually and to have support off here rele helps :)
Just enjoy all the baby dancing u get to do! :p

From the posts I have seen on here it is possible to get a BFP on 9-10dpo but then some people don't get a BFP until 2 weeks after AF was due!!

Hey ladies, I'm TTC #1 cycle #1 in April too!! :-) sooo excited and basically shagged like rabbits around ovulation day. Am now on the 2ww and its driving me crazy!!!!!! I know you are supposed to POAS 14 post ovulation but can you realistically do it any earlier?

Am a bit worried though about being 37 and how long it might take. Like other posters, when I was at school - an all girls school no less - we were pretty much told you even looked at a boy you got pregnant. Yeah it appears not!! I tell myself I'm not expecting much on cycle 1 but I do I know I will feel crushing disappointment if AF appears.
I need to get a grip as this could be a long journey!!!!!!

Kitkat, cm changes helped me determine when I actually ov! That's why I'm certain it happened yesterday. As Ducky23 Said, have a read about that. If I don't get my bfp this month then I'm deffo gonna start monitoring cm

Ohhh kitkat, have you read about observing cm to see when your ov? Maybe that will help

I knowwww that would be toucher!!! It's only been 7 dpo tomorrow and it feels like it's been FOREVER!!! Slowest 14 days of my life.

I have already poas, I don't know why, I don't know what I was expecting to see. Like I was waiting for a miracle and I would get a BFP ridiculously early.

If your not sure about your cycle length or when you ov then try waiting 2 weeks after DTD and then take one

Your supposed to ovulate 14 days before your AF so you take a test when your AF is due and if it's a BFN and still no AF try another a week later. I've read on here about a lot of people getting their BFP's 9dpo but then some haven't got them for weeks after AF is due. I've done so much research!

I think that the best time is when AF is 5 days late tho. Don't think i can wait that long

I've brought a load from asda their the strips. 2 in a pack for £1 so I've brought a lot!!!

Well that's what we got taught as a teen! 'Dont have unprotected sex you'll get pregnant!' But little did we know, there's actually only a couple of days in your cycle where you can get pregnant and that's if your lucky! Lol

See I wasn't sure whether we should be DTD every day but I read in some places that as sperm can live for up to 5 days inside you every other day should be ok, and apparently it takes 48 hours for a man to build up a decent amount of sperm or somethig.

Who bloody knew all this TTC malarkey is so confusing!!!! Back in the day I just thought do it without protection and get pregnant. Mental! Haha

Well my doctor said I should ov probably 7 days after having my implant out so I sort of went by that and bd very day for the week lol but I noticed yesterday my cm was very different and like what they call 'egg white' and I remembered everywhere said that meant ovulation was happening. I did have cramps as well past 2 days. So I'm sure I must have ov yesterday. So now I'm going in that :s but we never bd the couple days before only yesterday and will again today. Just hope we still have a chance of catching it!

I used then everyday from when my AF stopped, this was as my cycle before this was 3 weeks :-/ bit then I was told you have to do them twice a day as some surges only last 12 hrs and you may miss it doing it only once a day. I just got a pack of 40 from eBay really cheap.

As well as them we have been DTD every other day and when I got the positive opk we DTD 3 days in a row.
