Good luck Smile with everyone on here surely we should get a few BFP's!!! Would they all be Xmas babies?

strawberrypicker · 13/04/2014 15:49

We are ttc this month! I came off Microgynon last month and have been experiencing what I think is proper PMT (been on the pill for 10 years). currently have very sore boobs, a metalic taste and high hopes! Don't know when I am due my period but if I was still on the pill then it would be 15/04 - have already done one test! Will try and hold off again until Thurs if I don't come on! Its all very exciting but trying not to get my hopes too high!

BearsInMotion · 13/04/2014 14:23

I was supposed to be going to Germany for work when I was 7 weeks, and we normally all go out drinking. My German colleague gave me a lift back to the hotel and I told her, with instructions to tell everyone else I was feeling poorly. She was very excited but kept quiet - eight months later she covered my maternity leave!

It's weird, because I already have DD I feel the pressure is off a bit. On the other hand, DD is so much fun and I don't want her to be an only child, so I really want #2 to arrive!

Ducky23 · 13/04/2014 14:15

Ha yea with dd we were just ntnp and due to my long cycles I was 9 almost 10 weeks when I found out, would of probably been longer if it wasn't for someone at work.

I kept being sick and just put it down as a bug, then after about 2 weeks of constantly throwing up I was in work and I had to throw papers in the air and run to the toilet to be sick, someone I work with then started laughing saying 'your pregnant' and I said nooo, then it clicked and I brought a hpt and it came back positive. I was in shock! Was quite good though cus I didn't have to wait long for the scan so didn't have to keep it secret for too long Grin

Although my work are quite tight when it comes to time off so I had to pull sickies for my appointments as no one knew and I NEVER had a single sick day before in my life! I felt quite naughty! Ha

BearsInMotion · 13/04/2014 13:40

I don't know, i didn't test until 2 weeks after AF was due with DD as we were on holiday, so was pretty certain even before the BFP! But she was conceived on cycle 1 so I wasn't actually expecting it to be so easy! Hopefully it will be the same for you!

This time I'm determined not to test until AF is actually due, so another week to go!

We did try and keep DD quiet until the first scan - managed to keep quiet a week!

Ducky23 · 13/04/2014 11:10

I think the tests work best a few days after missed AF but I have read a lot of post on here about people getting their BFP's 9dpo :-)

I am due 18th so will do a tests tomorrow (11dpo, previously thought it was 10dpo) not expecting much as it is probably too early.

I have a bunch of cheapies off e bay but have heard first response are the best :-) I have them too but am waiting to take them until misses AF

Cupcake92 · 13/04/2014 10:12

I'm due 23rd April!
I'm not really sure how soon u can test :s
I know it's best on the 1st day of a missed period but there are test that can detect earlier but not sure how much earlier :s alizeeod it's my 1st month too but fingers crossed as could both catch the egg quick :)

And Bears how will u hold the excitement if it's a BFP?! :p
I'll be on holiday with DH and the sister in law so I'll have to hold my excitement/disappointment too as we've decided to keep it all a surprise and only tell everyone when we have the 1st scan

alizeeod · 13/04/2014 08:40

AF due May 2 for me! How soon can I test? I doubt I'll be pregnant on my first month trying but you never know. We did it the past couple days and I've been feeling a bit crampy, is this good? Sorry imTTC1 and I don't have a clue!!!

BearsInMotion · 13/04/2014 07:48

Hello! TTC #2 here, tried last month but no joy. AF/BFP due Easter Sunday! (When I'll be at my parents, who don't know we are TTC, so will have to hide excitement / disappointment from them!

Ducky23 · 13/04/2014 07:40

Still waiting for the BFP's I think!!! We need to get some stats together on who's expecting there's when! Wink

Cupcake92 · 13/04/2014 06:53

I use fertility friend but I can't figure it out or understand it lol

Wow 20 weeks!! That's a long time not to know!
Well I hope u enjoy ttc this time round :)

Any bfp's yet??

KatoPotato · 12/04/2014 22:40

It's called my days and was free! It's just a wee calendar that you log your af days then it shows you your fertile days for the month as yellow days.

Exciting times. DS was a complete surprise to say the least (I was 20 weeks when we found out) so ttc is a whole new world!!!

Ducky23 · 12/04/2014 22:14

Can I ask what app you used potato? I've been using fertility friend but have only started using it this month

Cupcake92 · 12/04/2014 21:29

Ooo good luck Kato! My AF is due on the 23rd so will be testing around the same time :)
I want this tww to hurry up!!! I need to test haha!!

Ducky23 · 12/04/2014 18:15

Yeaaa good luck potato! Grin

KatoPotato · 12/04/2014 17:54

Hello! Can I join? We just started SWI this month after my Mirena was removed in January. I wanted to wait 'til I'd had some regular cycles which I've been plotting on an iphone app. According to this yesterday was my ovulation date and we've dtd a fair bit this week, including last night... Af due the 25th...

Yikes!!

Cupcake92 · 12/04/2014 12:38

Haha yeah I started early has my DS when I was 20 I turned 21 a month after. My mom had me when she was 16 so to be 20 seemed old enough haha. I may be 21 but I have the mind of a 30 year old!
I'd like 2 children but u never know in the future we may try for a 3rd
And Ducky I'm sure she only waited a month so she must have only had one cycle :)

Ducky23 · 12/04/2014 11:59

Do you know how soon after it was cupcake? I was advised to wait 3 periods before trying again but due to the length of my cycle no way was I waitin that long!!

I'm 23, don't know how many we will have, will see Grin

alizeeod · 12/04/2014 10:56

Wow cupcake you started nice and early lol! How many do you want to have in total? Personally I'd love two but one would be amazing too

tashalou · 12/04/2014 08:48

I'm 26, I'm the same though most my friends had babies young I'm the odd one out! We always joke their kids could probably babysit mine!

Cupcake92 · 12/04/2014 05:50

I'm 21 , I was terrified about conceiving my 1st but once u start all the midwife appointments and scans it's so exciting and for me the fear just disappeared :) we're now ttc number 2!

alizeeod · 12/04/2014 05:40

Just curious... How old are you ladies?
I'm nearly 28 and TTC1, I feel a bit old! Most my girlfriends from school are moms! My mom went through the menopause very early so I've decided to try for a baby. I'm terrified though! But excited. Anyone else TTC1 and super scared?

Cupcake92 · 12/04/2014 05:35

Aw Ducky :( I'm sorry.
The same happened with my auntie. She got pregnant pretty soon after and had a healthy baby boy who is now 12.
Omg he's 12. I feel old old! Just shocked myself!
Keep positive :)

Ducky23 · 11/04/2014 21:59

Not too good! Last time I saw her I was pregnant, I turned up today and she was saying 'I bet your busy with a new baby' then I burst out crying. Bummer.

Still trying this positive thinking though Smile

Cupcake92 · 11/04/2014 21:46

It's just the thought if seeing that bfp :) we want to get that excitement haha
