I thought I'd start a thread for all those who will be starting out TTC this month, I'd be interested to see how other people get on, tips, moral support etc. We'll be starting TTC at the weekend!!
Please join me!

I'm testing on Sat as well! Thing is I have no idea when I ovulated but we were dtd every other day from the day my last period finished so presumably there was some sperm waiting in the wings??
This is my first time trying.
I got pregnant accidentally with DP 2 years ago but had an abortion as didn't feel time was right and have regretted it ever since. Thinking about getting pregnant again has just brought it all back and feel very teary this evening Sad

KatoPotato · 23/04/2014 22:34

I'm still due Friday.... I want to POAS!!!

lillamyy1 · 23/04/2014 22:29

HURRAAAH!!! congrats rainbow!!! Thanks

alizeeod · 23/04/2014 21:40

Hi popple, sainsburys own are crap, have me a false positive, totally unreliable! I think first response are meant to be the best x

Cupcake92 · 23/04/2014 20:55

Hi popple!!
:) I've no idea what tests are best I pee on every stick! Lol!

And Ducky yes everything ended up being okay they managed to stop my labour and had to have steroid injections to help mature his lungs. I was then induced at 40 weeks as he wasn't moving much. I was in hospital for a week tho.

looking4rainbow · 23/04/2014 20:00

Welcome Popple! Can't be sure which test is best but for me asda was good at only 10/11 dpo. My digital also was good gave a quick response. I guess it's how long you can hold back before poas. If you can wait till af due or after I would hope would most tests would work digital or not

Popple85 · 23/04/2014 19:57

Thanks! Think will try first response then. Off to Amazon I go...

Ducky23 · 23/04/2014 19:54

32 weeks cupcake! Was everything ok?

Ducky23 · 23/04/2014 19:53

Hi Popple! Smile

I swear by first response as I know they are pretty sensitive, I've heard bad things about sainsburys own too but don't know if it was the digi one or not.

Good luck Grin

looking4rainbow · 23/04/2014 19:51

Hey Ducky, yes it was bfp 1-2 weeks it said so 3-4. It was £13 for 2. Will use the other next week to see if levels are increasing before making a doctor's appointment! I thought the 2ww felt like forever now I'll have about 8 till scan lol

BearsInMotion · 23/04/2014 19:47

Hello popple!

No idea, I thought digis were but I think they are actually less sensitive.

Popple85 · 23/04/2014 19:45

Please may I join you? I've only just found this thread... started TTC 1 last week with a BFP due around 7th May. Have a 25 day (ish) cycle and am feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all! Congrats to those with BFPs already :)

Bought a Sainbury's own brand digital test test, but have since read lots of negative reviews on it... which ones are generally more reliable, digital or non?

Thanks!

Imustbecrazy26 · 23/04/2014 19:35

We can keep each other strong Kitkat whrn we have no clue what our cycles are doing!! Last time we were trying they were all over the shop for about 6 months not been on the pill as long this time so am hoping it won't take as long to get back to a normal cycle!

Cupcake92 · 23/04/2014 19:34

I know BearsInMotion :) I gave myself hope too hahaa! Testing Saturday :)

BearsInMotion · 23/04/2014 19:08

cupcake that gives me hope - I think I was 15 dpo when I got a BFN yesterday! Maybe I will get a BFP at 18dpo on Friday! :)

alizeeod · 23/04/2014 19:04

I was on Dianette (I have acne) :-(

kitkatkaty87 · 23/04/2014 19:00

Ok that's what I have done as well. We'll both be testing that same sort of time next month then must be crazy!

I hope this is a lucky thread!

Can't believe ur going to have a scan soon Ducky that's so exciting will make it all real! :D
And yes moving is the most stressful thing ever!
We've only been in the flat a year waiting till we got our house, and I was heavily pregnant when we moved last year and all the stress and moving and getting exhausted brought on early labour at 32 weeks lol!
But yes I'm deffo an addict of poas :/ if it weren't raining right now me and DS would be off to asda to buy some tests!

Imustbecrazy26 · 23/04/2014 18:49

Kitkat I counted cd1 as first day of withdrawal bleed

Imustbecrazy26 · 23/04/2014 18:47

I'm not going to test till the 8th may that when af is due if it was a 28 day cycle! So going to keep doing the dtd till then as trying not to stress bout opks and cm just yet! Well if I can keep it up lol!

I agree moving house is stressful!

Ducky23 · 23/04/2014 18:43

What pill were you on Ali?

Rainbow was it positive? Digitalsare expensive!!! Grin

alizeeod · 23/04/2014 18:38

This is my first month off the pill. Last day I took it was April 1, withdrawal bleed started April 4 and lasted a week. I'm going to test 28 days after the first day of withdrawal bleed so May 1. Just thought I'd tell you what my plan is, ladies who just got off the pill. Our natural cycle is bound to be irregular and messed up for a while so who knows what is the best thing to do...

looking4rainbow · 23/04/2014 18:33

It sounds like we have Fx for more bfp this weekend. This thread is looking lucky Wink

Defiantly understand the poas addict I just poas with a digital lol need to stop now!

kitkatkaty87 · 23/04/2014 18:30

Imustbecrazy what did you count as cd1? Day after withdrawal bleed or day after stopping pill? I get confused! :)
