I've just made some really yummy carrot cake - anyone wanna share? (Sorry MrsE, that's mean isn't it?!)

Technically it's sort of healthy.... It's got carrots in it and lots of sugar, oil and other naughty things ...and raisins! So that's 2 of your 5 a day, right?

MrsExtraOrdinary · 06/04/2014 16:43

Kurama I think I just eat anything and everything pre af. But I'm pre ov so haven't got that excuse.... I'm just low on will power today Sad I can't wait until dh goes on a diet and temptation will be less!

Spotti · 06/04/2014 16:34

Treacle - I too would love any of those breeds BUT they need a lot of exercise, a lot of mental stimulation (which I am now able to do, hence taking on a foster dog, but when we first got O I worked a lot more hours than I do now) and also quite a lot of grooming! If time was infinite, I'd have a border collie in a heart beat as well as a young Shire horse to start off and bring on, but as things stand, I've not got the time, space or energy to do one justice. Now if I had a farm...

(I've got a Border Collie dog as a client at the minute. He's a lovely lovely boy, but my goodness is he full of beans! He just doesn't seem to have an 'off' switch! At least O, a Lab X Collie, knows when to chill out Smile.

On a TTC note, OH suggested sexy time earlier (just as I was about to get into a nice hot bath - wtf? Men and their timing, eh?) and then when I declined, went on to say "we won't get pregnant if we don't have sex". Yeah I know, but why waste the energy when the little eggy has already been and gone? Might do it just for funsies later, but seriously, why would he choose a moment when I'm mucky and smelly and in need of a good scrub (I've been out riding this morning, hence the muck - I'm not just a tramp...well, not all the time LOL) and also naked...maybe it was the nakedness... to suggest getting jiggy with it? Silly OH.

kurama · 06/04/2014 16:31

spinningirl10 · 06/04/2014 16:29

Haha Linda that sounds like fun! No he's not going with me. I might come home a day early!

Treacle, well done on weight loss Grin

MrsExtraOrdinary · 06/04/2014 16:24

Treacle that's brilliant about the weight loss. I'm trying to be extra healthy and hopefully loose a few pounds. I've been pretty good this week, but I've just eaten 2 doughnuts and am contemplating making a chocolate cake later. Why do I crave sweet things when I'm so tired.

lindamagoo · 06/04/2014 16:15

Oh no spinning that's not so good especially if dh isn't going with you, hope your lucky enough to get that egg. When we were ttc last year we were away to the caravan at ov time, 4 adults and 3 kids, we sneaked out and dtd in a thunder storm Smile didn't catch the egg but what a laugh, felt like teenagers

Treaclepie19 · 06/04/2014 16:15

Oh and thanks spinning haha, making sure to cover all bases this month! Just been out for a long walk. Trying my hardest to keep up the weight loss. 1 stone gone since jan :)

Treaclepie19 · 06/04/2014 16:13

I bet linda, sorry you've had such a hard time.

We also want a dog, I'd love a husky. so would DH, or a german shepherd, or a border collie... Or any dog :p

MrsExtraOrdinary · 06/04/2014 16:09

Linda and spinning you've just made me realise that if af arrives instead of bfp this month instead of a Xmas day baby id be having a birthday baby instead. My bday is in jan and 4 wks precisely after Xmas. I was totally fed up last Xmas as af arrived on Xmas day in a flood right on cue for my parents walking through the door. Both my siblings were January babies too. Fx for you both

PolytheneGirl · 06/04/2014 16:08

So sorry Spinning

Hi Time I've been really trying not to symptom spot this month but I have been tired, had a dicky tummy, have 2 spots (not normal at all) and my diabetes has been playing up. Oh and I've had an eczema flare up! I'm just trying to keep it all in perspective and keep telling myself all these things could be due to something else! hoping and praying they are symptoms! When are you testing?

spinningirl10 · 06/04/2014 16:07

Oh no! I've just checked the calendar for when I will next ovulate and I am away for a few days visiting family! Bugger!!!! I think I'll be back on ov day so I suppose that's better than nothing and dp won't have performance issues as he'll be so pleased to see me!

lindamagoo · 06/04/2014 16:04

Yes spinning Wine here's to the new year babies, edd would be 11th of January Smile

spinningirl10 · 06/04/2014 15:57

It's pants isn't it Linda!

Oh well, onto next cycle and lets see if we can get a New Year baby Grin

lindamagoo · 06/04/2014 15:36

Sorry spinning Thanks You just made me realise no 2014 baby for me either Hmm

spinningirl10 · 06/04/2014 15:34

Ahh af has arrived Hmm I didn't feel that it was our month but there's always that hope there! No Christmas baby for me. I'll hang around here for a bit and cheer you all on.

Tilly28 · 06/04/2014 15:28

Spotti and lemondrizzler I also agree labs are adorable, probably because I have the cutest most soppy one ever. He's almost 1 but is so good with any children we have had stay (we are foster carers too)! He's currently cuddled up asleep next to me as we are having a lazy day! I think when we have a baby he will be so gentle with them. Id def say get one now though so you can get all the training done as it's hard work when they are pups!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 06/04/2014 15:26

I'm exhausted and I know we ought to dtd today, Cd11 with my 3rd flashy smily, I look like the creature from the black lagoon today, clean but prickly, no make up, I think ill just have to bribe dh or something and lay back and think of England. I always get shattered in the afternoons. I think I should have been one of those ladies In the olden days who had a nap for 2 hrs. Wink

spinningirl10 · 06/04/2014 15:20

Wow treacle well done that was a marathon sessionGrin

Linda sorry af arrived, enjoy your wineWineThanks

LemonDrizzler · 06/04/2014 15:17

Linda sorry about AF. :(

LemonDrizzler · 06/04/2014 15:16

Spotti you've convinced me - will get working on dh!! I love labs - they're so sweet.

lindamagoo · 06/04/2014 14:39

I'm a little glad af arrived, after the week I've had I NEED lots of Wine.

Treaclepie19 · 06/04/2014 14:31

I definitely will linda haha.

Sorry to hear af has arrived, glad your cycle wasn't too long though :)
