Hunker, sure that there are a few women who don't mind what sex, but just the overwhelming MN 'thou shalt not express a preference' that got me going on the other thread. TBH, although I have expressed a preference in the past, I also don't really mind, healthy baby blah blah, but felt for OP on other thread who was being unfairly treated IMO.

If I can confess, I hate 'thin end of the wedge' as much as some of you hate 'balancing your family'.

It's a (sad?) fact of life that rich people can afford more things than poor people. Given that that's the case, how bad is it for someone with two children to fix/influence sex of no. 3 - is it the principle of it happening at all (it is now allowed by IVF in certain very ltd circs isn't it), or the mechanism that's the problem???

if what you are saying is true, that becasue she wanted a girl she would consider terminating if its was a boy then your too right i'd have plenty to say!

abortion is the irght of every woman but to devalue the pain and stress casued by such an operation is disgusting. it is the medicla equivelant of handing back the skirt as it makes your bumb look big.
If thats what was said she should be bloody well ashamed of herself!
