I've got a good answer you can tell them Kitty: "Fuck off".

I have to answer that all the time - got married last month and our wedding book is scattered with "When's it due?" and other such comments about having babies. It gets so boring so I just quickly answer with "When we're ready" and change the subject.

Oh, why can't we all just get pregnant first month of trying like most of the animal kingdom! That would solve all these problems, Nordic-thanks for the kind words

Nordicmom · 26/03/2014 19:53

Kitty don't feel guilty if you can't face going . I had to miss a bunch of things in my 2 1/2 of endless miscarriages . I just couldn't go and I didn't care what anyone thought of it . DH was a bit annoyed some times but I had to be selfish for once and look after myself . It was bad enough trying keep the normality going for 2 -3 y DS and ending up crying in bloody Gymboree playgymclasses secretly in a corner so no one would notice ... Do what you feel up to . With us everyone knew about us trying and my miscarriages though so it was easier to explain why I wasn't there yet again .

KittyVonCatsington · 26/03/2014 19:31

True! It's all such a minefield. Thanks for telling me that-makes me feel less weird. I know I will feel much better once pregnant-it's just till then... Oh, I need Cake !!!!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 26/03/2014 19:18

Kitty is there any way you could prepare a witty cut you down dead come back?

I'm trying to think of a good one for you, if you think you could hack it?

I remember shortly after I had my first mc with dh and we'd just moved house, had house warming party. Dbil and his partner brought their new tiny new born. I was fine until my dh picked her up to give her a cuddle and then I had to back away into the kitchen and cry into my friends shoulder. At that point I didn't believe dh and I would ever share a child together. And I have dc so I'm very lucky indeed.

Even at that party we wee asked if we'd have any dc together and I just said it was unlikely with my medical problems but Of course we'd love to, just need a miracle. Not much you can say to that.

It so hard when babies are suddenly everywhere!

Have a bit of a dilemma myself: DH's family have issued an invite (not happened before) to Sunday Lunch on Mothers Day for Monster-In-Law but DSiLs have 4 kids between them under 6yrs including a 7/8 month old. Don't think I can face it as I just know someone will ask us when we are having kids etc etc. and seeing my gorgeous baby nephew after last month might break the defences. Think I might have to say DH is welcome to go wiithout me Sad

katecupoftea · 26/03/2014 18:47

Well, they weren't. But it makes me feel better.

Kate - avoid avoid avoid coffee shops during the day! Always full of mums and babys, baby groups etc!! Don't do it to yourself!

katecupoftea · 26/03/2014 18:28

Yes, we do.

So they've opened up a Costa in Next on the retail park. Did a bit of strike day browsing and picked up a decaf (still trying to avoid caffeine) and there were quite a few people there. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM HAD A BABY. Apart from an older woman who was just holding a baby for her pregnant daughter.

It's a cruel world, Costa coffee. A cruel world.

I'm not sure what good news would be Grin actually, it would be that I'm one of those women who is pregnant but gets no symptoms and still has periods but I'm actually 6 weeks gone

I just want someone to tell me that if I do this, this and this, it will happen next cycle. Don't we all?!

KittyVonCatsington · 26/03/2014 18:17

Don't be so hard on yourself Retro!!! I so hope you get good news tomorrow-you deserve it Smile

RetroHippy · 26/03/2014 18:14

Bugger, just posted on the old thread...

MrsE, that made me Grin DH has no idea of the level of mental I've reached but I'm right there with you!

I so hope it's a bfp for you... Fx

I get my bloods back tomorrow. I suspect it will all be perfectly normal and I'll feel like a plonker for making a fuss. I'm so very British Blush

CabbagesAndKings · 26/03/2014 17:25

Grin I've told my DH that the massive pack of tests I ordered off the internet are 'just incase- we wouldn't want to have to go to the chemist, would we?'- the chemist is the only one in our village and everyone knows/is related to everyone else. You come out of that shop with a test, and people are already congratulating you en route to the Spar

Of course, I intend to pee on ALL the sticks Grin

KittyVonCatsington · 26/03/2014 17:19

Last cycle, DH walked into our bathroom and caught me sitting crossed legged next to a cup of wee, a test and rocking back and forth, MrsE-what must they be thinking Grin

KittyVonCatsington · 26/03/2014 17:08

Hello! Hopping on a bit late-you all move so fast!!!

Sorry to read that, English - it is also confusing, I agree! I don't know what to say really as I think I officially have no clue. Finally getting pulling pains in my left side which means ovulation pain for me ( have these every cycle) but 6 days after positive OPK-go figure! Do I DTD still? Do I not? I feel your pain!!!!!!!!!!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 26/03/2014 15:12

Poor dh isn't usually allowed in out en suite! I'm a bit of a prude when it comes to toilet antics and he had to be at least on a different floor from me Blush any how he's home today and thought he'd helpfully tidy our bedroom and ensuite Angry he just emptied the bathroom bin, which he knows he's not allowed to do and found 25 old pee sticks BlushBlushBlushBlush and a broken frer! OMG woman, how many tests have you done?! I've also got lined up the 3 positive ones on the side in a line of dpos! He's thrown them all away BlushSad he was laughing hysterically, what are you going to pee on now then? Grin All I could say was I couldn't help myself, it was just tooooooo tempting!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 26/03/2014 15:04

Oh Nordic, I was getting all hopeful for you reading back. I'm sorry Sad I've knocked back several chocolate biscuits so I guess af is going to appear in the end. What a confusing month it's been! But still no sign of af yet?

Nordicmom · 26/03/2014 14:33

Byaaah went to the loo and had a bit of red blood :( do I guess it's game over for me again ... What the hell has happened to my luteal phase ?! If this is AF then it's 11 d again not the usual 14 like it used to be

gennibugs · 26/03/2014 13:32

pressed send too soon - meant to say I am on obsessive knicker watch...praying Af stays away...Please please please!

gennibugs · 26/03/2014 13:29

hi all

checking in. bfp due 29th March - I seem to have dropped off the stats.

have had no symptoms apart from a bit of mild cramping but I just don't think this is going to be our month - I can just tell. Sad

congratulations to the bfps. I'm guessing there aren't many of us left here now!

Hazelbrowneyes · 26/03/2014 13:16

Hope so English! DTD 17, 19, 20 and 22nd so hopefully that'll be enough!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 26/03/2014 12:57

I think if you dtd on 19th and 20th Hazel, you're still in with a definite chance! FX

Really hope this is a bfp for you Nordic!! FX for you too!! Get yourself a FRER

Nordicmom · 26/03/2014 12:54

Stupid DH isn't answering my texts prob too busy going to the gym on his lunch break . Aaargh he never answers when I need him too. . I would chew my nails if they weren't cut so short but instead scoffing the rest of a Ben and jerrys and now feeling even more ill than before . Will try to nap next before a late school run and DS street dance show :).

Hazelbrowneyes · 26/03/2014 12:45

I think 21st too. The one day DH was too tired to dtd. Grr.

I'm in Jersey. It's fab out here. I'd move here tomorrow if I could!
