6 days to go!

Dont worry Hazel, blood doesnt transfer to the embryo until 6/7 weeks so those few glasses of wine will not have done any damage. Don't panic. TTC is stressful and we shouldn't put our lives on hold whilst waiting, you never know how long it could take. Enjoy the odd glass of wine without guilt. Smile

Hazelbrowneyes · 28/03/2014 10:10

So sorry Linda.

Hugs to all who need them this morning.

I'm now a week into my 2ww and convinced I'm not pregnant. I'm also feeling guilty as I've had quite a bit of alcohol this week. Actually couldn't sleep last night as I was terrified that if I have conceived this month, then I've done harm. GAH.

Anyway, I'm having a no alcohol April whatever.

I also have the urge to POAS which is bloody daft given I'm only 7dpo Grin

lindamagoo · 28/03/2014 09:53

I have an appointment with the gynae on April 28th to discuss it all, gp said if I'm already pregnant i can discuss my options with them then but there's only one option, I'll be having the baby before any op. I'm ok though, I've got my amazing little boys to keep me going Smile

EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/03/2014 09:50

I'm here, I'm here!! Resident cervix expert at your service!! Could well be. The cervix generally high and soft around ovulation. Any cm? opk??
Get dtd in case!!

I had a pretty dark opk yesterday afternoon and then a lighter one last night. Hope this is it!!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 28/03/2014 09:41

Oh Linda, that's bad news. Are you going to have the op regardless? I think I have an idea what it is. A friend had similar. Why are gps so utterly insensitive and presume they know our lives and make decisions about them. Very unfair.

Fingerscrossed36 · 28/03/2014 09:24

Sending hugs linda or maybe Wine ?

True extra is english sleeping maybe?

Hoping somebody knows, why are our bodies such mysteries even in my 30's?

SaRaRaRaRa · 28/03/2014 09:22

Sorry to read these posts this morning. Hugs to genni, kate, kitty and most of all linda xxx

lindamagoo · 28/03/2014 09:10

So it turns out the reason my gp has referred me for an op is not because she presumed I wouldn't want more kids at my age but because health wise she thinks I need it Hmm not advisable for me to conceive again, so I guess I'll have to hope that I don't get my bfp this month, never thought I'd say those words Hmm I won't go into why, can't cope with that but I'll hang around until af gets me and to keep my eye on how you lot are doing xxx

MrsExtraOrdinary · 28/03/2014 08:42

Fingers I'm no help there, my cervix is usually up around my arm pit most of the time inc in labour.

Where's English when we need her? Smile

Fingerscrossed36 · 28/03/2014 08:38

Crotchwatch TMI alert.

Looking for someone who knows cervix signs

My cervix has gone high and I want to say its soft - is there any chance it's ovulation Grin or is it AF preparing Sad?

MrsExtraOrdinary · 28/03/2014 08:25

Come on ladies, your pom poms appear to be around your ankles Confused

There's no point doing the what ifs??? Stop it immediately , lol. I had dc with my first hb, but I'm not with him now so that's not ideal either. And here I am fighting the ttc battle later and older and yes I wish I'd met him sooner, but that's life. I think if anyone actually believes they've got the perfect life they need to watch out. None of us know what's around the next corner. Enjoy today for what your life is, not what it might be. I'm very philosophical today in the full throws of af! Wink

NewlymrsB · 28/03/2014 07:42

It's so sad to hear the emotions you are going through. I think we all feel the same which is why we are here offering each other support. Keep your heads held high, I know it doesn't bring much comfort but what is meant to be will be. Just enjoy your life, we only get one, no regrets xxx

katecupoftea · 28/03/2014 07:01

I completely get what you're saying genni, you can't have regrets though as there is nothing you can do about them so it's just harbouring negative thoughts. We'll miss you on this buses but I don't blame you for going - I'm going to have a break next month too on the buses for a little bit because it just makes the wait feel looooong.

My temp plummeted this morning and I'm cramping. Oh, and af is due today. Bit of a sign. Think I'll be saying goodbye before the end of the day.

KittyVonCatsington · 28/03/2014 06:43

I hear you, genni-everything you have written has crossed my mind too, so you are not alone. I'm 33 and have thought why didn't I try earlier etc. etc. I get through those waves of feelings by remembering that conceiving would not have been a joyful event if either one of us had not been on board with it. I am where I am and nothing can change it. I feel less alone, by staying on these buses as there are lots of us in the same position.

Do whatever you feel is right for you-but do take care of yourself mind and body. Talk this all through with your DH and also consider how to pamper yourself. Have you considered Reflexology? It will relax you but is also good for fertility.

gennibugs · 28/03/2014 04:18

Well I'm out.

Cramping and spotting like crazy so only a matter of hours before AF kicks in.

I'm wondering whether I should take a break from the buses as I think as I'm starting to feel very overwhelmed and utterly miserable by this whole ttc process. I don't normally do regrets but I regret so much that we didn't start trying earlier and didn't have a break after our last attempt. I really do. I'm starting to resent DH as it was he who insisted on waiting even though that's not fair. I feel like time is running out and it's breaking my heart. I want a child more than anything - I'd give up my career, house, holidays -everything to have a baby.

Good luck to all. I hope there are more bfps to come on the march bus. If I do join the April bus I hope you all aren't there because that will mean you've got your bfps!!xxx

NewlymrsB · 27/03/2014 22:05

Fingers crossed to those still in the game! I'm crotch watching like a mad woman!!

RetroHippy · 27/03/2014 21:55

Thanks all Smile it feels like a baby step on the way.

Back to temping like a crazy person next cycle so I can figure out what's going on.

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming...

katecupoftea · 27/03/2014 20:26

Oh yes forgot to say a woohoo to Retro for having good results on the blood test!

Ohhhh straggling at the end of the bus with no good news, it's February all over again!

OP posts:
KittyVonCatsington · 27/03/2014 20:20

there's been a floury of people dropping like flies today

I know Sad I don't like reading them - I so want everyone on here (and April thread) to get their BFPs. Updating the stats just seems too depressing at the moment!

Littlebear81 · 27/03/2014 20:11

Sorry to hear that Nordic Sad

Good news about your bloods Retro even if its a bit confusing still!

Still no AF and symptoms have disappeared too so no idea what's going on. BFN on an ic again today so I'm still in for now at least. We need some more BFPs, there's been a floury of people dropping like flies today! If my cycle is the same as last month I've another week to wait!

katecupoftea · 27/03/2014 19:22

Lol Kitty. "The Bastard Sticks are up to their old tricks again."

OP posts:
KittyVonCatsington · 27/03/2014 19:19

What would I do without you, English Wink

Boots own brand brand are also Bastard Sticks - tried them before and useless. Maybe that should be a new phrase; "being hit with the bastard stick" (or is that something else entirely Blush )

katecupoftea · 27/03/2014 19:11

Linda I know you posted it early this morning but I have that exact same brand of ICs and they ALWAYS do horrible hope-lifting evaps for me. And they come pretty quickly too! Bastard sticks.

In other cupoftea news, af due tomorrow and expecting her arrival. Planned the evening drinking and everything.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 27/03/2014 18:55

Don't worry kitty, there's nothing wrong with you! The ovary with the most mature follicles is the one that will release the egg, and that won't necessarily be alternating. Don't panic!

KittyVonCatsington · 27/03/2014 18:04

Glad you have got your news, Retro. Funny you should mention possibly ovulating every other cycle: when I came off BC last November, my first cycle in December had horrendous ovulation pains on my right side. Come Jan, ovulation on left side as I feel sharp twinges but not quite so bad. So I thought ovulation alternates ovaries each cycle.

This is where it gets odd-have had left side ovulation pains last cycle and currently right now. Thats three cycles with left ovary pains. Kind of thinking there is something wrong with my right ovary and it has given up the ghost! Wonder if that is similar with you?
