The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Cheers for the new thread
TTC #1 since Nov 13, MC Feb 14 at 5 weeks.

Just wanted to say thank you so much for your support last night, this ttc really has it's ups and real down days, I'm normally better in the week, work is so busy and stressful I don't have time to think, come the weekends I have too much thinking time. Must plan more and get out more (although not to visit pregnant people just yet)

GailLondon · 24/03/2014 21:44

Gosh this thread is moving quickly, I can't keep up! Good to hear from everyone.

Carly6971 · 24/03/2014 21:40

Parsley I am 31 (32 in dec)!!

I have had an emotional evening so am saving dispatches until a strong day...probs tomorrow :) I have a rose with a plaque on for our baby boy (although he wasn't for sure a boy he always was to us) and am hoping to have enough spare cash to treat myself to the Tiffany bean necklace on my due date in his memory x

Seasides · 24/03/2014 21:39

Well done broody and lovely happy story baker! Also forgot to say (on phone) office I'm sending you a 'congratulations on breaking the tith fast' card! X

Cakebaker35 · 24/03/2014 21:37

Well done broody, you're a celeb! Grin

Seasides · 24/03/2014 21:37

I didn't see it parsley but I''ve read the news stories today-it's awful. People in the 'industry' just get so inured to it I think, they can't connect it with the parent's grief any more. She's commemorated in your heart though, which is a very unlike-me-cheesy thing to say but it is what I mean, as a foil to the heartlessness of the bus.

I forgot what a time you've had of it tanny, these stats are a good refresher though so sad for you. And you carly, I so hope the nhs pull their thumb out of the arse for you soon.

Congratulations otter!!! A great thing to hopefully both distract you from thinking of a bfp and ensure you get one soon Grin

Right. I'm off to...well. Fulfil the biological necessities of TTC. My opks were blank today though, so I think I've got some more tith time to make sure this month is covered.

Cakebaker35 · 24/03/2014 21:36

Good to see some excellent vintages on here ladies Smile
Here's a good news story, a good friend of mine recently had #2 at 43, having had an mmc of twins like me the year before. Just shows it's not all about age thank f@ck for that

Otters amazing news, well done you Wine

Office good work on dtd! I've still got to cross that slightly scary bridge, still bleeding after erpc so it'll be a while here before I feel brave enough.

Parsley I missed Dispatches but sounds like probably a good thing, bit too fragile at the moment.

broodylicious · 24/03/2014 21:28

Yay otters, that's fab news. Well done you! WineWine

seb just lots of love for you hun xxxx you'll get there xxxx (yeah yeah un-MN but whatever, I'm broodylicious and I do xxxx and hugs so sue me!)

Remember I said I'd complained about the text reminder from the hospital? And I'd tweeted the journo from the local rag? Well she's made me famous! My story is in today's issue! Haha. Hospital admitted they're shite and are truly sorry for being so insensitive. Ha. Wankers.

Parsley2506 · 24/03/2014 21:19

otters well done you! And I agree that is the prefect tempting fate thing to do for a BFP (fingers and toes [but never legs] crossed!)

carly I wish I could give you a great big real life hug. You will get there eventually my dear. Your stats didn't mention your age, if it's not too impertinent do you mind me asking? If you're 30+ you might want to consider joining the Berries thread (otters and I are some-time posters there). Lots of very knowledgeable and, most importantly, super supportive long time ttc-ers, might have some good advice on how to brow beat the nhs into acting quicker.

So, I watched Dispatches and I've just about finished mopping the tears up off the floor. Talk about opening the floodgates. I'm actually feeling pretty crappy now about my own little bean ending up down the effing toilet - like the first lady featured, I got a special piece of jewellery to commemorate her (I always refer to/think of her as a girl, no idea why) but it breaks my heart to know the nhs treats so many women's much much much wanted babies in such a callous way. Sad Sad

Huge congratulations on the new job Otters! Definitely sounds like a good move to me, even if it means slightly stricter working conditions. Plus you're bound to get your BFP soon now, it's Sod's law! Smile

EnglishGirlAbroad · 24/03/2014 20:59

Well done Otters.. this should hopefully ensure inappropriately timed bfp!! Nothing like a new job/wedding/massive holiday to swing the fertility gods in your favour!!

Littlemiss - step away from goggle....its a bastard!

Office welldone for the milestone shag! highfive

LaceyLee · 24/03/2014 20:55

Sorry, 29, 30 in 3 weeks!!!

LaceyLee · 24/03/2014 20:54

Hi all cheers for new thread,
Ttc #1 bfp aug13, mmc oct 13, mc jan 14.
Ewcm today woohoo!
Hubby feeling the pressure a bit tho, think I'll keep opk activities to myself in future... Poor dh....did manage in the end tho Smile

Justonemoretime · 24/03/2014 20:41

Hello, thanks for starting the new thread. Up to my eyes in work and on my phone, so I'll be brief:
TTC #1 mmcs @6wks November 2011, same again May 2012, then mmc @ 13wks (baby died 10 wks); Turners. St Marys fixed wonky womb, all tests fine. Awaiting results from Prof Quenby's clinic. Age 37 until Saturday, then will start counting backwards.

Carly6971 · 24/03/2014 20:40

Huge congratulations otters :) sounds like it can only be a good thing for your future x

OttersPocket · 24/03/2014 20:38

Argh, cross posts with lots of you. Flowers and un-mn hugs to all of you having shiteous days and horribly long ttc journeys.

OttersPocket · 24/03/2014 20:36

Welcome newbies, hope you aren't here too long. It's a fun place to pass the time though Smile

Well dear thread-sharers, I bloody well got the job!! I should be happy but I'm now bricking it. It's a major promotion, and means that I'll be on strict 9-5 hours when I'm used to moseying in and out when I feel like it. And no more working from home . But, it will be good for future career progression blah blah blah... It's within the same huge organisation in which I already work but a totally different department so I don't think it'll affect maternity stuff if I ever get there again Tell me I'm doing the right thing!! watches former cushy job fade to darkness

FX this gives me a highly inappropriately timed bfp on Friday Grin

zahazie · 24/03/2014 20:35

Thanks for the welcome.

And so sorry to hear that some of you are having down days. It's been just over a month since my mc and although the feeling of complete devastation has subdued, I still have moments when I just need to cry.

I took a month off from TTC straight after mc (my doc suggested taking the pill) and now I am a bit nervous: worried that we don't have sex at the right time, worried that my ovulation is too late, and my luteal phase is too short, worried about mc happening again.

I have a question: I am DC8 of my second cycle post mc and I had some spotting today (brown watery CM, enough to lightly stain my pants). Has this happened to anyone else?

Carly6971 · 24/03/2014 20:29

I have been to gp and fertility consultant, had clomid but won't do any more until I loose weight. I have pcos so that is hard in itself especially when your always down about ttc...grrrrrr! But trying again now so fingers crossed will power stays strong. But in the same boat as parsley thinking that natural bfp will put us back to square one anyway :,( fml!!

tannyLoo · 24/03/2014 20:27

Oh Carly, the shit days are shit. Have a dozen or so shoulders to cry on. They're broad and comforting. You too Sebs.

I've been doing so much wallowing and navel gazing that I've been a bit rubbish. But today I feel ok.

MissHobart · 24/03/2014 20:20

Shock @ Carly - 2007?! Are you under investigations yet? Thanks for you!

Get onto your GP!

Carly6971 · 24/03/2014 20:16

Loving the new thread...also feeling shit today :,( hugs to the rest of you who are down, these bad days creep up from no where!

As for me:
