The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

MissH - have a "May your knickers be forever pink/brownish/red free (well, for at least 8-9 months anyway)" card.

choccy I'm so sorry you're back here again.

I'm looking forward to a dozen nice big G&T tonight.

Getting a bit depressed here. Spotting at 10 dpo can't be a good sign can it? Its fairly substantial spotting, I almost think AF is starting then it just goes away again until the next day. Am feeling its almost impossible I'll end up with a bfp this month.
Is this a sign of low progesterone? Anything I can do next cycle to help it out?

MissHobart · 25/03/2014 15:03

MN is not twee, tends towards the harsh we like to think Wink so an un-MN hug is a hug rather than a "pull yourself together"! Though I've not experienced anything "typically" MN! Grin

I'm now on constant knicker watch! Confused

Choccywoccydodah · 25/03/2014 14:33

Thanks holly. I saw prof Quenby end of feb and she's prescribed 400mg cyclogest twice a day from 7dpo. Totally helped with the spotting I had from 8/9dpo.

Choccywoccydodah 34, ttc#2 since Sept 13. mc Nov 13, Dec 13, Jan 14, Mar 14, all before 5 weeks.

Sebs sorry you are feeling so shit :(

What does un-mn hug mean btw?

MissHobart · 25/03/2014 14:22

Thanks everyone, just told the husband, he was hoping as it means he won't have to jizz in a cup Hmm

Penguin - I tested for the same reason, if it doesn't stick I'll have hit mc number 3 ava can go forward, but I'm so so hoping it sticks!

Thanks for everyone who's feeling shit, no need to pretend you're happy! We're all here for everyone! Smile

EnglishGirlAbroad · 25/03/2014 13:28

Jesus, thats pretty depressing amount of people.... With no insult intended, I hope some of you bugger off soon! With big fat sticky bfps!!

Sebs - I really feel for you. I think we've all probably been where your are. Its really fucking shit. But you will feel better soon. The fog does lift and you will wake up feeling a little less blue. I definitely think its worthy of a full blown tantrum, sometimes it's just needed! And go in the garden and scream cunt at the top of your lungs! I called everyone and everything a cunt at one point. Sorry if any of you dislike the word.... but sometimes its the only one neccessary!! Sending you a massive hug and positive vibes

HollyBen · 25/03/2014 13:21

Wow, just logged on quickly and I see we have not one, but two BFPs to celebrate! Early days I know, but have massive HURRAH from me, penguin and miss H! Here's a 'well done on successfully fertilising your egg' card for you!
seb you sound so sad at the moment, my heart aches for you. I do think that as much as we try to put a brave face on and be strong and positive about the future, sometimes we just need to embrace our sadness, acknowledge it and let it overwhelm us for a little while. I hope you have got people in real life you can wail at, if not, well we are always here for you.

Choccywoccydodah · 25/03/2014 13:10

Hi ladies mind if I join in again? Not been on for a while as I've just gone through my 4th early mc :(
But I'm ready to jump back on the stallion of a hubby horse and try again for a Xmas bubba!
Been a shit few months tbh. Have been out in progesterone for 3 months (this will be my 2nd) so here's hoping it works this month.
Have had about all I can take now!!!!
Am on cd7 but only because I was still in progesterone so it was stopping af. I'm probably on cd9 if I hadn't been on it.
I'm checking my ov tests early this month just in case and sure enough this morning it was dark, not positive though. Am expecting it over the next 3 or 4 days perhaps. Normally positive cd15.

Anyway, enough from me. Off to read back.

Congratulations on any bfps I may have missed, here's to you and your sticky beans!!!WineThanks

zahazie · 25/03/2014 12:54

Such an exciting thread:
Two BFPs (congratulations Penguin and Miss H!!!) and a new job (Congratulations Otter), all since I joined the thread!

LaceyLee · 25/03/2014 12:22

Yay congrats to penguin and missh a on the BFPs! We needed some happy news on this thread I think. And otters on the new job also.

I'm entering the tww, not hopeful as the latest problem we have encountered is Dh and 'performance issues'. So not had much DTD over
Fertile period Hmm
I'm sure ill still be symptom spotting like mad tho! Should be working and already getting distracted....
Sebs, feel for you, this ttc post mc is such a shit place to be in. I think having a plan to focus on is a great idea tho.

Cakebaker35 · 25/03/2014 11:25

Thanks ladies.

And sebs, no need to be polite here, sob away, swear like a trooper, you just need to some days x

Penguin13 · 25/03/2014 11:18

I realised that in my haste to post my news I forgot to say a huge congratulations to Otters on her new job! Blush Very well done lady, brilliant news.

Sebs I am so sorry that you are struggling at the moment. As much as CUTO has its place I think there is nothing wrong with acknowledging your deep sadness. Noone here will judge you for expressing how you are feeling. Hugs.

sebsmummy1 · 25/03/2014 10:19

I'll be ok soon I'm sure. Just right now I feel like absolute shit and I'm not polite enough to pretend I don't. Sorry girls xxx

Carly6971 · 25/03/2014 10:11

Huge congratulations penguin and missH wishing you the most boring and text book pregnancies....ever!

sebs sorry your feeling so horrible! I know exactly how you feel it's horrible isn't it? I feel as though I spend most of the time on the verge of tears and if I do forget for a while I feel awful for forgetting. I hope you feel happier tomorrow :) x

Littlelady33 · 25/03/2014 09:54

Sebs thinking of you and sending positive thoughts your way. Cake it's frustrating I know, you just want to see the end of it really - I didn't bleed at all for a week then on and off for a week then it suddenly stopped. So after six days, if it's intermittent and not heavy you're on the right track I'd say.

Metalhead · 25/03/2014 09:53

Cakebaker I bled lightly for about a week, then a few days after it had stopped (following a bit of not-quite-tith fun with DH, if you get my drift...) I got a couple more days of brown spotting. I think you have to have around 3 weeks of no bleeding prior for it to count as AF.

tannyLoo · 25/03/2014 09:52

Sebs hugs honey. I know the racking sobs well. They tend to appear when I do something idiotic like bang my head on a cupboard door.

Staring into the distance is also something I do. I find climbing a hill or getting to the coast for a bit of a Paddington Bear stare really cathartic.

And it is ok to feel shit. It is shit. It will get better, but it takes time. Thanks

Metalhead · 25/03/2014 09:49

I know what you mean sebs. Even though technically it only took me 4 cycles to get pregnant, one of them was 3 months long! And now I've 'wasted' 3 months with the unsuccessful pregnancy and mc... it's all very depressing.

I'd suggest you try and find something else to focus so you don't drive yourself completely mad, for example I'm looking for a new job. I know it's easier said than done, but I think it does help to have something else to obsess about.

Cakebaker35 · 25/03/2014 09:46

sebs sorry you're feeling shitty, it really is the most nutty rollercoastery (new word invented for you) ride ever. I'm sure you won't need ivf but great to know the option is there. A friend had her baby last night and all I felt when I got the message was oh fuck the fuck off Blush what an awful friend I am. I will muster up the energy to go and visit, she is a lovely person and I really am happy for her just sad for me, talk about wallowing Blush

A question for you erpc ladies - how long did it take for the bleeding to stop? I hadn't bled for a couple of days, then it appears to be back as a slow annoying trickle, grrrrrrr. How will I know when it is AF and not just more gunk from erpc? It's only been 6 days since I had it so I know it's not AF yet but how do you know when one has stopped and the other started? Sorry for rambling, again!

TeaRex · 25/03/2014 09:43

God sorry parsley and sebs x posting as I'm so slow, sorry you're both having such tough days :( I know it's not mn but massive hugs to you both, really wish I could do more to help x

TeaRex · 25/03/2014 09:38

Woohoo! Congratulations penguin and MissH :) I am at work and the big boss is in so what could have been a right shitter of a day now doesn't matter :) thank you for cheering me up and more importantly healthy & happy 9 months to you both Grin

And congratulations on the new job otters as the others have said I hope this brings on a bfp :)

sebsmummy1 · 25/03/2014 09:31

Thanks Metal. I feel kind of defeated today and like I really want to throw the towel in and concentrate on something I can actually influence without praying and doing fertilisation jazz hands over it.

I want to shout CUNT really FUCKING loudly and do those racking child like sobs you can no longer do past 16, but I don't have the energy to even try. It's like my internal fire has gone out and all I can muster is weary space staring.

So it took 7 months for me to fall pregnant. Then 2 months to lose the baby. Now pretty much 10 months in and nothing to show for it bar stress lines. It really is the shittiest of bullshitting feelings and yet I know by comparison I am lucky. I just can't quite feel it at the moment.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 25/03/2014 09:18

Wow!! 2 bfps in one day!! Congratu-friggin-lations Penguin and MissH!! Grin Grin Wishing you very sticky beans and boring, uneventful, happy and healthy pregnancies!! Everytime there's a bfp on this thread it fills me with renewed hope!!

Parsley - sorry you're having a rotten morning, but it's good that the Dr is re-doing tests and the mc hasn't sent you back to the beginning of the line.
