The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Morning all. Miss H really really hope it sticks and all works out.
Holiday idea is an excellent one, we are kinda doing the same, my first due date was 26th April and we'll be on hols til just before - constrained by Easter as I'm a teacher.
Also my last chance for a bfp before my due date. 4 dpo, had a horrible breakout of spots yesterday, would be worth it if I was pg! Unlikely though.

GailLondon · 27/03/2014 22:38

missH lobbing a lemon sole in your general direction but totally understand how you're feeling.
parsley ooh! holiday! Lovely idea

Not much to report here, AF in full swing, hoping she buggers off soon.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 27/03/2014 22:08

Evening ladies, hope you've had posifrickintive days!

MissH, with everyone else - rooting for beany Hobart to stick!! I know it must be so bloody hard, but try not to think about what could happen and enjoy that today, you are upduffed.
Parsley, that sounds like a bloody marvelous idea....must mention this cunning plan to Mr English! Where are you going to go?
Sebs, glad you're feeling a bit better, take each day as it comes. There'll be brighter days, I promise.

Sorry if anyone is feeling low, sending you hugs. And if anyone requires a fish slap... Have a heap of herring!

Cakebaker35 · 27/03/2014 21:37

parsley so very true and I'm with you there on holiday booking - thinking of buggering off somewhere lovely on what would've been my due date.

jet good to have you there too, definitely helps somehow xx

missh totally understandable to be stressing, we're definitely all rooting for you.

Penguin13 · 27/03/2014 20:31

MissH if it makes you feel any better I have done 3 tests in 3 days Blush

Parsley2506 · 27/03/2014 20:12

How's this for tempting a BFP

I don't recall if it was this or my other thread but someone recently very eloquently said that life becomes very small when ttc, constantly avoiding situations/experiences 'just in case' and even more so when you've been at it as long as some of us on this thread have. Add in the fear all us Posifrickentive ladies have of it all going tits up at a moments notice and it's amazing we manage to get anything done at all, ever.

So, MrP and I are going to book a really nice, really bloody expensive holiday with some of our IVF fund savings, all inclusive (so lots of Wine Wine Wine), for later this summer. Fuck all of this, I want my life back, even if it is just for a week!

MissH have a ruddy great tuna, although I know I'd be cacking myself daily with anxiety in your shoes so YANBU to be stressing out. As Carly says, we are all rooting for you and your bean.

Jetpackplease · 27/03/2014 19:00

Triple that must be a really hard decision to make, but I agree that the law of sod surely means a bfp will follow. And you'll be delighted to buy new baby stuff when it does Smile

cake is it strange that I take some comfort from the fact we are at the same stage post-mc/erpc? It somehow helps to know others are having the same experience, though sad too.

MissH I'm sure we all understand the sense of panic and anxiety - and we're all hoping so hard that this is a sticky bean for you. But chucking a sardine your way, if it helps.

Hugs to you Holly.

MissHobart · 27/03/2014 18:38

Maybe it's all fine, your reply have my eyes a weepy twinge! Hmm

I could not get through all this without you lot! Grin

I started watching the dispatches thing, turned it off though, thought it was going to be about miscarriage and informative, just a bit too depressing Confused

Carly6971 · 27/03/2014 18:33

triple I watched the dispatches on mc. Very sad. Mainly about how they treat the remains of miscarried babies, shocking. A lot of the ladies on there had still births, so although terribly sad it didn't upset me as much as I thought as I have no other children and only my early (10 wk) mc to relate to.

As for getting rid of all your baby stuff that's a sure fire way to tempt fate...fingers crossed for a bfp as soon as you sell your last bit :)

missH don't know what to say as I know I was a wreck before I had even had a mc so if I am ever lucky enough again god help you lot lol! Poas if it will put your mind at rest, today you are pregnant, and we are all rooting for you :) x

MissHobart · 27/03/2014 18:26

I think I'm in need of fish slaps, no real symptoms other than still having a metallic mouth, should I POAS tomorrow just to check? Now making myself crazy that if I do it'll be a BFN, no spotting/blood yet, still don't really believe it Confused

HollyBen · 27/03/2014 18:16

I don't think there will be any need to POAS tomorrow as my continued rummaging has revealed some pink tinged cm Sad fuckity fuck fuck fuck

Triplespin · 27/03/2014 17:57

In other news one year and 2 mc on, I packed up ds's newborn clothes to give away. Sigh. Really feel there is no point in storing up so much stuff when the possibility of it happening soon or ever is low. Whenever I get upduffed, that baby will come after a lot of effort and probably deserves a new wardrobe. The cot and changing table are going to go on ebay next!!

Triplespin · 27/03/2014 17:47

Aww holly I hope you have success this month. You must poas tomorrow!!

Sorry for those who had dating scans coming up. I hope we can all get into TTC with renewed zest and not think about these dates eg scan dates and due dates.

Apparently there was a c4 dispatches on mc. Was anyone brave enough to watch it?

Cakebaker35 · 27/03/2014 17:37

Sebs Flowers

Cakebaker35 · 27/03/2014 17:37

Fish slaps and hugs all round as well as everything crossed for some more bfps. It should've been my dating scan yesterday too jet Sad For the first time I'm also thinking about if I might be upduffed before my due date but first of all need to get this old body working sort of normally again and hopefully the mind will be too....

I'm 8 days past the erpc and still bloody bleeding, wish it would just fuck the fuck off now as I've pretty much been bleeding for 3 weeks now Angry and the mc itself probably happened 6 weeks ago. Daren't even poas yet, I'm sure it will still be positive and that will make me even more grumpy and sweary.

Met with a friend yesterday who'd mc'd twins like me, I never knew until now though that she was basically sent packing by her gp and not even offered any options apart from just 'let it happen'. Poor thing bled for weeks and weeks, she wishes now she'd been tougher and gone back to get another opinion but was in too much of a state to think clearly. So I actually felt incredibly grateful to have a gp that actually cares and was good enough to refer me to gynae for scan etc. Just a good reminder and a slap round the face with a haddock that there are plenty of people worse off than me.

sebsmummy1 · 27/03/2014 17:19

Just checking in.

Feel a little calmer. Not hugely optimistic but I'm trying very hard to make some positive external plans and am really hoping they will take my mind off of the TTC journey.

Lots of fingers crossed for the girls in their 2ww xxx

OttersPocket · 27/03/2014 11:54

Ah broody, don't be too hard on yourself love. My BIL and his partner are also expecting and have the same due date I had Sad

I've not actually seen SIL as they don't live close to DP and I, but I have spent time with BIL who, understandably, is very excited and keeps showing off the bloody scan photos. It's incredibly hard. Be kind to yourself Flowers

broodylicious · 27/03/2014 11:30

jetpack I was just the same, desperate to see the bfn for once! It only came earlier this week, 3.5 weeks after my mc. Think I still had the hormone for so long because I was12 weeks when I mc. Now I want to know if this bleeding and cramps I have is AF so, like you, we can get back on the horse so to speak Wink Its 4 weeks today since my mc and feels like a mini milestone if this is proper AF, after a bit of bleeding earlier this week.

Thanks for your support yesterday girls; it was very difficult seeing SIL at dd's party and I couldn't bring myself to hardly say two words to them. I know I was a bit mean and very selfish not congratulating them, especially as they're so lovely, but I'm not ready to be happy for them just yet and I'd rather not be false about it. It's stupid thinking like this but I felt almost betrayed that they could've got upduffed! Hate myself really but I have to be true to me because I am, if nothing else, very honest.

Jetpackplease · 27/03/2014 11:13

Holly I really feel for you and hope the bfp is imminent. Although I've only just had my mmc, the thought of not being upduffed again before my due date is a real fear already.

Today right now, not that I'm counting should have been my dating scan Sad. DH and I have a night away booked, which was supposed to be a celebration, but actually still feels like a nice thing to do, just to get away.

I am 9 days post-erpc today and the bleeding seems to have nearly stopped. I poas this morning and was annoyed to still see a bfp (how things change) as I really want my body to work out what the hell is going on and get me fertile again - someone knock some sense into me with a sturgeon, I am waaaaaaay too impatient!

HollyBen · 27/03/2014 10:43

cd29 officially known (in my crazy ttc brain) as spotting day. I am on frequent trips to the loo for knicker watch duty with a bit of rummaging thrown in for good measure. Nothing to report so far. I did have a teeny blob of brown on tuesday night but not feeling too hopeful. This is my last chance to be upduffed before my due day Sad

MissHobart · 27/03/2014 09:49

Office - you don't need fish slaps for that, we were watching SVU the other night and the detective thought she was pregnant, I loudly announced "for Fucks sake, not her as well, I bet the actress is already pregnant, that's why she's wearing a massive coat and her face does look a bit puffy" , five minutes later it turned out that she wasn't, I had to eat my words! Hmm

Watching the first series of Game of Thrones last night and I had to Hmm at one of them being pregnant and not knowing until her slave pointed out she'd not "bled in two moons"

It's everywhere! Confused

CakesALot · 27/03/2014 07:29

You are not alone office! There seems to be this whole world of stuff I never even registered before but now it's everywhere!!

I'm also desperate now for af to appear. I reckon she's hanging on til tomorrow so I'll get my hopes up a POAS in the morning then she'll show up in the afternoon. Witch.

officelady · 27/03/2014 07:07

Right, who's got the bucket of fish - pass it over here please, I need a good slap!
I seem to have developed some sort of maternity radar that homes in on any comment, TV programme, website blah de blah that revolves around babies or pregnancy or conception and it's making me a little bit mental! Seriously in danger of becoming obsessed - tell me it's normal and it will wear off .... anyone?
Oh and will my ovulation or my period hurry the fuck up! Thankyou please!!
[end rant]

Penguin13 · 26/03/2014 23:16

Broody sorry for the unexpected baby bomb from close quarters. I hope seeing them today wasn't too upsetting. My sil is due a week before my old due date so I know it's really hard. Hugs.

Otters I think I officially handed in my right to fish slap anyone this Tuesday. You're not out yet so keep that chin up and those tits out.

Lacey show me the woman who has never symptom spotted early in her 2ww and I will show you a big fat liar! Hope the symptoms lead to a big fat BFP.
