The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Is it sad that I'm super excited to have had all ovulation signs... Nice positive OPK, (tmi) big glob of ewcm and cervix is up by my armpits!! DH is not going to know what's hit him this weekend!

sebsmummy1 · 28/03/2014 10:47

Congratulations Cakes!!! Fabulous news Grin

Otters you know what I'm going to say ..... It ain't over till ...... (But i totally get you as I have also always got a pos by 11dpo so big hugs).

tannyLoo · 28/03/2014 10:45

Otters if you're out I'm really sorry, but let's see, eh?
Cakes well done you! Let the knicker checking begin...

Here in Tanny Towers we are 11dpo and slip sliding all over the shop. I should be oving tomorrow or next day but am still on enforced nttc Hmm . What a waste of a good looking ov cycle. Still, that'll be 2 cycles down 1 to go...

This is my last day of sick leave. I start back on Monday after 6 weeks off. I'm feeling a bit better and less mad. Really thought I was losing it there for a while Blush .

Jetpackplease · 28/03/2014 10:42

Cakes that's wonderful - congratulations! And in your WTF cycle - amazing! Fx for you that this is the one. This thread is giving me so much hope Smile.

Otters sorry for your disappointment today, but as others have said, you're not out yet. Fwiw in Jan I had a bfn at 14dpo and didn't test again until 23dpo when I got the bfp - so sometimes the 14 day 'rule' doesn't work. Fx still crossed for you.

CakesALot · 28/03/2014 09:54

Thanks everyone Smile I don't think I'll be truly happy until I've had blood tests and a happy healthy scan but it's some kind of miracle for sure. I'll head off and see my GP next week and no doubt get a slap on the wrist for not waiting for af to show up before trying again This thread is bringing some good luck. Penguin, lol at the knicker checking and knocker poking! So true! And I'm certain I'll POAS daily for a while yet, might as well use up my stocks, right?!

Littlelady33 · 28/03/2014 09:53

This is an amazingly lucky thread! Am even prepared to believe that my random cramping is ovulation after all and will jump DH as much as possible this weekend. What a great start to a Friday!

GailLondon · 28/03/2014 09:43

cakes! amazing ! fabulous news!!!

Metalhead · 28/03/2014 09:41

Amazing news Cakes! What a great week we've had on this thread. Hope you have a very sticky bean this time. x

OttersPocket · 28/03/2014 09:39

Thanks for the reassurance everyone. I can't help but compare things to when I got my bfp last year (i.e.strong bfp at 10dpo). Daft I know. I've had a wee cry but getting my CUTO. Again.

Cakes Congratulations! A bfp in your WTF cycle - amazing Grin

Penguin13 · 28/03/2014 09:37

I may have PO yet another freakin stick today. Which would be um four tests in as many days. But I was just doing it to keep you guys company. I definitely don't have a problem. I can stop anytime I want Blush.

Littlelady33 · 28/03/2014 09:36

So excited for you Cakes! And otters you're not out yet, I'm sure missh has a bfn around then?

EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/03/2014 09:35

Otters, sorry for the bfn. But hopefully its just too early like the others have said. Your not out yet.

Penguin13 · 28/03/2014 09:34

Cakes yayyyyyy for you!!!! So exciting! Brilliant news. Welcome to the recently formed 'obsessive knicker checkers, knocker poker and symptom seeker's club'. So happy for you.

CakesALot · 28/03/2014 09:33

I'll second that Otters, I did a sneaky test on Monday, which would've been 11 dpo and nothing. And that was with a supposedly early detection test (yes, slap me with a fish, I did a secret test!) but today I got a BFP. You're not out yet

Carly6971 · 28/03/2014 09:32

Huge congrats cake :) hoping this is your sticky bean :) x

Penguin13 · 28/03/2014 09:30

Otters I'm so sorry it was a BFN Sad. 11 could still be too early though. Last time round I think I was 14dpo and had tested neg on 13dpo. You are not out till the witch shows but I know what a punch in the gut that BFN is. Hugs.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/03/2014 09:25

Ahhhhh Cakes YAY!! Thats amazing news!! Congratulations! Hope this is a nice sticky one for you!! Will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you!!

CakesALot · 28/03/2014 09:19

Morning everyone.

I POAS this morning believing af should've shown up by now, she's 2 days late...and I got a BFP. Freaking bfp! I'm feeling every emotion going right now. I feel like doing a Gavin and Stacey and going out and buying 32 tests just to be sure. I'm still in the WTF cycle and we had TITH once when i ov'd...

I'm a rambling idiot, I'm sorry!

Metalhead · 28/03/2014 09:05

Sorry to hear that Otters. For what it's worth though, I got a BFN at 11dpo last time followed by a BFP at 13dpo...

OttersPocket · 28/03/2014 08:18

Hi everyone, I poa FRER this morning and, no surprise, huge bfn. 11 dpo and AF due Monday so it should've shown if I was upduffed Sad

Getting pretty pissed off with all now. Moving into my 9th round of Clomid. Sigh.

Triplespin · 28/03/2014 08:16

missh fx for you. I know it's difficult to enjoy being pg at this stage. But hopefully you will soon be over the hump this time.
parsley excellent idea. Maybe you should bring it forward as a holiday is the best time to get upduffed.

little I am 2 wks post mc and got a positive on opk, so probably you might have had as well by your symptoms. I was excited to see the positive but dh wants to wait for his dna frag test results so we are going to skip this cycle. I hope this isn't his way of making an excuse as he hasn't really been fully convinced about TTC and I have mostly had to "force" him that we need to do have another dc.

lacey I had a horrible breakout of spots before I got my bfp so this may be a positive sign. My skin has miraculously cleared up 2 weeks since mc! Lol. Thinking of getting a chemical peel though, does that affect TTC?

gail sorry to hear that AF has arrived. At least you can have some wine over the weekend.
Any poasers today?

metal all the best for the job interviews. That is another way of tempting fate!! Ooh excel is v. annoying, good luck with the refresher.
I may also be putting my cv in for a job. Came across something I liked and given i have postponed this for do long on the notion of "what if I get pg", I think it is time to just go for it! I may need to buy a new suit though if i get an interview as I last bought one 6/7 years ago and the trousers are those super wide leg ones which look bizarre now!

Parsley2506 · 28/03/2014 07:54

little I use beconase, apparently you'd need to be sniffing it 24/7 for the medication to build up on your blood so it's 'safe'

metal exciting! I hope you get it if you decide to go for it. Grin

english ideally Mauritius. I just want white sand, blue seas and someone to bring me fruity cocktails!!

Any lucky POASers today?

OP posts:
Metalhead · 28/03/2014 07:47

Morning all, happy Friday to everyone! Any POASers on here today? If so, good luck.

Also fx for everyone tempting fate with expensive holidays and getting rid of baby things, surely that warrants some more BFPs soon.

As for me, I've got my job interview on Wednesday and am actually starting to brick it a bit. Will have to have a good chat with DH tonight over whether we could actually make it work if I were to get the job as its full time (I'm currently only doing 3 days). And he'll have to give me a quick Excel refresher course as there'll be a test on it and I haven't used it in aaages.

Little sounds like it could be AF on her way. As for antihistamines, I think it's fine to take but if you're worried maybe check whether they're suitable for pregnant women. I imagine the only downside for ttc would be that it might dry up your cm a bit.

Sorry if I've forgotten anyone, it's hard to keep up when you haven't posted in a couple of days!

Littlelady33 · 28/03/2014 07:25

Oh and one more question for you knowledgeable ladies - ok to take hayfever pills when TTC? Perhaps I'm being overly cautious? Have been sneezing for two days and basically can't see

Littlelady33 · 28/03/2014 06:40

Lacey that's a lovely idea, may go for something similar in September. I'm almost 4 weeks post ERPC and have had the strangest and quite painful cramping for the past 24 hours. AF on the way already (which for once would be great) or just one of those random post mc things? I had signs of ov over the past week or so and we've been tying to time things just in case, never had a positive opk but haven't tried that hard with them either. Feel like there's a crazy amount of guess work where it comes to my body at the moment.
