The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

That does sound like a very long time to be bleeding, hippo. I have read that taking the contraceptive pill can help to get your cycle back to normal, maybe suggest that at the doctors? Or he/she might refer you back for a scan to check for retained tissue - did you have a scan after your mc to check if everything had passed? And it sounds awful, so have some Flowers

healthyhippo · 02/04/2014 19:01

Just wondered if anyone can advise or say if this is usual:
Started miscarriage on 4th feb (was about 8-9 weeks along). Eventually got a -ve HPT on 24 Feb but was still bleeding. Kept bleeding for another 2 weeks or so, then had ewcm with a little blood in it for about a week. Got a +ve OPK at the end of that week, thought great maybe ovulating and then started bleeding heavily the next day. Now been bleeding for almost two weeks (apart from the week break I've been pretty much bleeding since 4th Feb!

Have a dr appt on Friday but not really sure what to ask for, I'm just fed up with all the bleeding and want to get back to normal.

broodylicious · 02/04/2014 16:55

Ya know ladies, aren't our bodies just miraculously shite? All this mc business is crap enough then AF/OVing going loopy and doctors being so unfeeling it's ridiculous. Honestly, I think we deserve a medal for getting through an hour, let alone a day! Hugs and high fives to sisterhood fuck me, I'm so American sometimes!

Hello and welcome to newbies, sorry you're here but enjoy the time you're here and take comfort in the fact you're not alone in this crappy time or your poas addiction Wink

Jetpackplease · 02/04/2014 15:33

Welcome Catty and Boba - sorry for your losses.

Tanny, I hope you start to feel better soon and that you do get the proper care - it can be so frustrating when you feel the medics are not doing everything they can.

Parsley, hope your cycle settles down before the tests - sometimes it's a complete bloody mystery.

I'm having my own WTAF moment this week. 2 weeks exactly post-erpc yesterday. Had some brown mucousy stuff for a couple of days but no actual blood. Very faint positive pg test yesterday morning so still some traces of HCG in there that made me think using opks would be pointless. However, I swear there was also some ewcm! I guess it can't have been, as I didn't think ov was possible until all the HCG has gone?? Anyway, I pounced on DH for some TITH yesterday - first time since the erpc. I thought I may as well just in case, and also needed to get back in the saddle Smile. But I really have no idea how to track/count this "cycle" at the moment and guess I will just DTD every couple of days until AF shows up and I can re-set the clock. It's very confusing and frustrating - particularly as I am one of life's planners. I hate the total lack of control.

Seasides · 02/04/2014 15:29

Shock tanny!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 02/04/2014 15:21

Oh parsley, that's a bit confusing! And I really don't know what to suggest...
I started using vitex but I'm not sure it's helping.. Haven't ovulated since. And it's supposed to help with ovulation! But then don't know if that's the vitex or just my crap post mc womble! I'd maybe call the dr and explain and see what he says..

Tanny - although i'm glad your gp is taking your history/current situation seriously and referring you, what he said is very insensitive! I'd have been sure to make some kind of narky retort! Stupid dr!!

tannyLoo · 02/04/2014 14:25

I'm ok Parsley, though I seem to be mostly stopping our house from falling down. How it survives the day without me usually is astonishing.

I went to see my GP this morning and he's pleased that his letter to the consultant seems to have had a response. "He thinks you're an interesting case and will now take more interest in your care!" Oh I'm sooo pleased that my 5 dead babies make me interesting. Pity those poor saps with their boring textbook pregnancies... Grrr... Angry

And breathe...

Signed off for a fortnight. God I hope I can get back to work then...

Seasides · 02/04/2014 14:17

Hmm - I would go back to your previous regime parsley, at least so you can get 21day bloods done - then they can tell you if your oestrogen is too high. What did the natural therapist base that on, did she take blood? I can't see how, if your cycle was so regular, the vitex and EP could have been screwing your hormones up?

Also, I think it's the test the doc does on day 2 of your AF that accurately measures Oestrodial (oestrogen) as well as FSH - I got it a couple of months back - so maybe ask for that one?

TeaRex · 02/04/2014 13:36

Hello catty and boba as everyone's said hopefully your stay will be a short one :)

As for me, absolutely nothing occurring, my little bit of bleeding stopped so that's something but god knows what it was as dr google diagnosed ovulation/anovulatry cycle/implantation/general fucked-up-ness post mc. So clear as mud, did buy some opks and have been peeing on those in the evenings but no strong second line so it's a waiting game as per usual. Hope everyone's doing okay though? Anyone poas this Friday? And any exciting plans for the weekend?
I've got holiday envy by the way parsley :) but sorry to hear your cycles not playing ball :(

otters I got AF the day after my wedding so first few days of the honeymoon were a bit subdued lol but didn't matter too much and fx you'll be knocked up before then.

Parsley2506 · 02/04/2014 12:59

also, I'm supposed to be going for CD21 bloods this month but as I now have no fucking clue when my period might show up (2 weeks? 3 weeks?) I can't! ARGH. And I just told our GP how bloody regular my cycle is which he will have duly put in the referral letter to the FC.

FFS!

Parsley2506 · 02/04/2014 12:57

well what the actual fuckety fuck is going on Sad

I MCed nearly 5 months ago. Started taking 1600mg vitex and 100mg Evening Primrose as soon as MC was over and have had clockwork AF since - 31 days exactly, almost to the bloody hour with OV around Day 16/17.
I consulted a natural therapist last month who advised me my Vitex intake was too high and also that EP is making me too Oestrogen dominant, so I duly ditched the EP and halved the Agnus Castus to 800mg, as well as starting on Magnesium, a v v low dose of B6 and CoQ10.

CBFM started asking for sticks on day 7 - got high IMMEDIATELY, and then this morning CD10 - fucking peak!! What the hell?!?

I don't know what to do now. Was the high Vitex/EP just masking my true screwed up cycle or has stopping taking it screwed it up?? I was usually 28 days before the MC

Argh!

otters that sucks. I hope you don't have to deal with AF on your wedding day but that's exactly what the cow would do!

Hope everyone else is well. Tanny i hope you're Ok at home.

OttersPocket · 02/04/2014 10:49

Tell me about it Seasides

Oh yes, please do pm me - that would be great!

Seasides · 02/04/2014 10:34

What the frick are the chances otter?! That seems to have happened to all the brides on these threads - proof that AF is not coincidentally a bitch, she really does like screwing with us.

I can DM you the details of a decent Edinburgh plumber if you like? Everyone in my old office used him.

OttersPocket · 02/04/2014 10:12

I have indeed worked the dates out Seasides - if I'm not upduffed by then , then AF is due to start on the day of the wedding. How's that for timing? ShockHmm

Glad your ceiling is sorted - we've got a leaky pipe in the almost completed new kitchen. Every plumber we've had here is feckin' useless. Grr.

Seasides · 02/04/2014 09:57

Yep, two middle fingers to TTC, it is balls. On the plus side, I no longer have water pouring through my ceiling every time someone flushes the loo or uses the shower upstairs, so that's a win! It is a glorious relief to find a builder that knows what they're doing and isn't trying to screw you over.

Sorry for AF otter, I hate her. Dreading her inevitable arrival on Sunday. FWIW, I wouldn't be able to hold off from TTC in your position - have you worked the dates out? Even if it doesn't happen by then, there's a good chance you could still enjoy the champers - and frankly, even if you are in the 2ww, one or three two isn't going to hurt. And if you are upduffed - well, then that would be marvellous. Particularly when you've got the Clomid clock ticking.

OttersPocket · 02/04/2014 09:33

Hi everyone, welcome catty and boba.

Just popping in to say hi and to catch-up with folks. Think it's time we got some for bfps on here!

Well my AF showed up two days late this morning. What a bloody cruel trick that is. And I'm in agony, my back and my womble area is killing me. TTC can just fuck right off just now, I'm really losing hope. Sigh. CUTO.

I told DP when I was drunk that we could put ttc on hold until after the wedding in July. Ha-bloody-ha. I'm already plotting out tith days for this month. I'm onto my final 3 rounds (out of 12) of Clomid so I don't really want to waste them. The thing is, DP was really keen to put it on hold, he wants me to enjoy the champagne and cocktails wedding. He doesn't understand that my mc due date is before the wedding and I'm freaking out about not being upduffed by the. Argh, stupid ttc bollocks Angry

Anyhoo, hope everyone is having a slightly less shit day today!

Seasides · 02/04/2014 09:07

Grin drier than a camel's flip-flop! Oh no carly, what's the fight about?!

Carly6971 · 02/04/2014 08:59

Morning ladies, nothing to report here either. My cbfm isn't even asking for a stick yet (cd7) but been so long since I last used it I can't remember when it does...about day 9 for me I think! Anyways no tith in this house either as I am not even speaking to DH at the minute lol x

sebsmummy1 · 02/04/2014 08:47

Argh office, you are bringing back memories of my own WTF cycle and it was a total head fuck. Hopefully it will turn into something soon so you can start tracking your cycles again.

Well my CBFM hates me this month. I'm on cd10, still showing Low and yet I am due to ovulate on cd13! I am going to just carry on my BD plan regardless. Might go and get some opks though so I can double check in the afternoon.

officelady · 02/04/2014 07:13

Morning chaps Smile
Hello to the newbies, may your stay be short and sweet!
I just wanted to post a message to say hello because I literally have nothing to report. No bedroom action (too knackered and not interested) and no sign of ovulation occuring anytime this century I am POAS daily but getting either very very faint second lines, or no test line at all. Also no sign of EWCM, or indeed anything mucusy at all - it's drier than a camel's flip-flop down there. I have started charting my temp and that's staying low too.

I'm on CD19 of my wtf cycle. So I guess it's still early days but I am Very Very Impatient!!!!!!!

Seasides · 01/04/2014 22:22

You're very welcome tanny! Of course sal (nice to have you back Smile), just DM me your email (soon I will know all your real identities mwha ha ha Grin and you'll all have to be extra nice to me so I keep your ewcm secrets! Well, and vice versa I suppose when I email you back. There goes that evil scheme...)

Sal1977 · 01/04/2014 21:55

Hey ladybugs! Just checking in to say hello! Been decorating all weekend and with a lovely positive OPK today, off to christen the new bedroom!

Seasides, any chance you could send me that handout lovely? X

tannyLoo · 01/04/2014 21:31

Seasides big thank yous for the worrywarts guide. I intend to read it over the next few days. Smile

EnglishGirlAbroad · 01/04/2014 16:34

Welcome Catty and Boba, like others have said, I wish you a short stay with us, but we'll help to pick you when you're feeling down and cheer you on when your feeling great.

Gail - I can't bloody wait to come back. Only been away 6 months, but never wanted to leave in the first place. As much as people slate the nhs, i've really learnt to appreciate it.
There's so much I miss about the uk - mainly family and friends but stupid stuff too. I think when I'm back i'll probably feel a whole lot more happy about life in general. Right now, I can't say I'm happy, just muddling by.

BobaFetaCheese · 01/04/2014 16:12

Rejoining this thread (was only here a short time, so fingers crossed for a short stay).
TTC#3, in the middle of a wtf end of cycle (bfp, bfn, bfn the last three days) so expecting another chem. 4 (or 5 can't remember!) previous chems, 1 proper mc and 2 lovely boys (ds2 was conceived the cycle after 7wk loss).

Will read through the fred now and won't poas until Friday, honest guv.
