The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Awful news missH, I'm so so sorry. Oh, it's SO unfair! This is the third, isn't it? The doctors must take you seriously now, I hope you get some answers very soon, and you have lots of support IRL - we go without saying, of course. Thanks Thanks Thanks

officelady · 05/04/2014 07:55

Oh no MissH that is truly crap! Sad Any point ringing the GP or are you going to wait it out at home? I guess at 5+5 they are unlikely to do anything constructive like an early scan. I think you should make an appointment next week though, to try and get an answer to your WHY.

I am so sorry this is happening to you.

MissHobart · 05/04/2014 07:50

Morning ladies, about to bring you all down with a bang, I'm pretty sure I have just begun my 3rd miscarriage. Brown spotting stopped on Thursday so I dared to hope, stupid me, woke up bleeding, proper bleeding, red with clots, no more baby Sad 5+5 today, the most pregnant I have ever been.

WHY??????? Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

Sorry everyone, I hope all the other BFP's stick.

Seasides · 05/04/2014 07:33

So much happening! Great big whopping congratulations to all the BFPs, so great to have such a successful thread. And to you english, for finally being put out of your misery by your body, it sounded horrible to be in such limbo.

I'm so glad you've worked it out with your DH carly - things seem so much crapper when DH and I are at odds, long may peace reign.

Nice work and a high five once you've washed those grubby hands for all the gourmet TITH sebs! Sure you've appeased the TTC gods with your commitment and this will be your month Grin

Sorry to see you here newbies. omama, I too think it's time for a test, when you're ready. We all understand the fear here - and I think (haven't had the need to investigate) there are post-mc pg threads with lots of support for just those fears.

Talking of tests, I joined in late this morning as we've a dinner party tonight and want to know if I can drink. Got a BFN for punishment for breaking the rules, of course. It's only 10dpo, so too early I know - singing the chorus to myself 'you're not out until the witch shows!' Which will be tomorrow probs. Just my hopeful nipples and raging 2ww appetite to keep me company until then!

sebsmummy1 · 04/04/2014 23:20

Oh English that is fantastic news. Brilliant. Least you now have a cd1 again, how funny that sometimes AF can actually feel like a god send when most of the time she's just a bitch.

Well I have to say my man surpassed himself today. Two TITH with bloody massive dollops of gravy, god knows how he managed to accumulate so much man juice lol. I just hope it's a good vintage and not salt water Grin. The plan is a few more sessions tomorrow and sun then the joy of the 2ww. This is the first month I've actually used a proper basal thermometer so I'll be interested to see if I get a decent temperature shift. Normally FF gives me dotted cross hatches as my temps are a bit random.

Welcome newbies xxx

EnglishGirlAbroad · 04/04/2014 22:21

Welcome havetoWAIT and Onama. Sorry that you've been through such shittyness. I hope you find this thread as welcoming and supportive as I have.
Onama... I say you poas today... As we're only allowed to poas on Fridays Wink But really I totally get how you must be feeling. We'll throw you a hall pass when you feel ready to poas. Hope it's a nice sticky BFP for you!

IhavetowaitHOWlong · 04/04/2014 22:10

Missed my age off my stats. I'm 37, just! 38 in a few days, not that I feel like celebrating. Too busy feeling guilty for making DH wait so long before I was ready to TTC and wondering if I'm past it.

When does the positivity kick in? Wink

broodylicious · 04/04/2014 22:01

Oh wait, how horrid Hmm You've come to the right place for some support, so big welcome x

omama · 04/04/2014 21:59

Hi ladies been lurking for the last couple of days but think am ready to rejoin if that's ok? Congrats to the lucky ladies with BFP's today!

Had mmc at 11 weeks last June & was on these threads for a while but found I was getting really stressed out ttc so stopped for a while. Now ready to come back but not really sure if I should be here or on the long term ttc boards.

We've been ttc for 2 years in total now, been having irregular / poss anovulatory cycles since the mmc so have had tests with the GP this month which have all come back normal. I actually ovulated this month for the first time in 3 months Smile (confirmed by test results), had some cramps around 6-7dpo (implantation?) & my chart shows a triphasic dip at 10dpo.

Its now cd 36, am 15dpo (LP usually 12 days) & I am too terrified to take a test. Partly because I don't want to be disappointed again by my body playing tricks on me & partly because I am scared that if I am pg, it will end in mc again. Is it too soon to test? Maybe I should wait a few more days. Hmm

IhavetowaitHOWlong · 04/04/2014 21:55

Hello all you positive people, can I join? I could really do with some posifrickentivity.

Went on holiday last weekend full of hope with a BFP, the start of morning sickness, a horrible metallic taste I'd had for three weeks, sore boobs, superhuman sense of smell, the works. Came home today full of sadness with 24 hours of increasingly heavy bleeding, horrible cramps and loss of all other symptoms. Not the best holiday ever.

My stats: IhavetowaitHOWlong TTC #2 since Dec '13. MC Feb '14, MC Apr '14

Parsley2506 · 04/04/2014 21:52

Yay for AF english - have a Wine to celebrate!

sal there's a trick Ann Summers are missing. Sex winches, for when you've just had too much dinner. Wink

I just ate so much that my belly has overtaken my boobs. Bad times. Gonna need a crane to DTD tonight to lift my lardy arse up and down! Confused

tannyLoo · 04/04/2014 21:38

English have a "Great to hear Aunt Flo is in the house" card. You deserve it! Here's to your next cycle being a goodun...

EnglishGirlAbroad · 04/04/2014 21:15

Looks like AF has finally arrived. Never felt so glad! Fuck knows what was going on with my positive OPKs last week...hopefully this will do the trick and reset my fucked up body!

broodylicious · 04/04/2014 19:56

Absolutely carly, plenty of room in our little subgroup WinkSmile xx

Metalhead · 04/04/2014 19:06

hippo I was prescribed it once to delay my period as I was going on holiday, didn't take it in the end though as AF showed up early. I think with you the idea is that you will get a period when you stop taking it, and that will restart your normal cycles as you say.

healthyhippo · 04/04/2014 18:25

Congrats anf good luck to everyone with their bfp's.

Saw the dr with my bleeding today and have been given norethisterone for ten days. Not taken anything medication wise for years so seems a bit odd. Think its to restart my cycle again. Anyone had this before?

Parsley2506 · 04/04/2014 15:45

Carly that genuinely made me LOL. Have a 'Congratulations for still managing to get the deed done even when you're raging mad' card.
Glad you're feeling a bit better about things today. Like you say, things often seem worse than they are (especially when you're in the middle of the shit bit). You and your DH are obviously an awesome team to have got this far in such difficult circs so I'm sure you can pull it around. TTC puts such stupid pressure on all of us, it's nuts.

I'm in two minds over these supplements too english and sebs. It's tricky tho as I spent 17 cycles ttc not taking anything except folic acid and NOTHING. Then I take some agnus castus Cycle 18 and, lo, a BFP! I think that's what's stopping me from stopiing IYSWIM. That said, my cycle is so messed up this month, I might have to rethink. Hmm

Hope you're enjoying your second helping of TITH sebs! 4th night in a row here tonight, then a much needed breather tomorrow!

tannyLoo · 04/04/2014 14:50

I might try that approach tonight! Glad you're ok Smile

Carly6971 · 04/04/2014 14:31

tanny I am doing ok :) just had a rough couple of weeks with DH, always seems worse than it is doesn't it? Trying to be positive and looking forward to 2 weeks off, then starting a whole new challenge with this new job after Easter, plus my mums coming bank hol weekend :) can't wait! She really gets it...I love her!

Men, can't live with em, can't live without em.

But 10/10 for effort we hadn't spoke for 48 the other day but sticking to smep as close as we can I shouted him 'you better come to bed it's a sex day' lol and bless his cottons we had the weirdest sex ever, silent lol...but did the job n ended up in stitches n made up :) things we do whilst ttc!

tannyLoo · 04/04/2014 14:20

Carly welcome! I was wondering how you are today chick.

I'm in the second half of my cycle and managed to turn a chat with dh into a full blown "we don't communicate anymore" argument... We're all at it!

Hope you're doing ok x

Carly6971 · 04/04/2014 14:11

parsley no I am not a teacher I am an eyfs practioner. Am just taking over managing a pre-school so term time only :) whoop!

Carly6971 · 04/04/2014 13:49

tanny and broody can I also join your sub group lol? After it taking 6 years for our first bfp I will defo be here in summer too :) prob until the summer after your yet to be conceived babies start school...argh! But broody I got my bfp the month after we brought our new house ;) x

EnglishGirlAbroad · 04/04/2014 13:14

I think you're right... I'm taking epo, vitex and maca. Gonna ditch it all and just stick with my pregnacare. Think I just needed someone else to tell me to stop! At least that way of I do end up having tests, the results will be true. My name is English and I'm ditching the supplements!
Thanks Sebs Smile

BobaFetaCheese · 04/04/2014 13:11

I had a short luteal phase prior to having DS2 (it's been mostly 'normal' since then), but Vitex messed it up more (delayed ov, but did nothing for luteal phase), Soy worked for me (in so much as I got a bfp off it, then mc), so hope you can work out what's best for you English

Good luck tonight Metalhead!
